Yes, what Patty said, call now, or go now!!! -
I'd say def either demand at heart to heart with Dr or find a new Dr. 7mths no fill and gaining weight, really? I'm 6wks out have lost 36lbs and my Dr said" its all you, band isn't restricting yet". I got a 3cc fill and appt in 6wks for another. I would be totally po'd if I was you too! Don't give up on the band, give up on your Dr. I wish you the best!

No Restriction 2 Weeks Post Op
Maddysgram replied to kma87's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Welcome to "Bandster Hell"! That time between surgery and having enough fill to reach the green zone. The time you have to fight with everything you have to stick to LB eating rules. Do you really want to lose weight? Then you can do this! I know I do and I will! Best wishes! -
Why Am I So Tired?
Maddysgram replied to heidijane's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You just had major surgery. It takes 6wks to heal completely. I remember feeling so great, going out running errands and then feel like hitting a brick wall, totally exhausted.Nap time! LOL Try not to compare yourself to anyone else. We are all individuals and will experience things at our own pace, be it healing or weight loss. I'm older so I know younger ppl will heal faster. Congratulations & Best Wishes! -

Great NSV Time! I won't have to buy clothes for awhile. I have all sizes in my own closet.lol I did go to Lane Bryant's the other day to get one new bra, yes lose in the boobs first, I always get my bras there. Surprise, surprise my fave bra no longer comes in sizes under 40. I had to walk out from LB b/c couldn't find one small enough. I walked out smiling! Keep up the great job you're doing GF! So proud of you! -
I hate that little guy that says "you're Obese".LOL It's like, no joke Sherlock!

Banded Yesterday
Maddysgram replied to BandedBettyBoop's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You may not eat or drink anything after midnight on the night prior to surgery ... Ans: The procedure takes an average of one hour to perform but may vary ... On the second day, you will be consuming approximately 30 mls of Water every hour. 30mls= 1oz if anyone is interested -
Pressured To Get Gastric Bypass Instead Of Lapband (Dr. Monash)
Maddysgram replied to Autumn2013's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
I've heard this same story before here. Your referring Dr is right , they make more off the bypass, plus not all the follow up with fills and things. You would take weight off faster with bypass but all WLS's are just tools. My sis had bypass lost the weight and then gained it back. I 'd look for another Dr if that surgeon doesn't believe in what he's doing. My bariatric surgeon believes it works. -
Banded Yesterday

You're really not expected to get 64 oz the first 48 hrs. You're very swollen. 1oz every 15 mins. -

Congratulations! -
You should be eating 3 meals a day. 3oz of solid Protein 1/4 veggies1/4 good carbs. Previous poster is right, everything you're eating besides chicken & beef is slider food. Dr & Nut said salad is a slider and not to eat it until you are in the green zone. I would be starving too if I ate your menu! If I get hungry between meals I'll have a cup of herbal tea or SF hot chocolate. Takes the edge off.

Day 4 Help Needed ! I Hope It Is A Little Bump In The Road
Maddysgram replied to duncanrum's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too, had to take Imodium chewable and it worked almost instantly. Like CG said, sip a lot of water to keep from dehydrating. Sounds like you have your hub figured out and of course after surgery your nerves will be on edge. Try to ignore his comments, or calmly explain that comments like that are not really helping you and how you know he's worried. This too will all pass! Hang on! -

I'm in Florida too. By January I'll be dressed like an Eskimo, unless we have an unusual warm winter, but I don't think so. The thrift stores are your best bet! Let us know where you're going? -
Wwyd? Eat Shortly After Waking Or Wait Until Mid Morning (Hungry)?
Maddysgram replied to indacrucible's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've never been able to eat breakfast until 10am band or no band. Today I did eat some greek yogurt before I was hungry, b/c nut says how important it is. We'll see , very full now!
