I am going to ask my doc to completely unfill me on Monday. I've been a little too tight for months, and now it's extremely too tight to the point of no eating.. I think my stomach would like a breather to be open for a little while. But, I remember when I was first banded (and the feeling), he put on the smallest band and he said even with no saline it was pretty fitted for me. So I should not be able to eat bread even with it completely open. I AM able to eat salad & meats though (going based off of when I was first banded). I am actually really looking forward to that. Lucky me, I have not been craving any sweets lately. I even had oppertunities and I passed on em?! But I would really like a nice chef salad that goes down with no sliming. 1st Ultrasound (and appt.) is Sept. 11!

Mine is going up ridiculously.. leaps & bounds. We don't have gas, everything is electric. I use the energy saver lightbulbs, but we have massive computers... And my husband runs the a/c 24/7.. This month it was up at least +$70 from the last. I couldn't figure out what changed, since nothing in our house has changed.

You did WHAT?! :smile2: Think of all the hungry pie-holes in this thread alone.

Kat that office e-mail cracked me up, I sent it to everyone at work.. one girl wrote back-- "I love the new office furniture, I am so excited to be getting a refrigerator!! I am sending this to my parents so they can see my new job!" LOL.

Daisalana replied to Teachlady's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Secretly this was just a ploy to keep me from having to fly :smile2: Can't wait to have you guys down here, and that count down doubles for my due date mwhaha! -
End of June should be good for me, all the newness should be settled down by then! Am I staying there too? With a crying baby?! May be more logical for me to drive back & forth. And as for renting cars, if any of you fly into Huntsville, we have 2 cars.. one is a 4 seater (me & baby?), and the other is a 2 person (could be 4 but very cramped.. my sports car).. and if someone wants to drive it, you're welcome to use it.

Woohoo! But don't worry about it, they made it sound pretty painful!
My port flipped around, I ended up having revision surgery to move it.. but the first 6 months, he poked and poked and poked, and poked and poked, etc. Up to 20 times some visits, and it still never went in. He didn't do numbing stuff either, and it wasn't bad at all. The only part that hurt was about 15 minutes afterward it bruised and was tender.. but the actual poking was nothing.

Rhuematoid Arthritis of the boob?? I didn't know that was possible.. Is that not as serious as other places? I thought it has to do with bone.. now I'm very confused. I know my great-granny died of diabetes and her (short) life was pretty stagnant from RA.. she couldn't move her arms or legs, and her back was really bbad.

Doh! I figured it would go that way.. oh well, fingers crossed.. Love it either way! I just picked up the vitamins--which are heart shaped and look/smell just like my dog's treats.. and she called me in 2 anti-nausea things.. I went ahead and picked them up, but I definitely don't need em right now. One of them though, it's a tablet that dissolves on your tongue.. Zofran.. my copay is $15.. but if I didn't have insurance- ONE MONTH is $925!! Holy cow?!

In case I didn't have enough on my plate, I offered to be the Secretary/Treasurer of our winter league that starts tonight. hah hah, I'm crazy.. I did treasurer about 5 years ago in Atlanta of a TINY league, like 8 teams.. and it was a headache.. This is 2 positions, of a major league, 40 teams. Good news is, I get paid.

Not at all, that's why I posted it here! I'm not even announcing it in the banded & pregnant area till at least another month. We told my parents (my mom squealed and cried a little).. they BOTH said "No more tunica!" & my granny (who keeps sayin she wants me to have one before she dies!) and she said "I think I can stick around 9 more months" lol.. haven't told his parents, I figured he can decide when to tell them.

Not goin to doc today, but I get my unfill on Monday! And I'm taking all my normal vitamins like a good girl. I ate a piece of roasted squash for lunch.

Aww thanks Tracy! Whoever sent the texts, thanks! I lost all the V's numbers when I got the new phone, and haven't put them in yet. That's why when you called Haydee I was hesitant, I couldn't figure out who it was.. when you asked what I was doing I recognized your voice though!

Hah Hah, yesterday I decided it would be May! But then mom tells me it's 40 weeks, all this time I thought it was 36 weeks, and between mom and websites and the doctor, I have no idea how to calculate it anymore. I think it's a Jamaica baby- Aug 2-6 conception. So if that's right, I wouldn't count 40 weeks from Mid July would I?

Thanks Shalee! Movies do that too, but I thought I would just be ecstatic and bouncing off the walls and farting rainbows! But I'm really the opposite, like Oh no what did I do, I can't change my mind now, etc. The gyno called, they are calling me in an Rx for prenatal vitamins, the nurse had a funny accent and was telling me what's in it and she said "And it make you baby smart!".. made me laugh.. then I asked if they had chewable, she said "No.. and it very big!" so I reminded her of the band, and she said she's calling in patient's choice on chewable selection at my pharmacy.. not sure what that means but I'll find out. They don't see you till 7 weeks out, and they calculate off of the first day of my last period (July 17), so I go first week of September for an ultrasound.. based off my own calculations I think I'm 2 weeks out, I'm very confused with numbers. Mom said based on my calculations I wouldn't be able to pick it up on a test yet, but I thought it could. I dunno, guess they can tell me how old it is when I go in?? They also said they will call me in anti-nausea meds for when morning sickness hits.. My family has a history of no morning sickness, so I'm hoping I don't either. Oh and even though she's my normal gyno, they won't let me even schedule an appointment with her until they clear it with my insurance. My insurance pays it, so I don't know why they couldn't just look.. waiting for them to call me back so I can give them the info, then they call me back and let me know, THEN I schedule it.

Oddly enough, I'm not feeling what I think I "should" be feeling. I'm scared and depressed, and blah blah.. I'm sitting at work crying!

They come in packs of 2, so took the other one just to make sure I didn't hallucinate.. teehee.

Actually, looking at Terri's post, this place (Never seen this one before, but it's gorgeous, looks like you're actually ON the lake) says it is 35 miles from Huntsville, and the road down there is all interstate, 70mph.. so shouldn't be that far.
-
It's not me, lots of people like to follow our posts, I don't look at other months' groups, but I assume we probably talk A LOT compared to others lol. Our own reality show!! I'm so flattered you guys would want to come all the way out here! I would think Birmingham airport is closer, but not sure. Huntsville airport is wonderful though, it's small and only has 1 terminal with like 10 gates.. so flying out at least is a breeze. Depending on where on the lake you're going, it's about 1.5 hours away.

Ohh I musta missed a link, Lake Guntersville is nice!! I use to go to summer camp there when I was growing up. My mom asked me if its a boy or girl in the first few sentences after I showed her the test. I want a girl, but I'm afraid it'll jinx it if I say that. Been trying to read what to eat/what not to eat.. says peanut butter is good, so I tried to eat some, I am just way too tight, one bite plugged me up. Going to call my band doc back tomorrow and tell him I need to be unfilled quicker. I had called a local band doc earlier today (before finding out), to see if he'd unfill me-- he was the one who met me in the ER. Got voicemail for nuses & reception even though they were open, and no one called me back. I remember why I love my doc's office.. and I have a feeling if I tell em I am pregnant and can't eat they'll get me in. Just in case, I did dig up slim fasts from the cabinet and put them in the fridge! I don't have any good pregnancy vitamins either, so hopefully my gyno can recommend some chewable ones. I still getting terrified when I think about it, so been trying not to hah hah.

Haha Suzie, I don't live in Tunica!! It's like 4 hours from here, we just like to go there (no more now!). I live in Alabama, connected to Huntsville... we have the space and rocket center, and.... cows. Lotsa cows.. and fields. And bars with rednecks.
