Sorry about that. A few years ago my insurance (Aetna) would not pay for WLS. Does your company just not cover it at all, or you don't qualify?

You're absolutely right! We had a forum member a few months ago was cut open and then denied a LB. The liver is like handling Jello when its all fatty.

I too had 3out of 5 incisions that the sutures had to be pulled out b/c of not dissolving. Did take a little longer for those incisions to heal. -

You don't have to tell anyone about having surgery unless you want to. Just say, I'm trying really hard to eat healthy and exercise, which is the truth. As far as dating, same thing unless it gets really serious. Best wishes!

Too tight & needs a unfill. You could save a lot of money and just have the band totally unfilled. You are right, this is your decision, but I wouldn't suffer until surgery. To newbies The LB is not a miracle cure for obesity, it is a tool to help you, but you have to work with band, Dr & bariatric staff.

Missy's advice was spot on! Get back to your bariatric staff. The band or us can not stop you from eatin candy &cookies, only you can stop that. It's not about willpower, its about Wantpower. Do you want it? Then get to your Dr and get started saying "no more". You can do this, it's not easy, but it is doable! Best Wishes to you!

Congratulations! Stick around here for support, knowledge & inspiration. Someone on the forum said to write a letter to yourself on why LBS is important to you and what you expect from it. Then when times get tough, which it will, you can go back and remind yourself why you wanted this. Thought that was a good idea. You have to have WANT POWER! Best Wishes!
