My sister had a gastric bypass and after 2 yrs she's gained her weight back, just like you can with a LB. It seemed very radical to me. As far as having a foreign object in my body, my granddaughter has shunts & feeding tubes all through her body. She is a very happy smiling 12 yr old and has never had any problems with all the objects in her body. Sold me! Good luck !

Getting my life back!!!! I can't shop, go anywhere there's lots of walking or standing. Can barely get out of pool and yes, even riding my beloved Harley is getting hard.

BC/BS is the worst. Both daughters have it through work and they have to fight for every claim. Even 35yrs ago when I worked in a Drs office they were a pain. I believe it's a stall tactic they're required to do on all claims. I have Aetna and have never had a problem, knocking on wood...

Husband and I ride every weekend. I live just blocks from the Gulf of Mexico so we always ride the beach rodes. I always want to jump off my bike and plunge into the Gulf. It looks so beautiful. In Florida you have to do most of your riding in the summer. Come winter all the snowbirds are here and you're taking your life in your hands, riding with them. Case in point, just had my 99 Cobra Mustang t-boned and totalled by a old guy from Georgia. She was my baby! Well ride safe!

I forgot to tell you congratulations! My daughter had 2 miscarriages and it wasn't until she did the research and made Dr check it and found out her progesterone level was dropping. I get so anger that a Dr allows a women to go through such a painful experience, when it could be avoided.

That is a great NSV! Just told my husband I would ride with him after I lose weight. I ride my own bike too.

Make sure Dr keeps an eye on your Progesterone level. I don't know why but some Drs let women have multiple miscarriages when a simple blood test and a rx can stop it. You will be in my thoughts & prayers!

Did he tell about the thousands of obese people who die from heart attacks & strokes?? I was reading a book last night and it said about 0.03 die from it. Plus sounds like she didn't stick to the lifestyle change and dilated her pouch. Don't listen to him! Do the research and learn the facts. Good luck!

I ride a Harley Custom 1200LX Sportster. KristiRN, I learn to ride on a Intruder. The Sportster,even though a lot bigger & heavier is a much easier bike to ride.
