Ok, I don't get your original post "Yesterday I was still having reflux"?
-
Being my port flipped completely over, I could have been poking myself until h e l l froze over and still would have failed.LOL Nope, I like that my Dr does it.
-
You're absolutely right about being a major life changing surgery and glad you are asking questions and learning all you can. Good for you!
-
I had to pay a program fee for all nut. visits, stay well for life classes and such. Insurance doesn't pay for that and I think Drs charge you to make sure you are serious about the program. They don"t want their whole staff working on your case and find out you were just fishing.

I think your fears are a normal process in this new LB life. I remember I was always freaked out that I was doing something wrong, when first banded. Try and relax and write these questions down for your next appt.

What did Dr that did Fluro say?

1st off the first 6 wks are for healing, not really losing weighf. If it happens, you get a bonus. 2nd. You will be on just another diet until you have enough fills to have proper restriction aka The Green Zone. It can take months to get there. I was banded 10/15/12 and still not there yet. You probably will have trouble getting the calories and protein in until you are healed. The majority of your protein should be coming from protein shakes right now @ 20gr (some shakes) that shouldn't be too difficult. Hang in there, it does get better and the band will work, if you work the band. -
Most the stories I hear about pregnancy, is they keep their bands , some have them unfilled and go back to having fills after the baby is delivered. So far I have not heard of anyone needing a new band after pregnancy, after all the stomach doesn't enlarge , the uterus does, lol It's a possibility that she was not eating according to LB rules, possibly needing a fill. Like the surgeon said, they need further investigation. You can fail with any WLS, if you don't follow the rules. Good Luck on your journey!

I had to stay overnight just b/c having surgery so late in the day. If they could have scheduled it early morning, I could have gone home. Even staying overnjght, it is still considered Outpatient.

I second Missy's post! Told not to touch it, so I won't.
-
I had port revision too and I wear The Genie Bra, very comfy, don't know I have it on.

I would dearly love a delete button on a post that I make.

My Fitness Pal says Starvation Mode

I agree with everyone else. MFP is treating you as a normal adult person, when in fact you are now a banded adult person. Don't worry about stalls in your weight, it will all work out if you are following the plan. Congratulations on your loss so far! -

Funny I was just telling this same thing to my grandson last night. That no one was responsible for his happiness but him and how he handles things. Wishing you and family a great weekend! -

IMHO, call your Dr. Heartburn is a serious problem and if you are already taking Prilosec, there is something wrong. Heartburn can lead to esophageal erosion and left untreated cancer. Before banding I had silent reflux, no heartburn, but erosion. Nothing to mess around with. Good Luck!

Knock on wood, so far no hair loss
-
Glad you followed the advice of others and doing better. Heartburn is a serious problem that No One should live with.

All nutritionist are as different as Drs,lol I was told 60gr of protein per day and just a small amount of good carbs. The protein is suppose to keep you fuller for a longer period of time. Good luck on your journey!

I agree with Missy. Just a bad case of Bandsters hell. I was banded Oct 15 and still fighting the monster. But right now, I've been dieting for so long, that I have a pretty good hold on it. The trick is, is to stay really busy. I've cleaned out my closets about 3 times already, along with my dresser drawers, cabinets, painting, gardening. If hunger gets really bad, I'll have SF Hot Chocolate or Decaf Chai Tea and that helps a lot. Good luck!

You don't sound like you need any good luck wishes, lol. You are doing fantastic! Congratulations! Best wishes for continued success!
