I have 4 weeks left till I get the Liberal Arts Degree, and then I think I'm going to be done for a while. I wanted to eventually get a doctors (or masters at the very least) in sociology, but damn I'm too lazy.. I was watching news on the gay marriages in CA, how it may get overturned. I asked DH what happens if you got married & then it's overturned, he said they become null.. is that true? I can't believe they'd be able to do that. If someone told me tomorrow my marriage is now null, I'd go ballistic! I took my last b/c pill 2 days ago.. :biggrin2: Mom told me something funny she saw on some movie (i don't know which one), the beginning was talking about the year 2050.. and it was NOT smart people & robots, etc. It showed a couple in 2005, rednecks who just got a high school education.. and a couple, who are working professional jobs and higher education etc. The rednecks go 'damn, we're pregnant' at 18.. the professional couple goes "We should wait till we get our masters degree before having kids". Couple years later, rednecks go "Damn, pregnant with twins this time!" and the professional couple says "We should wait till we get more money". Couple years later, redneck couple pregnant with MORE twins, and the professional couple is now ready for kids, but having fertility issues and are up in the years, etc. So by 2050, we'll be populated by the uneducated redneck type, NOT the smart folks!! Thought that was funny.

Hah Denise, but Kat is right, that is my HAMMOCK CHAIR.. but the place the sex swing goes if it's hung up. That's why I got the hammock chair, so if someone wants to know why I got a chain in my ceiling in the bedroom. Ends up I really like the chair much more than the swing! The bargains on craigslist, well I wouldn't use paypal, I only do local stuff if I buy/sell- cash only. I went and saw the china hutch today, omg, I was so thrilled. These people are hella rich too, marble walls and crap.. and she cut me a deal.. if I can pick up her new one (3 blocks down the road). Her husband just had knee surgery and a shipping company quoted them $200 to move it. I said yes really quickly, I inspected the piece I am going to buy, SOLID WOOD.. it's so beautiful, I can't believe I am getting a china hutch.. I've been running around the house dancing. So tomorrow I'm going to have a couple shipping guys & the work van and going to pick theirs up, then take their old one.. here's a pic of it (2 lights, glass shelves)-

Wooo Terry I'd hate to be on the receiving end of a fight with you..I heard you with the hotel people lol. You don't take crap from anyone!!! Hope things smooth over and your mom gets better.. have lots of fun tonight!! I miss you guys, but today I found such a bargain I had to share.. ya'll'd be so proud of my bargain hunting skills. First, here is my bedroom from one wall. We have a nice microsuede headboard, the fancy blinds, and a dresser you can't see.. oh and like 5 blankets (I love cuddlin at night hehe).. (SEE THE HAMMOCK?!?!) anyway, but our tv has been on a nightstand thing since we moved in together years ago. I could never justify spending money on something nice for it, since it's just the bedroom. Today on Craigslist I found an entertainment center for 20 bucks.. 20!!! And the dimensions fit between our closet & bathroom door PERFECTLY. I couldn't believe it.. that's where we keep the tv.. voila!! Shelves & everything, they're bare now I am debating what to put there. I am so excited, so been cleaning the house so I can invite my mom over to oogle it with me lol. BTW tv is not dirty, I dunno what the heck all that is.

Glad you liked them Terry!! Yes, it was brightlings, knew it was something like that. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! My back pains went away about 30-40lbs into weight loss (hooray!!), but about a month ago I started getting lower back pains again. Nothing crippling like it use to be, and legs don't hurt anymore.. but a constant throbbing in lower back like I pulled a muscle, but it never went away. I took advil a few times, with no help so I finally decided to go to a chiropractor again. He did x-rays this morning, and showed me a bone spur on my spine.. DOH!!!!!! Damn bones. Damn spurs. I also saw the bottom of my band tubing, which was interesting, one section of it was really bright. I still have my scoliosis, and cause I hold my weight weird he thinks it caused the spur.. so he said my right hip is locked up, and he did something to jerk me.. and wowee.. it was amazin, my whole body made tons of noises! And then instantly my hips stopped throbbing.. then within 5 minutes, my back is killing me. It's so sore from whatever he did.. but hopefully it will eventually keep me from being so tight back there.

Lol Tracy that is a funny story. It's been about 100 here lately, but the A/C in my house is a beauty. Has stayed 68 degrees with no waivering!! First time ever, when I lived in New Mexico it sounded much like your story. Hot as hell, and our a/c never worked.. it would get to 80's if we were lucky inside, and when we had people look at it, they gave us some story about swamp coolers (which is what you guys use out west?!) and how they can only cool places off by 20 degrees. SCREW THAT!! Central Air for the win.

