I feel like crying:'(
Maddysgram replied to sunflower72's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am truly sorry you are going through this, when you could use her support. Who knows what her problem is, if she can't communicate it to you. So sad! Like the old saying goes " if you love something, let it go. If it doesn't return, it never was" continue on your journey and give her time, if she doesn't reach out to you, she wasn't a true blue, honest to goodness friend. I hope she comes to her senses. -
I'm in the hospital

Congratulations! The first 48hrs is the toughest, after that its a piece of diet cake. Hang in there and walk, walk, walk -
That's what I liked about it too. A real Dr, telling it like it is and showing what it looks like. Reality TV Commercial, lol

What do you do to gain energy?
Maddysgram replied to Kitt3000's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Your profile says your surgery was April 10,2013 and today is only the 9th of April. When were you banded??? -
I did see it, while talking with my banded buddies here. Loved it! Happy that others will learn more about it and understand how it works.

What do you do to gain energy?
Maddysgram replied to Kitt3000's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I just checked your profile and you were just banded April 10, so yes for awhile you are going to be weak and tired, not unusual. Follow your Drs orders, make sure you're sipping enough water and rest when you get weak. If you are not cleared for protein shakes, call your surgeon and talk with them. -
Fage 0% Fat free plain greek yogurt. I mix it with everything.
-
What does your surgeon say? At 6 days out, I was only allowed liquids.
-
No, I am still not all I should be but I am bringing all my energies to bear on this one thing. Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. I strain to reach the end of the race and receive the prize Phil 3:13

It was the acct # I got from you, that I gave M1. Where's my money??? Don't play that sad card with me . I'm telling M1, you cheated him -
CG has done very well with plication, but I know she works just as hard with it as does someone with just the band. I know, we're friends. The only difference I have seen is, she has not had any fills yet, where I have had three. Do whatever you can afford.

A bad stuck can really aggravate your stoma, it can take sometime on liquids until the swelling goes down. Your Dr is the best one to advice you on what to do. Good luck
-
Welcome to the forum, countrysweet! Your story sounds just like mine and half my friends here.lol You've come to an excellent forum for support, education on the band and inspiration from some very successful ppl. Hope you stick around and we all become good friends. Best wishes on your journey to new health.

Ditto, Countrysweet -
yep, sometimes Lifetime partners don't work out, ppl get divorced and hopefully move on to better things.

Congratulations being on the banded side! That phase is one of the hardest things about LBS. Thats when you have to keep reminding yourself, how bad you want this to work. Right now is "mind over matter". You can do it
-
Sorry Line-dancer, but in the beginning right after surgery, when your restriction isn't enough and even head hunger, has to be ignored to succeed in WLS.IMHO Great post Sharon! That's just how I've been doing it and it seems to be working. That's where our phrase "if you want it bad enough, you will do it". God Bless Girlfriend!
