That just goes to show how different Drs are. My Dr said heating pad ok on shoulder & back, but possible nerve damage near incision could lead to burning without you knowing it. Glad I'm not having trouble with incisions. Hope yours feel better soon! -

Hi Chelsey, I'm 3 days out and it will get better. Dr told me first 48hrs would be the worst as far as swelling goes and he was right. Keep sipping & walking. Not sure if you should put heat on incisions. Best wishes! -

Banded Oct 15 late in the day and had to stay overnight. Since being home I have slept very well. Had to take bandages off today b/c I was starting to itch & break out in slight rash from adhesives. Starting full liquids for 30 days tomorrow. I've had trouble "sipping" water. I sip but to frequently, but I think I have that worked out. Not having gas pains ,yet?!? Best wishes to all! -

Congrats! Get your rest, walk & eat your ice chips. I really enjoyed ice chips, lol. Had my surgery 10/15.

Ok, 24hrs and pasted the WTH phase and moved into the HTH am I going to drink that much Water, when stomach is slammed shut & angry. Dr said don't worry swelling will go down. Problem is I like water and I want so bad to gulp 16 oz in my usual 15mins. This too shall pass! -

Last nights dream- I was half awake b/c of a burning pain near port and I'm thinking I must be in wrong (LBT) thread. I got to find the right thread? Who knows maybe I wasn't even in pain!? How do I control my dreams so I might dream about George Clooney or Matthew McConnahey(sp?) -

Sorry you're battling a cold Dee! I've been fighting a sneeze all day, b/c I know its going to hurt. I think it might be from flowers a friend sent. Moved them into another room.

My surgeon actually uses both brands of band. He leaves it up to the patient to decide. I asked him if there was any difference between them and he told me, the Lapband has a little restriction from the start than Realize. That was the one I choose, we'll see.
