How long did you wait for a baby??

Condoms for those 4 months :smile2:) -
Would you get breast implant.....??
Daisalana replied to gg2007BandSTAR's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
If money flew out of my ass, I'd have several surgeries including removing my flabby boobs and putting fake ones in. -
The idea behind this is so funny. Anyone here eaten a tub of icing? I have.. lots.. ho hum.. the whole 'too sweet' thing doesn't work for me. If anything, it would make me want more more more. And if I put extra salt on my food, I don't get fuller quicker. Think I'd have to pass on the 'sprinkles' diet.

I just had some egg drop soup. Num num.

Prayers for your daughter Denise, I actually have a fear of that happening. I would go crazy having to be on bed rest, much less AT THE HOSPITAL!! Hope everything works out for the best.. maybe Dimitri will come on out and be just healthy at 31 weeks! Haydee I need your input!! I have a local customer, who barely speaks English (he is hispanic), and ya'll know how I did, I don't actually know Spanish to speak it, but I can understand it. Anyway, we talk slow to each other and get everything handled fine. Meanwhile his CSR is real southern. He came to pick up his product, and in her big southern drawl she goes "GRASHIUS!" (loud and all). I felt akward, like.. remember how I told you it was racist to assume those mexicans spoke spanish at the gas station?! I felt like that. Do they get offended when some retarded southern lady screams spanish at them?

Don't get me started on chubby choochas!!!! Looks like I got a ball sack. I had a discussion with Haydee, Michelle, and Kat about that one.

Tracy- I actually was going to say, your stomach now looks like what mine did 6 months ago. I use to go out, now it all lays flat--and hangs down. I think you need a little more deflating first, when it looks like rotten moldy bread, and you can contort it into puppets... then you're ready!! lol Edit to add, like Kat (USE TO) I can pull that stomach out MANY inches and that's part of my contorting. I can twist it up and pull up rabbit ears, etc.. ho hum. Too bad I didn't get drunk enough to show you all that Oh and Suzie, must be thinking of someone else, my insurance won't pay for TT even if I had a hole the size of my head rotting away in there. They MIGHT do my thighs, I won't know for a while when I actually look into it, but TT they said there's not a single thing I could tell them to get it covered.

Omg I Hate When Noobs Post Crap Like This!!! Didn't You Talk To Your Doctor For Crying In The Mud!!!

Depends on where you are of course, I am in Huntsville and I was banded by Dr. Freeman in Anniston, AL. I really like him, he has the best bedside manners (personality in general) of anyone I've ever met. He remembers me, and personal info about me, I never have to remind him who I am, and he's literally ALWAYS smiling and laughing. He's very jolly. He had RNY so he understands WLS and is very energetic. Anyway, if you are near there, I'd recommend calling him and seeing if they will do follow up on other doctor's patients. I still go to him despite the 6 hour drive total, cause he's worth it. Pre-op I checked out Dr. Fuccundus in Huntsville, and thought they ran their place like a money market.. in, out, doc has no time to actually meet you, that'll be $500 please.

Go get a fill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Raid the house and throw out the slider foods. ((HUGS)) and don't give up.
-
Doubt it unless you have a history of nausea from anesthesia. I've gone under 3x since banding and never changed my fill.
-
Maybe job is just really good... or she found a hottie on site

I don't necessarily go with depriving myself of anything (unless band won't tolerate it) to "diet", but if you want to reach 10lbs instead of 8lbs lost, if 8lb is your normal flow.. need to do things like, not eat any of the biscuit, and eat some veggies instead.. something like that.

Thought you may like the visual, give you all a self esteem boost!! This is all skin flabby flab. If you see the pants line above it, I tuck it all into my pants. Yum!

Oh yeah, it may be an urban legend, but my doc told me drink lots of water and avoid sugar during TOM which increase cramps (I have serious cramping issue). I drink more water, but I don't keep check on sugar.

Thanks Cate!! And that may help, I think everyone has ADD when I explain. I don't know why they ask if they don't want the answer, but they keep asking over and over, so my answers aren't sticking. After my attempt at explaining, they still don't understand why I wouldn't have it taken out.

My doc tried to be elusive with how much was in my band, but I later found out it was because their numbers weren't matching up on paper and they couldn't get in my port. He told me I don't need to obsess over the number. However, once they fixed my port and I get fills he tells me now.