WOOHOO YOU GO GIRL!!!! I had...chic-fil-a kids meal nuggets for lunch, and I'm eating the inside of a chili cheeseburger from sonic.. with my ocean water (my horrible sweet, gotta -have item of the day)...and watching "Farmer wants a wife".. anyone watch it? ((Kat))!! I was hoping to hear things are smoothing over out there. CTCD.. I did so good.. I had a salad for lunch, salad for dinner, 100 calorie goldfish for snack.. Then some reason.. some stupid reason, I go to the grocery store next to the restaurant I had my nice salad dinner at.. and bought.. cupcakes. Derr?!?!?!?! I ate TWO last night. I dunno what my issue is, I just feel like I'll die if I don't eat something horrible and sweet every day. As of last night, I finally saved up enough money in our extra bank account to pay the remainder of our Jamaica trip. YAY!! And I get a big commission check Friday, plus the stimulus next week. I feel like I got all my books in order. I finished paying off our furniture, now I just have to pay off the new lawn mower & weed eater Russell bought and we are debt free! This is about the time I go buy new furniture lol.

Sounds like you're all doing good today!! I have had my energy pill, a bottle of water.. and sipping on coffee w/sweet-n-low. I am craving a salad (thank goodness??) so I am debating where to go get one. Yes, my family makes them TALL (and big)! Wish I had a good pic of my brother standing up, at nearly 7'0 everyone looks so small next to him. I love going in public with him simply because it makes me look normal height. NSV on the NY trip, forgot to mention this too.. I did not pack ANY pants. I don't know why. I brought capris & shorts, but no jeans. I had them in my hands to pack, not sure where I put them. But I didn't want to only wear shorts to walk around, so one day I was complaining and mom told me to try her pants. I've told ya'll before I've never been able to wear her clothes, and I have always wanted to.. well, I put on her size 12 jeans and OMG they fit!! They were low rise, so they only came up to bellow my belly button which I think was part of it, but I could button, zip, sit, walk, etc. in them. I wore them all day, I was just preening!! I also wore her XL sweater comfortably (was cold and I had no warm clothes). I was just beaming that night. I'm wearing the sheer black shirt you gave me Haydee, but I wore it with a black tank top this time!! I've had 5 people comment on how cute I look today and someone asked if I had an interview or something lol.

And then here we are, gung ho and excited about the race!! And then miserable day, but here's what we waited all day for!!! Big Brown is far right (Gate 1!) And then... booo... He just stops!

Lady Liberty! A street peddler guy was offering pics with his snake. I don't have a problem with snakes, especially pet ones.. but Russell is deathly afraid of them.. so for fun I posed with it and texted him pics. Woohoo. It was a baby boa, and he kept constricting on my neck which did make me a little nervous.. then he was smelling my ear and cheek which tickled. Fun! Me & the lady!

Prayer for your family Tracy! And Kat hope the storm moves past quickly, such a rotten feeling to fight with your loved one. Not much to chat about here, I just got the camera from my uncle so going to post some pics for ya'll of my trip. Wee. Oh hah I just remembered.. I didn't tell ya'll about the SNAKE!!!

:tongue2: I don't know what they actually were, I just am guessing. Was 10 gorgeous asian women, with the traditional make up, all had the hair exactly the same with ornamentation, all had the exact same kimono dress thing on. They were following 2 asian men in suits. We called them the geisha group, but I can't say that's what they really were! It was a nightmare, but I am glad I went. I just wish I could have made things go differently.. the vomit was bad, but I was so hot and miserable, the vomit was just icing on the cake, I didn't freak out much I was just irritated.

Yup, she kept saying "This is everything I ever imagined it was, this is NOT for me", she said we'd go for a Triple Crown hopeful again, but she does not want to be in the city again.

