I've been on this board for just about a year and have never found 2muchfun to be rude. It is really hard to answer someones question, when there is no info at all. Are they banded,unbanded,pre-op or post-op????? And I know he would never call anyone "wacko", thats just not him.

Loved this blog,aj. I like you, have a hard time figuring out if it is head hunger, or real hunger. I too, need to be better at bite sizes and timing. Congratulations on maintaining your weight and thank you for sharing your thoughts, so we can learn from them. You do belong on Success Way!

    Subtle Signs of Band Complications

The biggest lesson here is, always consult your Dr. None of us here are qualified to diagnose or treat any disorder whether LB related or not. Call your Dr when problems arise, thats what we pay them for.

How many calories do you eat a day?

    1. I eat 1000 calories a day, approx.a) its what works best for me I can stay full on 1000 cal. 2. Don't worry about carbs, other than if they're good carbs. watch protein at every meal and snack 3. no special diet. I follow Drs instructions 4. I don't eat exercise calories b/c right now I do not exercise that much. Waiting on knee replacement 5.Only eat when I'm hungry, approved by Dr. 6. I make sure to drink a minimum of 64 oz daily. You didn't ask that, but I feel its just as important

sxybk, did you surgeon give you a diet to follow? If so, you need to follow that. If they didn't you need to call them and ask for instruction. When you're first banded, everyone goes threw different phases, liquids, mushies and solid food. I wonder where your Dr wants you?

I don't know if I would call it cheating, but it is a bad habit to start. As you move farther into your journey are you going to lick the chocolate off a donut, but not eat the donut. Right now, you need to follow your Drs instructions. Would they ok you sucking the favor off of doritos? You will always have temptations put in front of you and how you handle them will tell if you will be successful or not. Ask yourself, how bad do I want this surgery to work? Do you want it bad enough to stay away from crap for awhile? Only you can answer these questions. I hope & pray you want it so bad, that you are willing to tell yourself no. I want my health, not crap. Not trying to be harsh, just stating the facts. Be in it, to win it!

    only 7 days to go!

yes, everyones Dr does say different things. Hence the advice you hear alot of " follow your Drs instructions". There's never too many questions or any "stupid" questions. Glad you have your list ready for your Dr. You will do wonderfully.

I finally did it. I've lost 200 pounds

    WooHOO! Congratulations! Get Well Soon!
  24. There are some very wise ppl here and they are all here to support you, including me. I have gotten probable 95% of my support here. Lovethenewme is a great source of inspiration and she speaks from experience. The biggest thing WLS did for me, was make me see (finally) how I was using food for comfort. I thought I just like the taste of things and just didn't know when to say when. But the LB made me see 1) no, I am not hungry, its in my head 2) how I'm doing it now, makes me feel good. It is a learning process, but you can do it. When I was first banded, I cleaned so many closet, drawers, and cabinets, just to do something else, but think of the food I was missing.lol I've only be banded since Oct and have already cleaned out my closet and dresser drawers about 4 times and giving clothes away to Goodwill b/c they are too big, is a great feeling.Beats eating and feeling terrible about myself. This is doable, just don't give up on yourself. We're here for you. Find your WANT power, if you want it, you will do it. Wishing you the best
