  1. Congrats to all of you!!
  2. I am 8 weeks out tomorrow and used a lot if canned chicken, tuna and crab in the soft foods, still do. I used a tiny bit of light miracle whip and added some onion or garlic powder. I also had at least two Protein shakes a day using half milk and half Water. Scrambled eggs or egg substitutes also came in handy and easy to make. Sf pudding, Jello, Popsicles were a little treat in the evenings!! Also I would purée low sodium Soups, usually those with veggies and meat rather than with noodles or rice. I set a schedule and ate every 3 to four hours and drank water or crystal light in between. I have to admit I still struggle with getting all my fluids I but it is getting better!! Progress over perfection!!

    Insurance

I have personal choice of bc of PA. All they wanted was the psyche eval and the info from the surgeon. I got my approval 9 days after the surgeon sent in the precert! I still had to get the tests the surgeon wanted so altogether it took 7 weeks to get surgery scheduled !! Good luck
  17. I wasn't allowed to drive for two weeks. Day 8 my daughter took me to the mall, huge mistake. Igot weak lightheaded and almost passed out. And that was only 15 minutes after we got there! By day 14 I was able to get around much better but still had rough spots. Take it easy and have someone with you

    Gallstones Anyone?

Might as well get it. All done at one time. Chances are if you don't , the gallbladder may blow shortly after your surgery and you will have to go back in for surgery. Luckily my gallbladder was taken out many years ago. Good luck
  20. I am 7 weeks out and eating between 600 -700 calories a day. I am 5'4 and down to 200 lbs from starting wt of 243. Getting in between 56 and 64 grams of Protein but still struggling with getting all my liquid in. Is my caloric intake ok at this stage?
