That's great and normal to be excited. Bit tough that you have to do it for 4 weeks instead of the more common two, but are you also able to have a bit of variety with 'free' vege and berries and the odd bit of fish or chicken? That was my Opti program, but it varies from person to person. Good luck.

Lissa, you have lost so consistently in the past and as you are getting closer to reaching your goals it's normal for things to slow down and it was still a loss!

Thanks, yes I have one bad knee from an old skiing injury. Was operated on unsuccessfully a couple of years ago. It now has arthritis and a recurring bakers cyst at the back. Since getting the sleeve and losing 33kg it's been a lot better, but I've done something new to it now which is just a nuisance. I am still exercising, but avoid using that knee or doing anything which is unsupported.

Thanks Sue. This knee is crook at the best of times, so hopefully it will repair itself in time. Just another niggling injury.

Hi Lissa, I did OK with goals this week except I only did 2 gym sessions instead of 3, but I did a good long walk last Sunday too, when something 'popped' in my knee, so it's back to my orthopaedic surgeon in a couple of weeks.

My dietician said not to worry about chewable and to take any good quality multi Vitamin with Water as you would any other medication you are on, even in the first week post off and when on puree.

Congratulations and so glad all went well. Enjoy the ride now and just take things slowly. We look forward to hear further about your successes.

Reading books and playing games on an ipad may also help.

I agree with Misty, try and do something to take your mind off things and try and relax and enjoy the break. Maybe try some meditation and picture yourself on a sun drenched beach in a bikini next summer!! That should put a smile on your face!

Helen it sounds like you are in good hands even with this happening. Will you health fund cover the extra days in hospital? Best to be safe than sorry. Keep us posted and we will be thinking of you until we know the sleeve is done and all is well.

That sounds rightMisty. i went to one appt one month post op then didn't go back until 9 months. I am going to go to my 12 month appt shortly then that's it. It's good really that we don't have issues and have ti keep seeing them.

Hi yes it is very common. Your body is adjusting and 3 weeks out seems to be the magic number. I started stalling then and have done so periodically throughout the past 11 months. Just keep doing what you are doing and you will see it coming down in it's own time. Have faith!

I only really had the three nights I was in hospital and was back at my desk after that, but I do work from home. Taking the first week off while on fluids is more convenient for most people but you are unlikely to actually feel unwell. Hope this helps
