I too applaud you for recognizing the difference between real hunger and emotional eating. I'm sorry you are going through a difficult time right now, but sounds like you're handling it like a champ. Don't forget, we are always here for you, when life gets tough.

My Dr told me that it is almost impossible to hurt your port, after having mine flip at 3mths post op.lol Freak thing! He said that the scar tissue helps hold it down and I would think at 14mths you have some serious scar tissue. Maybe just pulled that. I'm not a Dr, so if it doesn't clear up in a few days, better go have it checked out. Sorry about someone being mean to your mom. Who does that kinda thing? Good luck!

Hi Ladies, I have missed you all so much, along with my home, hub and kids.. As far as mom goes, late last night she was doing "really well", quoting my sister. Haven't called mom yet to get her take. She has had every test to mankind and they can't find anything really wrong. She was really dehydrated and we know how that can affect you. Dawn, sorry to hear you are having reflux. I hope your Dr figures out what the deal is and can fix it. Poor Erika, Glad she didn't break anything. My sister did that same thing when she was a teen. They too thought it was an anemic problem and she did grow out of it. When this happens, is it around her period? Poor Benny, he needs The Dog Whisperer. My cats need The Cat From Hell guy.lol They are all a freaked out mess. Carole, Sounds like you are doing fantastic. Very busy, but sounds like you're handling things "one step at a time". Good afternoon ladies, Maddy did well with endo. But they did wait until she was away from Paula and Jack and poked her at least 7 times for an IV. She is so bruised... Paula said "that will not happen again". All IV's will be done in her presence. Dawn, she had to have endo b/c she is tube fed and they wanted to see why her tube seems to be leaking a lot. They think that the balloon that holds it in was being overfilled. The more Paula filled it, the worse the link got. I took Delaney and Jack to the beach and then we had a picnic lunch. They had ham & cheese sandwich from Subway. I got an egg white and ham wrap. OMG, I am still suffering from a stuck on just one bite. Freaked the poor kids out. I explained what was going on and they felt bad they could not help me in any way. Mom is at home, for now. She needs to get her strength back and have GB removed. I will be going to Gainesville next week. I hope you all have had a good friday. TTYL

Must be something in the air Dawn. I sat and cried for my mom today. Not that she has anything really serious, just that she has 5 children and she will have to spend her remaining years in a nursing home. I was remembering all of us kids and mom taking us to the beach and playing outside with us. When I was sick, she would sleep on a hide a bed with me. She also made decisions that led to her current situation. Like running away and joining the circus.ha But to me, it is just sad. I'm ok now. I did notice the pictures that were missing.lol

My port flipped at 3mths out, I continued to lose. No fill at orginal LBS. 6wks post op 2cc, 4 wks later port is flipped no fill. Revision surgery and another 6wks until a fill. 4wks after that another fill and finally restriction. During this whole process, I continued to lose weight by sticking to my surgeons instructions. It was another diet for a long while, but the band does work. Sorry you are having problems. Its time to log what your eating and being sure to get in your protein first. Tell your hunger to shut the hell up, mind over matter.IMHO

Mom had an ultrasound of gallbladder and it is functioning. Now waiting (tmi) for a stool spec for possible colitis.

Dawn, I hope your world has brightened some today. I'm thrilled you have a Drs appt for your band. Can't remember when it is, but I hope its not on your birthday. I wish I was there to Celebrate my c girls birthday. Just know, I will be there in spirit, singing HB at the top of my lungs. Its probably a good thing, it will be I spirit. PS. sometimes I enjoy embarrassing my children. Loved all the pictures you posted on FB. Its funny, but I felt like I knew who some of them were. Definitely knew your sis. You're one day closer!
