My metabolism was way screwed up way before LBS. 40 plus years of yo-yo dieting and then adding menopause on top of it. LBS has help me lose over 100 lbs, but the last 30 has been kinda difficult b/c of my slow metabolism. Thats why I just went through a doubke knee replacement so I get get moving and rev that fat burner up.lol Good luck to you!
-
Lady Di, excellent on your protein intake. You are inspiring us all to get on the stick and just do it.
-
Dawn, your quiche pictures look wonderful, wish I was closer.Only do what you can handle, send peel and stick Cookies in a care package. Peel and stick are what we call the Pillsbury already mixed cookies.lol I'm sure Mini only has time for her CPA studies. Brutal test. You go girl!

I haven't b/c Minimi and Nicole are here. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
-
So tired laying on my back, it hurts. Laying on my side really makes my knee's throb. What am I to do???? I call for drugs and alcohol. I guess I won't make the news like Anna Nicole, guess I'll behave.
-
Mini skinny mi, good luck with your studies. I have no doubt you will do fine. We'll be calling you Mini Skinny Mi, CPA.
-
I'm claiming drugs when it comes to memory. lol Can't be me......

progress today, able to lift my leg up on bed with using a belt to assist, yay!!! The little things in life. I'm very tired, even with Percocet I only sleep 30 mins to 1 hr during the night. Only had a 30min nap yesterday after, so it isn't b/c I'm sleeping too much. The least amount of pain keeps me up. Just got comfy in my bed, heating pad on my thigh and butt and now I have to pee and I have nothing to drink to take rx. I'm screwed! Hope everyone is having a good day! I am enjoying reading your post, even if I do not reply. I'll have my wits about me soon, maybe...

Yay, Nichole is back. We were worried about you . Congratulations for giving up smoking. Ithink that is even more important than losing weight. You go girl! Sorry about the family problems. Dawn, glad you have this time with Brad. You're getting a glimpse how things are going to be. Is there any hope on working your current job from Omaha? Terri, sorry about the bug bite, but glad you did get your butt to the Dr. I can relate to injections into the arse. I lost count.lol Happy quilting and scrapbooking. Michelle, you are amazing, Are you related to the Energizer Bunny aka Dee? After I finish here, I'm going to check out the party page. I too was so happy to be overweight, congrats! Carole, I'm looking forward to meeting you for a stroll. I have a feeling Jack is enjoying his diy projects. Have you planned what your first meal is going to be, after the counters are put in? On FB, is that a picture you took of the tree's changing? It was so beautiful. Dee, loved the pictures of the boys. They look so happy. Thank you from Maddy for sending her balloons. She loves her balloons. Sorry you had to have band emptied and pray everything will be ok. I have always had to take Prilosec and after being banded, I can feel if I have forgotten to take it. Di, would love to hear from you.... I got home at 9:30 this morning. I was discharged in record time. As long as I have Percocet in my system, I'm ok. When it runs out, its a b***h. I know it will only last for a short while and be well worth it. So for a few days I will stay in bed and take 10min walks in between times. Thanks for all your well wishes! Love ya!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. My deepest sympathy. It took me over 40yrs to be able to quilt. There's still time for you. Oct 15 will be my one year anniversary, but I don't think I will be as good as you and be at goal. I'm super proud of you!

Good evening my lovelies, Dawn, glad you have your mind on taking care of you. Its about time! lol You have given so much to your friends and family and now it is your time. Carole, I do hope your PT goes well. My pt and I were just talking about scar tissue, importance on keeping things moving. Yay, counter tops!!!!! I hope you post a picture. I do understand the fine line medications have on your stomach. I even found drinks with too much citrus can bother my stomach. After a full year, I have just figured that out.lol Dee, I'm with Carole, woppie pies in the house would be too tempting for me. I have never had one, but sounds marvelous. Terri, I would think once a year for bariatric check up, unless you are having a need for fill problem. Good luck tomorrow! Hi Skinny Minimi and Di. My surgery is scheduled for 9:15 tomorrow morning, evidently I'm not first this time. I have to be at hospital at 7:15, beats 5am like before. I'll try to get on as soon as I can. Its a great feeling knowing I have you all in my corner. love & hugs to you all!

I'm sure your kitties were happy to have you home. Mine usually give me the cold shoulder for a while. Dawn, Loved your amusement ride , screaming bloody murder photo. Just glad you are out of the house enjoying yourself. Carole, you get that deck done? Whats the time frame on the counter tops? Mini, you start studying for the cpa exam? Bummer, about the game. How disappointing for the kids.

Prayers for my dear cyber twins with their financial problems. I remember so well the rough years, this too does usually get better. I was just thinking how fortunate it is that we now have health insurance and I am able to have had my LB and Knee surgeries. Six years ago, it would not have been possible. Thank you Jesus!!!!

Definite prayers for Di and family. Hope she is still going to her support meetings. I just watched a show about Alzheimer's. A poor man's wife got it at 57yo (my age) and his arthritic mother and dementia father had to watch her during the day so he could work. So, so sad! My prayers to all the families facing this cruel diesease.