Oh crap, forgot to tell ya'll my funny. My sister is covered in tattoos, and Sunday at our Father's day thing she wore a tank top, so I got to see lots.. several of them have words, and one of them.. I don't remember what it said, but it was like "When your sad blah blah". Your? You're!! I died laughing! Grammar error on her tattoo. She was like "I just wrote it down and he tattoo'd it".. but really, no one caught on?!

Well, that and the fact I already got this wilted flap of skin that looks like rotten bread or something down there.. Pregnancy certainly isn't going to help it, but it was a doomed idea to begin with!! Oh yesterday, the hutch moving ended up being a big production, took 2 hours and lots of sweating and manual labor. Long story, but I felt horrible for DH, making him do that and he almost keeled over several times (but never complained!!).. anyway I felt so bad, so I took the van back myself, and was trying to think of some nice gestures to do. I knew he'd be hungry, I was starving. I don't get excited about fast food anymore, man I use to pick out 20 things I wanted before getting there. But I told him I was picking him up something... I don't ever get excited about picking up food anymore, it turns into a chore of "Now what will go down...what will not taste like ass if I have to chew it 20 times..etc". Like I said, so hungry, and for a blip I forgot about the band and thought "A chili cheeseburger mmmmm". Then I went.. duh.. can't eat that. And I was having a revelation with my band about eating and food for thrill. Ended up getting a salad & a root beer float.. and PBing most of it, even the damn float.. TOM and nothing ever goes down during TOM. So much for chili cheeseburgers. What a different life I've got. If I didn't have the band, last night would have been a chili cheese burger, extra large fries, ocean water, some sort of appetizer thing.. and it ended up being a couple pieces of chicken & 5 sips of root beer float that came up nasty. Weee!!!

I'm super excited about getting Lab Band Surgery but....
Daisalana replied to cutiew/booty's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow, your stomach is your best feature?! Wanna trade? LOL The scars are really not bad, and some people I've seen in their after, a few years later you can barely see them.. they look like a freckle or something. I had revision surgery and they cut open an existing port scar, so it looks kinda ooky, but I don't care!!! I am 110lb lighter and that's a small sacrafice, right? I don't know if I ever worried about the scars.. maybe a little bit, but I was more concerned about not being fat! -
Ever feel its not worth it?
Daisalana replied to jeremiahsmommy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I ended up in the ER 4 days post-op thinking I had a blood clot.. I had actually just pulled a muscle because I didn't take my pain meds and was holding my body funny. And for what it's worth, I read how easy the surgery was, minimal pain, etc.. and my threshold is high for pain.. but I thought I was dying the first 2 days. It was extremely painful for me, like someone shredded my insides. Everyone experiences it differently! But it's all a distant memory now, and I'd do it 100x's over (if I could afford it!) if I had to. Take your pain meds, you're early out, don't get discouraged yet. It's common thought right now, you just did something major to your body and right now you're not reaping the benefits. But hold strong, within 6 months you'll likely be praising the band  -
I would link you if I could find it, but there's a thread somewhere about people who have been banded in Mexico. There are some awesome places to go!! I was self-pay, and I was going to go there. I ended up self-paying 2x the cost to have it done in the states just to appease my family.

Hah, ya'll posting lots of funnies today!! I wanna be a bikini one day. Random train of thought.. not gonna happen.. damn.

I'm 6'2" and I weigh 370 pounds.
Daisalana replied to 2big4U's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome! I'm not a guy, which should give you all the more encouragement because you all seem to lose quicker!! But I am 6'0 and started at 333lb. By my 1 year bandiversary I had lost 100lbs. Good luck on your journey & I am sure you'll find a lot of good information around here. -
Kind of a hard thing to judge, you may need to just try them. I was never a milk drinker before the band, now I crave it. But 2%, Skim, and Regular are all identical to me. All taste the same, so I have no issue. But I know when I keep skim in the house, DH (who always liked drinking milk) thinks it is disgusting.. and won't drink it. But, he likes 2%. So just try em out? Aubrie- I did not realize milk was that way, but I had read for foods in general being made, when they make it 'low-fat' it normally means higher calorie & vise versa. Like low-fat cream cheese is higher calorie. Depends on how retentive you are about labels, I don't read labels.. I only eat so much (not a lot!), so I eat what I like.. not diety. I get my milk cartons from the vending machine at work, they only carry Whole & 2%. I get 2% till it runs out, and I'll drink whole then.