And so it's not even more wordy, last night when I got in, my parents went straight to Bahamas and me & uncle flew home. Where they are in Bahamas, they can call out, but we can't call them. So we get home from the airport, I am SO TIRED.. I just want to sleep, I lay down, an hour into my nap my sister calls.. She's in the hospital - IN NASHVILLE. She decided with rising gas costs and (this was more of the negative crap, night before she called sayin she had a 103 fever and blah blah) her being sick, she should go to Nashville to see her gf.. then started coughing up blood. With my parents gone, I become her new mom. So I'm like wth you doing in Nashville, etc. I told her to call me when she finds anything out, then she calls mom & leaves them a voicemail. So I called them too and said, don't listen to your voicemails!! Then mom calls me, and after NYC she was so happy to get to Bahamas where she can relax. Not so much. She is like "She won't answer the phone, when you talk to her tell her to GET HER ASS HOME, and go to class on Tuesday!!". (I just want to sleep!!!!) So I text sister, she never answers, so I get online this morning, sister is talking about how she's going to Dollywood for a vacation with her g/f today (on her Myspace). So I call her, she is slurring, I'm not sure what she was explaining, but whatever. I just need her to leave my parents alone and let them enjoy their trip.

OOOOKkkk.. finally time to post. My mom never been to NYC, and always had bad ideas about it. I think due to her negative nancy-ness, she BROUGHT bad luck with us. Day 1, we got to the hotel and the guy working is talking.. literally 45 minutes. Me & mom are watching luggage so we keep going up and trying to rush them along. Meanwhile tons of people are checking in & going on their way.. including this geisha group. Well the guy finally gives us our key, we go up, room service said someone just went in there. Low and behold, between the guy's talking and not swiping our room key, the room was given to this geisha group. We go back down, no rooms will be ready till that evening. So.. we checked our luggage in.. you couldn't use the bathrooms in the lobby without a room key, so we go to Battery Park (to Statue of Liberty).. there's a bathroom! Long line, we look in.. 8 stalls, only 1 works.. and that 1 is filled with someone being sick with diarhea. We weren't moving anytime soon. So we walk to a local restaurant, that is extremely crowded, they don't have a bathroom either. We ate some luke-warm food, and decided it was 50-50 if we would get sick from it. Saw the statue, road around on the Ferry.. fun. It's been a nightmare getting a cab this trip, I don't know what's different from other times that I come!! We got one to get back to the hotel, and at some point he goes "It's 4 blocks ahead, I drop you off here". Uh???? So we get out, it was NOT 4 blocks ahead. It was 7 blocks up, 2 blocks over. I kept calling 4-11 to get info, we were so lost. What an ass, I can't believe he did that. Then we get back to the hotel that night, and get checked in.. it's a teeny tiny room with a big window right over the bathtub! We were worn out, did room service & a movie.. then got energy back, so walked down to Timesquare/Broadway at night.. that was neat.. got approached by 2 weirdo people.. 1 was rapping right in my uncle's face, and the other was trying to get my dad's Rolex watch. We kept checking our wallets! Day 2.. got up bright eyed & bushy tailed. A balmy 90 degrees with 70% humidity. Got to the races around 10am, to watch all day. I think that was a big mistake.. but didn't know it at the time. The news never told people this.. but on top of the heat, EVERY SINGLE BATHROOM IN THE PLACE broke by 11am. The first floor stopped up, then 2nd, then 3rd, and there were no more bathrooms. They let people use the top floor bathroom till it was filled up with waste, before they closed it down. 100k people, hot as hell, and no bathrooms!!!! Drenched in sweat from head to toe, places I didn't know I sweat.. Bet on races, won some bets, no breeze to be found.. and hard vomit was on my armrest, didn't think much of it originally, but from all the sweating, I ended up with chunks of vomit all over my arm!! So by time 6pm comes around for Big Brown race, I am so happy to finally see what we came there to see! We had our cameras going, binoculaurs.. I didn't even realize he fell out, it was so far away, I saw #6 (the winner) cut way ahead early on, so I thought well maybe that's Big Brown. Then all of a sudden people are cussing and throwing stuff, I look up from the binoculaurs and he's way down there stopped.. He never did cross the finish line!!!!! The funny part about betting on the winner, me & dad both picked 2 underdogs to bet on, just for fun. There were 5 big pay underdogs I took 2, he took 2.. and the last one.. WON! DOH!! So no, I didn't make a lot of money, and overall the trip was a nightmare.. but I did like the break! And I like NYC.. even though mom's negativity jinxed our entire trip!

Up at 330 to catch a flight.. deja vu. Yes, the horse race is in NYC.. GO BIG BROWN!!!!! :wink2:

My parents have a Wii, its pretty fun but the sports hurt my arm.. like bowling and tennis, you are putting a full swing/throw into it, but you're just holding a little remote, so it hurts your muscle with no resistance. I leave for NYC in the morning!!!! GO BIG BROWN!!!! See you ladies Sunday night :wink2:)
