I'm retired so its hard for me to say, but it will be less time then your LBS. Sorry I can't help you.

Hence, the kidney problems.
-
Might help to weigh or measure your food too. Sometimes eyeballing a serving is way off. Good luck

Too much protein can cause kidney problems, but how much is too much, I can't help you with. I googled it before banding, so I stick to my 60grs Nut told me to, sometimes a little more and sometimes a little less.

I can't answer that. All I know is things I didn't like the taste of before, I now like and things I liked, I now don't like. I use to add Propel to my water, but now its too sweet and I never liked yogurt and now I love it. Go figure!

Happy Belated Birthday Floridays! That is so awesome. You give me such hope, thank you!

You guys are a handsome couple. Glad you had a good time. You look gorgeous aj!

I went to seminar first and they made appt with their office, where they had all my requirements listed in the order I could do them. Then to PCP for first month of 6mth diet. My PCP worked directly with my surgeon through the whole process. They made it all very easy. I was approved in one week after forms sent to Ins.Co.

I don't have a blog, but I will be following yours. -
I had no pre-op diet either. All the Drs are different.

Third times a charm????? Sorry you're having these problems. Its a shame that you know how good it works, when it works. I would think Dr would be very very careful on fixing it this time. I recently had my port flip and my Dr was upset b/c only his second flip in 100's of surgeries. My port revision was a lot easier than LBS. Best to you, let us know what happens! BTW, my Dr did say leaking tubes were much more common.

I also have a 10cc band. I heard it was based on the anatomy of your stomach. I got 3cc fill at my 6wk post op check. -

Pretty much guarantee that after swelling subsides, you'll be able to eat.lol, unless Dr gave you a fill during surgery. You'll find talk on here about "bandsters hell", when you're so hungry to eat, but only allowed a certian amount. That last until you have enough fills to have restriction, which can take several fills. Try and relax, you'll be fine. I remember after I was first banded and every day was a new fear. Turns out, nothing to fear, but fear itself.lol Good Luck! -
Very upset with my weight loss center...
Maddysgram replied to TattooBeauty's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You have to remember that MFP is looking at you as a normal adult, not a normal banded adult. I do 1000 cals 60 gr protein 64 oz of Water I too, concentrate on my 60gr of protein. -

Welcome to the forum! Your story sounds like most of ours, struggling with diets most of our lives, health issues, getting older. We also went through the nervousness and fear wondering if this was the right thing to do. I'm pleased that you're educating yourself about the band, before hand. You stick around here and you'll learn everything you need to know, meet inspiring ppl and get the support that is so important with WLS. If you need a question answered, just ask. We're here for each other and happy to have you join us. Good luck on your journey to better health. -
It can take a few fills before you do feel the restriction you need. Most ppl experience a little swelling around the band after being filled. Thats the reason my Dr has me on liquids after a fill. Did you make another appt for another fill while you were there? My Dr makes me wait 4wks between fills. I was banded Oct 15,2012 had my first fill of 3cc at 6wks and then was scheduled for another fill 4wks later, but something came up and I just had 2nd fill 2 1/2 wks ago of 1.5cc, 3rd fill scheduled for Feb28. Hoping to have restriction after that fill. Best Wishes

I know what you're saying Dee. Because we watch a loved one struggle every day with their life and still manage to always wear a smile, its hard to imagine someone wishing ill on another.

and you crack me up also.... ) -
Haven't had this happen to me, but I wanted to wish you all the best. I do believe if you try and follow the rules you learned with LB eating, you can do well. Smaller portions, eating really slow and chewing a lot just to slow you down, logging your food and calories, drinking a lot of water, avoiding empty calories, moving more and finding a support group if you feel we can't help you here. Best wishes!

If that would make you happy, go for it!

No bashing here either. We are all suppose to listen to our Drs.and no two ppl are alike. There would be more success with LBS if more ppl listen to their Drs.
