If I Did Right How Can It Go Wrong?
Maddysgram replied to shrcumm's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Good or bad weigh in, as long as you know you did right,is all that matters. I've been stuck at a plateau for 3wks, but I know I'm doing it right and the scale will move in time. All in God's time! Have a wonderful week and may your weigh in bless your soul. Love you too and give those kids a big hug for me. -
Rosie, you are already ahead of the game. You're going to do great. You're asking questions , reading post and gaining knowledge and like they say "knowledge is power".

Did anyone have a problem with pop/soda?
Maddysgram replied to leannel90's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Good for you, smoking, soda and sweets. Sounds like you want to get healthy. It is hard at first, but after getting the sweets out of your system, you won't even miss them. Think of the money you're saving by not smoking, woohoo. Wishing you a success journey to health. -
Did anyone have a problem with pop/soda?
Maddysgram replied to leannel90's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
When it comes to drinking soda, whether diet or regular, you have to ask yourself, Am I having WLS for better health? and if so, What is in soda that is so healthy? -
I definitly saw myself in this post, from binging, starving to not being able to eat with certian ppl. Great writing, Jean! Thanks for your insight.
-
Yep, personal choice. I also like hot Chai tea also. Any warm drink helps. My Dr. does not allow caffeine.
-
I think we misunderstood you. I think you were saying, you're glad you can still get pregnant with a lapband, right? Not that you are pregnant.

I agree with Draven, you have an excellent support group right here. I would not be where I am today, had it not been for the support, knowledge and inspiration I receive here. I was featured in this months newsletter and what I said was true, I replaced my food addiction for LBT.com addiction. Its an addiction I can live with. You can do this! You did it once, you'll do it again! I encourage you to do like Hely said and track your calories, I use MyFitnessPal. Eat your minimum 60 gr Protein a day and have protein in every meal. Drink your 64oz Water. And of course, hang out here. Good luck

Luka Beth is correct in a large majority of bansters have a tight band in the morning. Me being one of them. I drink Diet hot chocolate to relax my band. Breathing is a different issue.
-
I don't think even a tight band would effect your breathing. I have heard of colds and sinus infections tightening your band, but not the other way around. Time to call your Dr or use your inhaler or both. It is allergy season and maybe that is effecting your asthma? Good luck and hope you get this cleared up soon. A tight band hurts in your upper chest and its hard to eat or drink anything.

Yep, liquids until the swelling goes down. Being we are not Drs, you should give them a call and see what they advice. After all, they make the big bucks.

Never hungry and always getting stuck
Maddysgram replied to Treenz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Keep calling until they see you or find someone for you to see. Thats ridiculous if they think you should wait 2wks. Make some noise! Even if you have to show up at office and do it from waiting room. -
walking moves the gas faster. Walk, walk, walk. Dr told me to get up every 2 hrs and walk.

Well it seems kinda late to be "not sure". lol BF wants more kids, he needs to make you his wife, so kids can have a momma and daddy with the same last name.lol j/s
-
I was told to just keep it clean and dry and not to lift anything heavier than a milk jug and I think that was more for the internal stitches than outside ones. You should be fine! Good Luck
-
Woohoo! Kids are going to be knocking on the door, "mommy, get out of the tub". lol
