Ah, I love drugged txting!lol Your story sounds like mine. My port flipped at my 2nd filling and I'm a little over 2wks from revision surgery. My Dr made the incision right over my old port incision and it wasn't bad at all. My port is right under my left lower rib and the swelling is aggravating, but no longer painful. The first couple days it was sore, but pain meds worked really good,lol. Hardest part is trying not to do something stupid and mess it up again. I think Dr probably has sewn it down with extra stitches. He said, I was only his 2nd patient that this had happen to, out of 100's. Just keep up with your meds and take care!

I really try hard to welcome all the newbies here, only b/c when I was a newbie the veterans were all so kind to me and taught me everything I needed to know and forgot to ask. I get off on trying to help others, makes me feel good. I want everyone to succeed and have the life we were meant to live.

And I really didn't see anywhere Alex said there was going to be a "Dislike" button. Shaking my head b/c I just don't get it.....

I'd follow Cheryl's advice and follow your banded diet and start saving for a fill, no way would I let an unqualified RN give me a fill. They might be a nurse, but how many fills have they been trained to do? Nope, sorry not worth the risk

You're in my thoughts and prayers! Everyone that goes through this experiences the same anxiety, so you are not alone. Just think 1wk from now, you will be banded and feeling pretty good. You will be a success if you follow your Drs orders. If you really want this to work, you will make it work. You are worth it, you can do it and your future is going to be awesome. Try to think of the prize, not the "what if's". Best Wishes

Every time we "like" something, the person you liked gets a reputation point. And I must say, you have given me quite a few and I, you.lol

The one good thing about points is when I was a newbie and I asked a question, I went by the persons points on whether they knew what they were talking about. If a lot of ppl liked their response, I figured it was good advice. We had a few ppl on here a couple months ago, that appeared out of no where and didn't have a LB or been to a seminar or read any books and was giving advice, having their points help determine their credibility. So they do offer some help to someone new.

Chances are, unless you're really lucky, it won't make much difference. As far as the actual getting the fill, it takes just a minute and thinking about it is more painful then the actual fill. You'll do great, try not to worry.

I use chewable Centrum. I get them at CVS when they have a bogo. I did liquid before and it is nasty, you don't stick with it, if you don't like it.

If you hit that little light switch looking thing in top left corner on your reply, you can. Thats also how you are able to post videos from You tube too. I have to keep switching it back and forth b/c to use the emoticons or back space more than oncs can give you troubls. Hope that helps you!

I just had it 2wks ago. My port flipped completely over. My Dr said I'm only the second one after hundreds of surgeries he has done. I'm so special,lol Any ways, this surgery is much easier than the original surgery. You don't have the chest and gas pressure , as with LBS. They also give you pain meds that work well on incision sting. I had to do 24hrs of liquid b/c I also had a 1.5cc fill at time of revision. Needless to say, I'm being very careful not to lift anything to heavy this time. Oh, another thing, didn't have to have to be intubated(?) air tube down my throat and they used local and different sleep meds than LBS. My daughter met me after surgery and said "you look great for someone who just had surgery" and I did feel good, not the WTH did I do to myself after LB! Good Luck, you'll be fine!
