What does restriction feel like for you?
Maddysgram replied to Harrier's Woman's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
This was a great question b/c I asked myself this everyday.lol I know its to stay satisfied for 4-5 hr between meals, but in my case sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't . Someday's I wake up tight and can't eat until 11am and other days I wake up hungry and stay hungery all day. I always make sure I get my 60gr of protein in before anything else. I just plan on telling Dr this same story and go by what he thinks, thats what I pay him for.lol -
Finally surgery tomorrow!!!
Maddysgram replied to Catherine28's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Best of luck on your journey! Stick around and be inspired by many, learn from the best and receive the support you need for success. -
On average I get 1000 cal. Everyone has a different calorie goal according to their BMI. Be sure you ask Nut when you talk with them . Good luck!

Still Tired and Weak 5 days post op
Maddysgram replied to Brandy Hunter-Lee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was doing pretty good after 1wk and decided to run some errands and then it hit me. It was the beginning of second week and it only lasted 3-4 days, naps were in order. I've read quite a few threads about ppl feeling the same way, so I would say it's normal. Be sure you are keeping yourself hydrated and if this doesn't pass in a few days, call your Dr. -
how much could you do after?
Maddysgram replied to ErinSue2000's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

We're all friends here and it doesn't matter how old you are, where you live or what you do for a living. Welcome to the LB family! Post any questions. Read other post. We have a saying here,"the only stupid questions are the ones not asked". Good luck on your journey!

I am new to this forum and to forums all together! LBS scheduled for Feb
Maddysgram replied to koolkel's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Welcome to the forum! These ppl telling you this stuff, are they banded? If not they know nothing. I do suggest you stick around here as much as you can to learn everything there is to know about the band. Everyone's pre-op and post-op diets are different, so its hard to compare anything there. Talk to your Dr and find out what they expect. The number one rule here is "follow YOUR Drs orders". Good luck on your journey! post often -

How many Calories? Protein? Carbs?
Maddysgram replied to yaya77nc's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
We all get different plans from our Dr. Mine personally is 1000cal & 60 gr of protein. What's your plan? -
My Dr says 24 hrs, but I do what I feel comfortable with, like 48hrs and mushies a couple days. Just start out slow and soft and work yourself into it.

I was lucky, one week to the day.

Congratulations, looking good! -
Congratulations on banding and good luck at your appt.
-
Not necessary. My Dr said I could take off bandages right away, but let steri strips come off on there own.
-
I was thinking the same thing this mornig, but not b/c of bears.lol If you have fat on your body and you refuse to feed it, it has to come off. I have lived like a grizzly, sort of, as far as losing 100 lbs and gaining it back. When I was gaining it back, I hibernated, naps & no activity. So we are similar! LOL

Congratulations! That is fansatic!

Msrhonda, you are doing excellent. This isn't gastric bypass where the weight comes off quickly. I'd say 40lbs post op from Dec is damn good. I'm curious how long you stay satisfied after eating a meal? BTW Chicago ladies, I was born in Oak Park back in the 50's and lived in Downers Grove until I was 10 and my parents got wise and moved us to Florida, 80s this week.

Maddysgram replied to MsRhonda's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

What did "outsiders" tell you before Lap Band surgery?
Maddysgram replied to lapbandkeira's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Outsiders didn't tell me anything ,b/c I didn't share with anyone who I thought wouldn't support me. Worked out nice! roflmao " you'll shoot your eye out kid"
