IM LIKE SO SICK N TIRED OF THIS PERSON
Maddysgram replied to MsRhonda's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You're not doing anything wrong Candy. The first 6wks are for healing, not losing. Just stick with your Drs plan and the weight will start to come off after your body adjust. Biggest mistake is to compare yourself to someone else. We're all built different. You're doing great! -
I feel the same way about home owners insurance. Paying premiums for 40yrs with never a claim and paying 3 times what I use too. Rrrrrrrr Sorry you're aggravated, but not much we can do about it. I'm just please my insurance started paying for WLS. They didn't a few years ago. Had a lot of hoops too, but right now I'm really happy it all worked out. I had 6mths diet, nut classes, psych eval. Still had to pay my 20%,but now I losing it's all worth it and more. In about 6mths going to hit them up for double knee replacement too. Insurance premiums bite, but thank goodness its there when we need it.

Welcome to "Bandsters Hell", sorry for you, but I enjoy company. We have to stick to our Want power right now. Not I want fried chicken lol, but I want good health. I want to feel good in my skin, I want to do whatever it takes to get my life back. What is it you really really want? You can do this, hang on! -
WTG! Congratulations!

I agree with Missy & Dawn. Just wanted to welcome you back. You can do this!

((((((((Hugs))))))) Hang in there, things will get better! -
I agree with all the above posters. You're sticking to plan so don't be hard on yourself. My husband got weighed the other day before his shower, took shower weighed and gained 4 lbs. It doesn't make sense. Make sure your drinking your 64 oz of Water, its important. Watch sodium, eat your Protein. (((Hugs)))

You've got to say, I think that if I keep working at this & want it badly enough I can have it. It's called perserverance. Lee Iacocca

OMG EXCITED AND NERVOUS!
Maddysgram replied to nessa2012's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nerves & excitement are all part of it. Keep your eyes on the prize and take relaxing breaths. -
My surgery was at 1:30pm so my Dr made me stay overnight. I would have rather come home being hospital too noisy for rest. Can you find someone to come stay with you? If not you should be find. They wouldn't let you leave if it posed any problems.

Finally my first fill tomorrow the 20th
Maddysgram replied to oladad's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Naw, it isn't about money. You have to approach green zone slowly. They don't want to blow right past it and start doing a lot of unfills. If they over fill you it could cause you to vomit and that's not good. My Dr said on average it takes between 4-7.5 cc sometimes more sometimes less. I had 3cc first fill scheduled another fill 6wks later. -

The stick is just like getting blood drawn. My Dr had me lay down on table and left my legs off table a couple inches to tighten abdominal muscles. He felt around a little injected me, had me sit up a drink a cup of Water. The whole thing took minutes. It's really no big deal. Your Dr is going to be so proud of you. You make sure he acknowledges that YOU lost the weight, not band. Good luck! -
Aww hun we've all been where you're at. You're not alone. I'll be hoping and praying your credit comes through. WLS was my last hope, lucky for me my ins started paying for it. Stick around here and learn all you can about WLS so when the time comes you'll be ready. ((((((Hugs))))))
