Maddysgram replied to Creekwood's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I really should go and get something to eat now, before I eat my Tablet. Between pancakes and an italian sandwich I'm a little hungry. lol -
Endocronologist evaluation?
Maddysgram replied to ireallywannabthin's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry, can't help you there. Ins Co. didn't require one. -
You need to eat your meals, no skipping!!!!! Plan your meals the night before and pack a thermal lunch box. String cheese, tuna, lunch meat, cottage cheese, chicken salad. You just put a freezer pack in with it and it will stay good. Believe me, I have to put up my hubs Breakfast & lunch everyday

Maddysgram replied to Creekwood's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It's not a food, but it's the only thing I wish I could have every once in awhile, Bacardi & Diet Coke. -
The way I look at it is, things could always be worse. As you always say CG, " it is what it is". Smile sunshine, I luv ya!

"When are you going to have babies of your own?"
Maddysgram commented on Jim1967's blog entry in Jim1967's Blog
Jim, My heart breaks for both you & your wife, along with my daughter & son in law. When you descibed getting the news of no success, I understand completely b/c I watch my beautiful daughter & sil go through that same pain. In this case, it is my daughter who is having the problems. She can produce eggs, but they won't stick. They just started their second round of IVF . I'm sure they're terrified and I'm scared b/c I really don't want them to feel that pain again. When they were first married they did get pregnant once on there own and at 6mths their little girls nursery was all finished, but 2 days before Thanksgiving she was delivered dead. So I hope and pray 3 is the magic number. I have a hard time understanding why couples that have everything to give a child can't conceive, while unwed mothers with no support can have baby after baby. I don't get it! My daughters boss after having an argument with her son, came out and told my daughter she should rethink about trying to have a baby. It takes all kinds! All I can say is I am so sorry and I hope and pray God will be good to you and your honey. (((((((((hugs)))))))) -

You can't add their picture. They have to update their profile. So you can ask your Dr if they will or not. My Drs info is very old and his picture is not there and I keep forgetting to ask him if he'll update it.

C'mon, brag a little! :)
Maddysgram replied to DELETE THIS ACCOUNT!'s topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Well I'm not a success story yet, but I wanted to share my journey so far. Before I was banded I had no life. Everything in my life was met with pain and hopelessness. I couldn't walk, couldn't play with my grandkids and could barely manage personal hygiene. The LB was my last shred of hope. Today 3mths out I am so happy with my band and I don't even have restriction yet. Thanks to everyone that has been giving advice and answering questions here on LBT for the last 10mths, I will be a success story. In 3 short months my life has changed so much. No longer in agony, more energy and for the first time in along time I feel like I have a wonderful future before me. I've lost 65 lbs and I'm half way to my goal. I am facing a small bump in the road, but nothing that would stop me from getting the band again if I had the choice. So a big Thank You to everyone here on LBT for your support, inspiration and most of all your wisdom. Without you I don't think I would have success in my future. You are my LB family! -
So far I have not had a stuck issue yet, knocking on wood. I just wanted to welcome you to the forum. Glad to have you and hope you stick around and share your journey with us. Best Wishes on your journey!

Question about pre-op diet
Maddysgram replied to Tampagirl's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I was one of the lucky one's and did not have a pre op diet, b/c I had already lost weight before banding. My Dr will order a 2wk liquid diet if need be. So it is a patient by patient choice. If you look at my ticker, that weight loss was all me, not the band. I have not received enough fills for restriction yet. So at the beginning it is "just another diet", but this time with a tool to help reaching goal and staying there. -
First Post Not yet banded
Maddysgram replied to Creekwood's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Nice to have you here. I think most of us can say the same as you, we've all lost weight many times and either gained it back or quit before reaching goal. That is the reason I chose LBS, can't do yoyo dieting no more. You are very wise to take your time and learn all there is to know about the LB. You can learn something from both the one's doing it right and even from the mistakes others make. I hung around here for 8mths before being banded and learned more here then at all the meetings I had to have to qualify. By the sound of it, you will do very well. Wishing you all the best on your journey! -

QT pretty much covered it.

FEELING SICK TO MY STOMACH, NAUSEA AND ABDOMINAL PAIN?
Maddysgram replied to nessa2012's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There is a stomach virus going around, or maybe you ate something that didn't agree with you. When it's air in your stomach it's always best to keep walking just like post op, make it move. -
OMG I'm Sick Before Surgery!
