Maddysgram replied to SusieSunshine's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry for laughing! I just couldn't understand why you'd have a stupid Dr do surgery on you. Believe me I 've seen some stupid Drs in my day. Drugs are good, drugs are good just not while txting. Lol Best wishes! -

Maddysgram replied to ChristinaAshley's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Another thought, are you drinking with meal? Your surgeon got paid big bucks for your surgery, make him work for it. Hope things straighten out soon. Best of luck! -

I have a thin husband who can eat anything and he does. I just choose not to touch anything I know I can't control. Once I make up my mind, I have no problems. I'm also working on emotional eating by working in my yard.

Risks. How Did You Decide They Were Worth It?
Maddysgram replied to lvlymaggie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I talked with my PCP and we decided that the odds that I would die from obesity out weighed the risk of a lapband. I choose LB b/c it was less evasive, and I had a sister who had gastric bypass lost a lot of weight and gained a lot of weight back. After studying the lapband, that can also happen if you don't follow your Drs. orders. If I'm going to jump through all the hoops, I'm going to make sure I follow Drs. orders to the T. -
Get rid of your scale. Weigh at your Drs. office . Use your clothes as a guide to what you weigh. You are going to drive yourself nuts!!!

Welcome! I stalked these boards for months before I finally posted and you're right. There are wonderful people here. My Drs office told me that the most successful people are the one's that have a support group. Thank goodness for LBT!!!

Maddysgram replied to motherlaura's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Stay away from the scale for 6 wks, other than post op check up. You're body is healing. -
LOL, I'm soaking wet all the time. I get in my car and put a/c on full blast to try and dry myself up before going into store, but hey I live in Florida! The humidity is a killer!

Anyone Getting Banded In September?
Maddysgram replied to millsy's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Teenagers "troll" the computers all the time. I bet my 8yo grandson knows what a troll is b/c he has been warned about trusting anyone you don't know. But that being said, I pray God will bless jlg23 too!!! -
Dreading The Scale!
Maddysgram replied to harleymelm's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Remember this is the time for healing, not weight loss. It takes your body up to 6wks for swelling to go down. So don't worry, you'll be fine!!!Promise -
