I'm one of the lucky one's who doesn't have to do a liquid diet. A 1200 cal diet for 2 wks. Dr said he wanted me to lose 5 more lbs and that was 10lbs ago.yeah!!!! -

Drinking From A Straw???

Over the years I've always used protein shakes on my diets, and drinking them through a straw. It's going to be hard drinking them without after I'm banded. But I will, Drs orders. -
Truthfully, cream of wheat is for the mushy stage, according to my dietician. J/S

My Drs off ( which all ARE different) said, by law they have 30 days but my company usually gives them an answer within 2-3wks. I'm 1 wk into waiting. Other Co. have answered in 1wk.

My dietitian said 1/4 to 1/2 cup. But every Dr is different. Are you able to call and talk with your surgeons office? I got so much paperwork on diet, foods to eat & foods to avoid. I'm glad I did b/c when they're telling you it's like info over load.

I never had a wedding dress, got married at court house. I was 16 & hubby 18. That was 40 yrs ago in Nov. I think I should get a wedding dress when I reach goal and renew our vows and you all are invited. LOL

Well when my Dr asked me which band I wanted and I told him I hadn't a clue. I ask him if there was any difference between them. I quote " LB has a little restriction right away, while Realize takes a few fills to get any restriction". Being I'm working on getting knee replacement, I chose the LB. What can I tell you. -

My Dr told me the Lapband has a little restriction from the get go, where you Realize does not. -
