    need major help

Sorry your having a hard time, but the good new is you still have your band and it can still work with you. First thing I would do is make appt. with Dr and see if you need a fill, then talk with a nutritionist so they can help you with your lifestyle. But for right know, I would go back to the beginning, when you were first banded and follow the LB rules you used then. Get your 64 oz of fluids in, eat protein first at every meal, log your food. I use MyFitnessPal on my phone and computer. I try to stay between 1000-1200 calories, but a Nut. would work that out for you. Packing meals, of course your fluids for the day, tuna now comes in little snack size packs, or pre make tuna or chicken salad and get an insulated bag or cooler to travel with, String cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt a good between meal snack. There's a lot of things you can do. It's all about planning ahead. Good luck and welcome back to the banded side! You can do this!

    1000-1200 Calorie Diet

It's things with no nutritional value but high in calories. Things like alcohol, Cookies, pies, cakes, chips and crap like that. When I think of all the soda's that are sold each day and all that money spent on them and the calories and absolutely no nutritional value at all, none.
  3. Looking for good thoughts & prayers for 2nd attempt to fill under fluroscopy, really don't want a revision. Thanks!

  4. BTW not in green zone. 3cc in band and possible port revision in future.
  5. I'm suppose to hit 60gr per day and between 1000-1200cal I got a cheap scale at Bed Bath &Beyond for $12, works fine. The size of a deck of cards is what I go by when I'm out.
  6. Hopefully fill with fluro Monday

    Before you go to sleep

I think by "repeat" means kept burping the taste of it up. I don't know where that phrase comes from, but I've heard it all my life.lol That's what Omega 3 Fish Oil tablets do to me, it's gross

    Soreness after fill

This just happened to me Thursday at my 2nd fill, 10 punctures and much pushing and prying, plus Dr has me lay on table and hold feet up about 6 inches off table. All I got was sore abs and port site, no fill and an appt Monday for Fluro and I hope and pray no revision surgery. My port was also stitched down so we don't know what happened. Hoping for the best Monday!

    i feel bad

I agree! Own it, count it and move on. And do not skip eating tomorrow. Eat your 3 meals and count your calories and Protein grams.

    Vomiting Anxiety

When I was in the hospital nurse told me to sniff rubbing alcohol and put an ice cold cloth on my chest and that helped.

    Still Here!

I was wondering where you had been. Glad it was b/c of celebrating and not something tragic. Welcome back, we missed you. Happy Belated 50th Birthday too! Did you know 50 is the new 40? Menopause sucks, I went through 5yrs of it and then it was gone for a year and just recently the hot flashes started again. I have no doubt that you will get back into your clothes. When I was just hanging here waiting to be banded, you gave excellent advice and I thank you for that. Been banded 3mths now and yes, believing the band will always be working.lol

    Feeling noseous

When I know I'm going to be out all day, I make sure I have all the water I need or a place to get water while I'm out. If you are nauseous from dehydration, you could end up in the ER. Not trying to scare you, but it is that important.

2 days post op - kinda freaking out

You have a lot of swelling right now and that is probably what you're feeling. If NP said it was ok, that must be the reason. This will not last too long. Hang in there!

Looking for mentor / buddies near Tampa FL

At Sarasota Memorial they check you in , put you in your own room where you put on gown and climb in bed, nurse comes in and ask a lot of questions and hooks you up to IV. Before you go back for surgery Surgeon & anesthigiologist(?) comes in and talks with you and then I was given something to relax me. Roll you back to surgery suite and lots of ppl are getting you hooked up to EKG, B/P cuff and all that good stuff. Anesthigiologist will say nite, nite and next thing you know they're saying wake up in recovery. You will have some pain , but they were real good about keeping it under control. I had to stay the night b/c my surgery was late in the afternoon , so after recovery went to my room. Best thing you can do for yourself is get up and walk as much and as often as you can. Good luck!

    Before you go to sleep

Dr told me before surgery, do not lay down for at least one hour after eating. I usually don't eat after my dinner around 6pm and never have that problem. Good luck!

    Yogurt!

The only yogurt I will eat. It's like getting the best treat imaginable.

    numbers

I've never shared my numbers with anyone but here also. I do tell my girls about loosing lbs and I plan to tell them how much I weighed when I get to goal. But until then, it's between me , my Dr and the hundreds of folks here.lol

    Monroe!!

Welcome to the forum! I too had to do the 6mth supervised diet and like Blondie said, my bariatric team told me every step I needed to take and got me approved. If I may make a suggestion, spend the next 6mths learning everything you can about the band. What it does and doesn't do. You can get a lot of useful information from this site. You'll also get a lot of support and inspiration too. Stick around and post often and good luck on your journey!

    relaxed

You go girl! MsRhonda, when were you banded?
  25. Congratulations on the WL! Sorry you spent a lot of time being sick. I have not had that problem since being banded. Matter of fact, I did have the bloated gas feeling right after surgery, but not the shoulder pain everyone talks about. If you don't mind my asking, why were you getting so sick for so long? I'm almost 3mths out and have had none of that. I hope it is behind you now. So far, I'm happy with my band.
