Going to be flying to Pensacola. My husband came in under budget and we get a free trip .LOL I can't wait to see The Gulf of Mexico. We have to fly to Atlanta first and then back to Florida. $550 is kinda expensive for lunch. LOL Need to go to bed too, never did get that nap this morning.

Terri, thought we'd catch the Cali girls, but I guess not...

I just noticed, that I cleaned my room for the kids so well, I can't find my list of our info. It's always been on my desk and now that its clean, I can't find it. Sure hope I can find it on my computer somewhere..... I got a great deal accomplished on my quilt today. Picture will be coming shortly. Here's a picture of Jack & Delaney. Every Wednesday night Jack & Paula pick up a pizza and go to the jetty's for dinner. They caught the kids in the right light.

Carole, glad to hear you had a good night. These bands are crazy, tight one minute and loose the next. Sometimes I am tight all day and start thinking maybe I'm too tight and then the next day I can eat steak just fine. Wish my fills were with fluro. I just got my bill from last visit to Dr. $383. Office consult and $150. Gastric Band Adj., wicked. Lucky I only have to pay a $35 co pay, which I paid and now their sending me a bill for $35. I thought computers were suppose to keep things straight.lol Di, I'm so sorry about your ring. I'm putting out a special prayer for it to be found. I've always had the jeweler put ring guards on all my rings. They're really cheap. That's another thing that's tight in the morning, my rings. After I'm up for a while they become loose as a goose.. Lord, Lord Please let Di find her daddys ring! I have my dads pocket knife and it means the world to me. He was an auto mechanic and when we would visit, he always got out his knife and cleaned the oil from under his finger nails. LOL I can still remember the smell of my dad, motor oil. When he died I not only lost the most honorable person I know, but the best mechanic any where. Carole, that's where I get my mechanical capabilities. LOL

I had no problem sleeping in my bed. The trick is crawling in on your hands and knees (after hysterectomy was taught this). I slept on side with a pillow around my stomach for support. When you get out of bed, roll out. Only time I slept in refliner was after taking pain meds and just happen to fall asleep, the couch would have worked too.lol

A drink I saw someone have at support meeting tonight, wow

LOL, I don't take your post as mean at all. I agree with you. I think we tend to know, but not care. We were among the common "it won't happen to me" club."We're gonna die from something, why not enjoy ourselves". When it comes to WLS, I would think that most of us were made to attend nutrition classes and even if we didn't, I'm sure surgeon warned against empty calories and high calorie foods and drinks. It is amazing, when you go as far as surgery and still want to hang on to unhealthy choices. I'm not saying, not have a treat once in awhile, but not to make bad choices a habit. -
PS, is it to early for a nap???
-
Di, Wishing you well and praying really hard, that mom will be placed somewhere that will give you back your life. Really glad you are definitely going to meet Carole & Terri, wish it was me too, but another time.

C Twins, I hope you have a great day. Michelle, I'll be so happy when school is over. Does your CPA exam have to be taken all at once, or do they do like FL and break it down to 4 seperate test? Dawn, I bet your emotions are all over the map.... Wanting to be with Brad, but leaving all you have ever known, hard. Don't let your daughter try to guilt you, she'll be making her way in the world soon, without you. I know you'll face your fear and will be so blessed in doing so.

Good morning all, Hoping you all have a great hump day. I keep thinking today is Thursday. Terri, don't worry, hair not too short. Mainly had it colored and highlighted and just a slight trim around the ears. I like my hair short, when you live in Florida and your either sweating or swimming , or both, its easier to take care of short. Carole, Glad you liked your Dr. I really hope he can help you, without removing your band. T&P still going up. Having time with high school friends, sounds like a great time. I wasn't surprised about you losing weight and you know you probably lost more, since all the partying before you left FL. I figured all that running up and down stairs, unpacking putting things away, walking new stores, all added up. You don't need your scale.lol Dee, How sweet is your hub!!!! My girls & I have a saying from a movie, I think Dumb & Dumber, "just when we think they can not get any dumber, they do something that totally redeems themself." Btw, when I start losing my post, I start posting in short burst. Nothing worse than losing everything you worked on. Time to post before I lose this....

Its true that all Drs are different. I lived on Diet Mt Dew, but haven't had one since banding. Even if I was allowed, which I'm not, I wouldn't want to get addicted to them again. Soda offers your body nothing, the only good ingredient is Water and why not just drink that?! 3wks post op though, thats just asking for trouble. You're not healed yet, carbonation pushing on the new stitches, no thank you. -
When I had port revision, my Dr also said there was fluid around port and it would go away.It did.
-
While soaping up in the shower, I was scrubbing under my boobs (sorry tmi) and on my right side I felt a large lump, that was about the size of my port, which is on the left below ribs. I was thinking oh my gosh, what the heck and then it dawned on me, it was my rib. Bahahahaha I never felt it before. I love my band!

