Thought & prayers to you and family! So sorry for your loss! I lost my Uncle 45yrs ago and I still miss him so much. Yes, I think the best thing you could do for yourself is go to the gym and work through your grief. Make your Uncle proud!!! You can do it!

Welcome to LBT forum! I just finish my 6mths of hoop jumping. Being banded Oct 15. The time will go by really quick. I wasn't happy at first about waiting, but it turned out to be a blessing. It gave me 6mths to learn all that I could about the LB. It's not as simple as having surgery and weight just drops off. It takes work. This forum has been like an on line class for me. Lots of knowledge, inspiration & support. Best wishes on your WL journey! Post often!

From what I've read a fill can cause swelling for a few days and you're suppose to do liquids for awhile, then mushies and then food. As long as you can keep liquid down you should be ok.

My Aetna went back 5 yrs. I've lost 100 lbs twice but records showed I always gained it back. Good luck with your appeal. Hope it works out for you.

Did you get a report on your psych eval from him? My psych Dr sent me a copy of what he sent my surgeon. Matter of fact, I think they're required to. Maybe he denied you not b/c of health issues but more maybe he thinks you do not understand the changes you have to make with the lap band. Just a thought. Good luck with appeal I hope it works out for you!
