  1. Hi, haven't heard anyone talk about circle of care previously but the OClinic is always popping into the chat at times.
  2. Lila - hope you are ok and you are improving
  3. Nessa, that is FANTASTIC that you are nearing double digits, so awesome You will have to upload some new pics of yourself. I am 15kgs away from double digits and this will also feel the best as gosh been at least 20 yrs since I've been there:) Aussiegirl - congrats on your awesome results at your 12 month anniversary - you and your family must be so proud of your achievements, and to reward yourself with a trip to the USA is to cool - so so happy for you !! Loving hearing all your achievements guys, have a great day Shell xx
  4. Totally agree with Nessa. You will know when you have had enough. I am always eating too fast and by the time my head catches up, I always feel uncomfortable and say, if only I didn't have the last couple of bites. I have to slow down.
  5. Hi Bella, you will be fine and just stay positive. Like you have read here, many of us are so happy with the results and had had no complications, except for poor Lila - but that is with any op there are the risks. My experience was no problems, pain, nausea so it was a very stress free procedure for me and have not had one bad day since, only wishing I had come across the sleeve earlier, not waited until being 39 years of age to have helped me change my life. I know there has been a few through Dr Taylor as his name is very familiar. Anyway, you'll be fine and you can rely on this great support system as we all have Off to the beach now with the family and lunch down at the Coast somewhere.
  6. I love seeing my BMI decreasing - at time of op was 44, now 9 weeks out I am at 37 Can't wait till normal weight range from morbidly obese. Wish I did this years ago

  8. Hi guys, sorry just catching up on all the posts. One hell of a hectic week with new promotion and teenage son troubles. Haven't had time to do anything else and even had to remind myself to eat. Went shopping with daughters today and first time in years where I wore a sleeveless top, always have worn a jacket over it as I always had to have sleeves, so that was a great feeling. Dragged my daughters into City Chic and they even remarked I don't need to shop there anymore, so sweet . They said they won't be coming again cause all I do is want to look at clothes now, so funny as this is the last thing I ever would have done. Also went looking for push bikes for the family for our outings . SO LOVE MY SLEEVE Anyway, welcome to the newbies, great you have joined us on this thread, apologies for not saying hi earlier. Kelli, hope you have a great night at the birthday. I'm sitting out the back with husband whilst he's cooking me my salmon for dinner. Had a few mouthfuls of a vodka cruiser tonight but way to strong for me, how's that - had to give my drinks to hubby as looks like the cruisers are no longer for me!!! Well everyone, hope you have a great weekend
  9. So sorry Lila. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I just hope they sort it all out soon and you can heal and recover and finally move on with your life. This is dreadful,17 days without food or a drink I'm glad to hear the leak is healing so stay as positive as you can be and get better soon ok xxx
  10. Scotty 21.5% tax is withheld from your released funds then at end of financial year you will include this amount in your tax return. Your super company will send you the necessary taxation advice. Your super will only release your nett amount after tax.
  11. Yes the gap for the reconstructive here is approx $10,000 plus $140p/f health fund premiums but I could get a 2 week holiday and change from the $10000 and it is very good work now by a reputable doctor. I have been looking at it for a while but still will look into consult here next year and check my options. All my surgeries over the years have been trouble free so this is something I will seriously consider to pick the boobs back up and lower body lift Everyone says to me about scars would make them not do it but I look at it like this, I have a huge scar from my gall bladder surgery but seem this beautiful picture of a lady with scaring around her stomach with a beautiful fine tattoo with little flowers and little butterflies camouflaging the scarring and it looked beautiful. I think I will go for something like this also incorporating a samoan design for my samoan hubby into the tattoo as I do have terrible skin for scarring but I have seen some pics with excess skin and I personally don't want to be stuck with it and choose to remove it when it is safe to do so.
  12. Omg you guys had me laughing that's for sure!! I had 60 to lose and have 35 to go so nearly half way there. I have upped my health insurance to cover reconstructive surgery but now after doing some research in the plastic surgery and success in Thailand may look there as an alternative, who knows!! But I do not want to have to cover myself up at the end of it with excess skin which I know will be on my stomach after 4 kids so will definitely do something about it. I am on a multi Vitamin each day but should also look at something for hair and nails to help reduce the loss etc. It is do great seeing all the new additions and being on this journey together. It is so great having everyone here for support. Talk to you all soon
  13. Kayargh, I remember taking my steri strips off and one incision was very tender and I was scared to roll over in bed thinking it was going to pop open. I also remember how itchy my 5 little incisions got. How are you feeling anyway, hope you are getting better as each day passes. Time flies when life gets better, I just love my weekends now and funnily bugging my hubby to go and do something active as previously was always tired and didn't want to go out of the house.
  14. Hi Emma, wow 2 new Aussies in one night - great stuff . Congrats on your op soon, wish you all the best and looking forward to being with you on your journey. You are on a great thread here and you will find lots of useful information, but if there is anything you need to know and you can't find it in our previous discussions just ask and you will get lots of support. There is definitely a great bunch of people here and I would be lost without this site
  15. Hope your going well Lila. Still think about you daily and pray you are getting stronger each day