Carole, I hope your visit goes as well as Maddy's did yesterday. I can imagine that after the flat straight roads in FL, the mountians can be intimidating. But I know, you can overcome that with time. Getting ready to leave for hair appt. Will TTY all L. Thoughts for a great day to all!
-
Not a clue, but please call your Dr.I say that b/c before getting banded, I came really close to esophageal cancer, due to acid erosion. Burning is not right and only a Dr can figure out whats up. Good Luck and keep us posted.

What to tell nosy people?
Maddysgram replied to Amp1504's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would just say, I had some personal medical issues I had to deal with. If they ask what kinda of issue, I'd say personal issues. They should get the point. Do not feel obligated to tell anyone, anything. When you start losing weight, simply say, I've been working hard with diet and exercise trying to get healthy. There's no lie in that. -
With my Dr, its not so much about how much I'm losing, but how quickly I get hungry between meals and how big of bite sizes I was able to tolerate. At first I could eat a steak like I did pre op, but now its small bites.
-
What are you NOT ABLE to eat?
Maddysgram replied to Wanna-Be-Healthy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I can pretty much eat anything, as long as the size is small enough and I chew it enough. The only thing I might have trouble with, from time to time is chicken, if its too dry. Last night I did have chicken and it went well, I dipped it in a ranch yogurt. -
Its always the boobs that go first with me also. Just got a new bra, was wearing 44D and now 36DD. Evidently I should have been wearing a DD all along. Went to Victoria Secret and had a professional sizing. When I bend over, all the loose skin under my arms falls into my bigger cup.lol Makes me look like I got something. Congrats on the smaller bra size!
-
Good Afternoon Sunshine, lol Hey, are you drinking enough water? I get really dizzy, if I don't get at least 64oz. Just a thought. Also got to stop taking my B/P medicine too. Good day sunshine!

All I can say is, I have great twins!!!! They both so smart and funny. I love them both so much! They pretty much addressed everyone with what I would have said, so ditto what they said. I don't know if this is possible, but I think Dawn's stepmom and mine are the same person. Either that or they're related like my cgirls and I. Yes, unpacking and organizing will wait. Exercise as easy as walking can help reduce stress. Carole, Right now, your trip to Drs is on my number 1 prayer list, along with Maddy, she's seeing a new GI Dr today, which she needs a great Dr. Her best GI Dr is in Ohio. So prayers for great Drs for two of my favorite ppl. Terri and Dawn, congrats to you both on getting the scale going in the right direction. I knew you could do it. Yes, Michelle is a great motivator! Nicole, I keep meaning to tell you, I love your post on Pinterest. You too, have a sense of humor like the rest of this family. Enjoy your last week off. I can't believe we waited forever for your surgery and now your 4wks post op, what gives. I hope you have a wonderful birthday, no beer and churros, but a small slice of cake would not hurt. Dee, I hope everything is going as well as to be expected, with a house full of kids, goats, chicks and horses. I'd like to see that new sundress too. I love sundress and moomoo's, especially when I'm home for the day and the bra comes off.lol Di, Prayers for a great week for you. Things will get better. Hang in there and know we all love you. I've been up since 1am, got the house all cleaned and now on the way to grocery store. Quilting later, maybe. Tomorrow FINALLY having my gray colored, I so excited!!!! If I forgot someone, forgive me, I gray. I love you all and wishing you all a great start to the new week. TTYL XOXOXOXOXOXOXO

Thanks for sharing your day with us,Di. You look great!!!!! Your puppy is cute too. Happy Birthday to your granddaughter and Lexius! Almost didn't recognize your daughter, she changed her haircolor.lol Glad your weekend was filled with joy. I saw the picture of that cake and it sounded and looks marvelous.
-
I agree with Missy, Stephanie. I've had 4 fills in 8mths and still have to pay attention to bite size, chewing and speed. So easily we forget, or eat mindlessly. I have found that certian foods are trouble some to me, like chicken. Either that or I haven't learn to eat it properly. I have found that this whole process is a continuing learning process. Wish my Dr did fills with fluro, wouldn't have to continually worry if I'm too tight or just stupid.lol

Carole,Glad adding back your medication has helped some. I really don't know how we're to keep our band restricted enough not to get hungry, but loose enough to handle stress tightening. How do we find that happy medium?! hmmmm Dawn, Ft . Myers is 45 min south of me.The girls and I would drive down there to shop at Hobby Lobby. I love their airport too. When will you be coming? lol Waiting to hear how the birthday celebration went.Sounds like a fun time. Michelle, I had a feeling your daughter and sil would work things out and it would leave you angry for life.~hugs~ My niece does that to my sister all the time and my sister hates her sil's. Notice I said sil's, plural. She's had three and everyone of them momma hears about. Congrats to your son! Mommas baby is growing up. Nicole & Terri, waiting to here about your day.... What ever you do, I hope its fun and relaxing.