Feeling back to normal (kinda, whats normal?) Got all the laundry done, dish washer started and emptied (emptying right away very unusual) and almost have Maddy's "underwear" quilt done, just a little hand sewing. I found being in my rolling sewing chair is great PT. I forget myself and use my left leg to move it around. It only hurts for a second. Dawn, you are such a wise young lady, wish I could take credit for that. You never let anything keep you down for long. You do have a lot on your plate right now, empty nest, finances, upcoming move and mangled moles in your yard. Big cyber hugs my dear!!! Carole, I have absolutely no plans for November, my days are my own, so any day you pick is doable. Can't wait. Terri, glad the picnic was a success. Have a safe trip back home. Mini, How'd this weeks game go? I bet you are getting a ripped bod with your 90 day challenge. We'll have to make you our poster child. Dee, Dee, Dee, You sweet sweet lady! Thank you so much for your lovely card and plaque you sent. I will think of you every single day when I see it. God love you! Di, Stop playing Candy Crush and talk to us, lol. We miss you! I'm very thankful to have you all in my life! Who has to wait until Thanksgiving to be thankful? I'm thankful for you all everyday.

Hey ladies, Hope everyone has a great weekend. Anyone have anything interesting on their to do list? Terri, your picnic sounds like a lot of fun. I too think I need a little fill, but doing nothing until everything is behind me. Carole, you know you are inspiring me to get up and move it. Hope your date night turns out lovely. Nice to have friends to meet with. Still looking forward to meeting you again this fall. Dee, How did cj's dr visit go? When is the 5k? Cyber twins, whats your weekend look like? Di, Hope you have a peaceful weekend. I had my pre op this morning, felt really good and excited about moving forward. Hosp. talked me into a flu shot, within a couple hrs started a slight cough, throat getting sore and now a low grade freaking fever. I hope this is just a slight reaction to shot and not something that will hinder my surgery. TTYL

So happy Dee has a new computer and is with us more, yay!!!! I too am so proud of you signing up for a 5K and want you to keep us in the loop. Carole, My ortho surgeon gave me Voltaren Gel for my sciatic and knee's but it never worked for me. So happy you are feeling younger and happier being able to walk again. I remember after my accident, I too thought I would never be the same again. Every day is a blessing! After my bedrest, heating pad, ice packs and tennis ball yesterday, I feel soooooo much better today. Didn't even use my cane all day. I was thinking about canceling my next surgery b/c of my sciatic, but now ready to go. Pre op tomorrow morning. I wish I had tried the tennis ball much earlier. At least if it happens on my right side, after surgery, I will know what to do. Dawn, Terri, Minimi and Di, Hope you all are doing well. PS. I even sat at my sewing machine for about 1hr. woohoo!

Oh how nice to hear from almost everyone. Dee, so happy about your new computer, enjoy my friend. I can just picture cj laughing so hard. Paula gets into trouble almost every night b/c she makes Maddy laugh until she barf's. lol Its smilers like CJ & Maddy to remind me why I have nothing to complain about. Carole, Seth is still covered. Glad the knee is improving. How's the kitchen coming along? Terri, Enjoying the 3 B's, belching, boating and the beach. I just keep thinking of you going overboard last year, at least if you decide to again the Water is warmer. Dawn, glad you are enjoying the peace and quiet, now I don't have to worry about that. Are your fogs happy Symba (?) is out of the house? Hows things going with Audrey? Minimi, you go girl! Soon as my knee's heal I hope you set me up with a challenge. You were always setting challenges on the open forum. I had an early PT today, off tomorrow and pt after pre op at hospital on Friday. Decided today on complete bed rest, heating pad on my sciatic plus a tennis ball pushing the nerve in my arse. After initial ball pushing, it actually does feel really good. Note to self, next time you're going to stay in bed, do not drink 36 oz of Fluid before hand. I must say, I can't wait for total healing and being able to do the Charleston at Dawn's wedding. Love you all!

Terri, Glad the a/cis working. Hope the weather stays nice and you have a wonderful time. Carole, So sorry to hear you are having knee problems, hopefully its a passing thing. Drs always told me "no climbing, ladders or inclines". Too much stress on the joints. Take care my friend, I feel for you. Dee, How exciting about CJ. Today cotton candy, tomorrow a t bone steak. Shut the front door!!!! Mini, Thats cute that your son has to pretend to be mean and scary.lol Thanks for the oil tips. I was thinking lavender, also thought about putting lavender all over my bedroom. My new sleeping schedule is, sleep a hour, read a hour, sleep a hour, read etc..... Proud you're sticking with your 90 days. I love how you make a plan and stick with it until you accomplish it. Dawn, How you doin? Worried that the full house over the weekend has left you with an empty house let down. Thinking of you!!! Di, Your cheesecake picture almost had me licking my tablet.Key lime is one of my all time faves. I made a great dinner tonight, hot roast beef sandwich withmash potatoes covered in gravy. Evidently I was not even suppose to eat even a small portion. While adding the sliced beef to the gravy, I decided to munch on a piece, big mistake. It hurt!!!! That was the end of my dinner. I was having a hard time (knee pain) all weekend and thought I must have torn something, but PT assured me that there is nothing I could do to damage my knee. I can hurt it, by over doing but not damage it. As she was forcing a tight bend (ouchy), she said it was really swollen. I'm not to walk as much as I have, just 10min intervals. Thats not what PT at hospital said.... Terri, my other knee is scheduled on 9/11, one week from tomorrow. Hope everyone is doing well!
