Welcome to " Bandsters Hell"! Most of us have been there and done that, lol. Hang in there, it is doable. This is where your "wantpower" comes in. Good luck!
-
Its obvious that your head is not into this, so like the others said "talk to Dr, Nut" maybe they can suggest a therapist to help with the head game. You can start over. Good luck to you!

You could stay home to eat, or you could eat out and STAY OFF THE scale.LOL I eat out all the time, but I don't let the scale get me down.

Scratching to Climb this Mountain....

Life does get difficult for all of us from time to time, sorry your time is now. Prayers for peace to come over you. I know what your saying about being pregnant. My granddaughter was born stillborn at 6mths, 3yrs ago on Thanksgiving. My daughter has not had Thanksgiving with us since. What is so sad is that she wasn't suppose to be able to get pregnant at all. She has gone through 2 IVF procedures. First one didn't take, but now is 18wks pregnant and yes, we are all scared. I'm very proud of her b/c she isn't sitting around waiting, she's carrying on with life, which right now is selling and buying a new house. I think I mentioned this to you before, but you need a Dr that will keeo an eye on your Progesterone level, for the first months of pregnancy. It kinda makes me mad that your Dr is pretty much saying" go ahead and try, but it won't work out". My thought, yiu need a new Dr and one that is an expert in problems with pregnancy. They are out there. I wish you all the best! Sounds like you have enough on your plate, without adding school to it right now.IMHO Hang in there and do the best you can. Thoughts & Prayers -
LOL, yep smoking pot and dieting don't go together. Like oil & Water. Time to not only lose weight, but to get healthy too. Give your lungs a break too. Plus the money going to pot, will be needed for new clothes. I was a teen in the 70's, know what your saying. No judgement here!

It's totally normal to be nervous. I don't know anyone who hasn't been, going into surgery. Like Bandashoop said, concentrate on the positive, a new healthier you and not the negative. I did have my port flip 3mths out. Dr said out of the hundreds of surgeries he's done, I was only his second patient to do this. I looked at it as just a bump in the road and continued on my Quest for better health, which btw, I no longer take b/p medicine. I too, wish I would have had this surgery sooner, boy the time I had wasted being morbidly obese. Now just a few clicks off being overweight and I'm just getting started. In my case having LBS was a life saving procedure. Being Morbidly Obese was going to kill me.

Welcome to the forum. You will find everything you described wanting, right here. The good, the bad and the beautiful. I spent 6mths here before being banded. I read numerous books and attended support groups. I learned more here than anywhere else. I owe my current success to my banded friends here. I don't do instagram, so I hope you will post your successes here also. Good luck on your journey!

Today was my Banded Diva Day!

It's always good to have a plan.Sounds like you've given it great thought. You might find out that after awhile you will not have cravings as usual. I have had no problem being with ppl eating fattening food and craving some. My adult children kept saying" sorry mom" and I told them, it was not a problem, eat and enjoy. Hoping you will be there soon. -
I had to face the "what ifs" b/c if I didn't, there was no "what ifs" about it, I was going to die way to young. What if this surgery works and I live a lot longer, enjoying my life, my grandkids, my future. I'm so happy I faced my what ifs. My life has changed so much in 7mths. The journey has not always been easy, but it has been doable. Its not about willpower, its about want power! So happy you're facing your "what if's"

Are blog postings listed on the main page for everyone to read?
Maddysgram replied to cat whisperer's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Blogs can be open to all, or private just for friends. If someone is getting bad responses, or someone judging by the star judging and the blogger isn't sure whose doing it, they might switch their blog to just friends. Try not to take it personal, might be they don't know you and some else is giving them trouble and they're just protecting their feelings. You could PM them and tell them how you feel and they might add you back in as a friend. -
I think everyone on this site and anyone having LBS, has felt exactly the same way. Even after surgery, that same thought keeps going through our heads, "I've failed everything before, am I going to fail this too". The answer is, you fail when you give up. Refuse to give up. My advice to you or anyone looking into LBS, don't rush it, learn all you can before hand. You will get great insight into this surgery right here. You'll learn from the ppl rocking this and also from those making mistakes. There's always something to learn. This whole journey is a learning experience, for everyone. Good Luck on your journey!

Weigh in before surgery
Maddysgram replied to Noki124's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pre-op appt at hospital weighed me. That was 5 days before surgery. I guess it depends where you're having surgery. Try to stay as discipled as possible. I truly believe I had an easier time post op b/c of not introducing sugar and bad carbs into my diet. Others were crying how hungry they were and I thought it was nothing I couldn't handle. Good Luck! -
I would definitly try to work more protein into your diet. You can add FF Plain Greek yogurt into soups for a real boost. Lowfat flavored yogurt will help also. This is the part of the surgery Drs don't talk a lot about " Bandster Hell", the time between surgery and restriction, when you want to chew your arm off. Hang in there, it does get easier and better. I remember feeling really pretty well ths first week post op, but the second week brought on great fatigue. Good thing, it didn't last long. Your body has suffered a shock, it needs time to regroup. Don't push it. Good Luck

You can pretty much puree anything. I enjoyed making Taco soup and pureeing that, add some fat free greek yogurt and you have a blast of protein. FF Ricotta cheese heated with marinara & spinach. Hormel Chili with beans with ff greek yogurt, yummy.
