OMGosh!!!!!! I can not believe that they refuse to help her where she is at. What ever happened to the idea of the patients well being and not whether they have insurance or not! I'm really glad she has you with her to help her through this. You both will continue to be in my T&P and thank you for keeping us updated!

The best advice would be to get out of bed as soon as possible and start walking. The more you walk the more you move the gas out of you. My Dr said get up every 2 hrs except at bedtime. I promise the more you walk the better you will be. Also take a Chapstick with you. Lips are crazy dry after surgery. TRY not to worry, it will be over before you know it and you'll be going woohoo, I'm on the other side. You'll be in my thoughts & prayers!

I think this is a very wise thing to do. I started 7 mths ago, the first 6mths of Dr supervised diet I lost slowly and after ins approved I cranked it up a notch. I had my LB 2 1/2 wks ago and by what I read, I'm having it a lot easier than most and I think its b/c I already had the hardest part (getting started) done. Best wishes to all of you!

Yes, it sounds like me a few weeks ago. I too had a hernia repair and the swelling makes it difficult for awhile, but I promise every day you will get better and better. Walk, walk ,walk & sip,sip,sip and walk some more. Hang in there!
