How are our August sleevers going? I had my surgery last Tuesday and feel fantastic already. Spent 3 nights in hospital and had drip and 2 horribly drains, but that was the worst of it. No shoulder pain from gas. Everything else was a breeze. Still on fluids for another week. Some dull pain ad lts of gurgling noises from sleeve when i drink, but this is getting less and less each day. Getting about 2 litres of liquid in daily. Would love to hear how everyone else s going. Hi jgirl, i was sleeved last Tuesday. Since beginning of pre-op to now, so 3 weeks, i am down 13 kilos. Very happy and feel great. Good luck for 23rd. Sent from my iPad using VST

Hi Susie Great that you are getting the sleeve now ad congratulations on your previos success withthe band. I am sure you will be appier with the less complicated sleeve. I took DGas with me to hospital but didn't need it. Stock was allowed for me during pre-op. either home made or bought liquid or cube. I used to hae a cube in Water as a soup. I was also allowed up to one cup berries per day which were nice blended into shakes and put into diet jelly for variety. Were are you based? Sent from my iPad using VST

I was until the op, but aven't restarted yet. I am getting my blood pressure tablet down no problem so will start back on multi today. Thanks for the reminder. Couldn't gt to sleep until midnight, woke at 3.17am and could not get back to sleep since then. Unusual for me. My tummy makes loud gurgling noises when i drink andeven sometimes when i am not. Did yours?

Yes it was very sad. Gail was my Mum's best friend and she was only 60. She passed away about 18 months ago and her lovely husband has recently met a new lady and is slowly getting on with life. Just goes to show you have to cherish every day.

Shelley, I am hoping not to have too much excess skin, so hopefully I won't need further surgery. Plan to exercise to help tone. If I did need it though I would do it, but you are right, it is majar surgery. I know a lady who lost 80kgs and had a lot of excess skin. She had multiple operations on various parts of her body over a coupe of years (tummy, thinghs, arms etc) and was happy with the results. Unfortunately she passed away last year from horrible ovarian cancer. So sad, but she looked fantastic!
