LT1002 got a reaction from SexySlim in Milkshake?
Two more points and then I'll stop beating this dead horse...
1) OP asked when, not if. If you haven't had one, simply move on and don't answer. Don't reply by saying you'd never do it. That's not what the OP asked.
2) For those of you who did reply that you'd never eat something that bad for you now that you've been sleeved, think about your pre-sleeve self. Unless you lived under a rock and had no idea what healthy eating looked like, you knew what you should be eating to lose weight. Now imagine if a thin health nut went up to overweight you and said "if you want to lose weight you should eat healthy and exercise like I do!" How insulted would you be? I would guess pretty insulted, probably upset and somewhat angry.
Well, you're pretty much doing the same thing to the in moderation people. Some people do come here for advice and in that case, then go for it. But not everyone is looking for that, and in this thread, that's not how the OP phrased her question.

It's a bit disingenuous to suggest the moderation people will fail. Both will learn new ways of eating - the moderation people will learn how to eat the things they like without going overboard and falling into old habits, the strict adherents to a healthy diet will change their entire lifestyle. To each their own - some people are marathon runners, some people are sprinters, and some people like a nice, leisurely jog, but they're all runners.
My issue was quantity and choice. Right now, for example, I'm at a late lunch/early dinner at my favorite BBQ place. Pre-VSG, I'd have the pulled pork & brisket combo platter with fried rice, Mac & cheese and a piece of cornbread. I'd pretty much clean my plate. Today I ordered chicken (nice and moist), took off the skin, put the cornbread aside, and had a small bite of Mac & cheese. No rice. To some people, that bite of m&c would be heresy! But to me, I know where I'm coming from and see the change in my eating habits. I know I'm never going to be that strict, healthy eater, so I know for me, the best thing to do is learn to eat like a better me. I also know that after doing a strict healthy diet, I would fall off the wagon big time and probably make myself sick.
Again, to each their own. What's good for one person isn't necessarily the best thing for everyone and to suggest that one way is right or better than another isn't really helpful to anyone.

Are you a nutritionist?
I asked my nut how to break the stall and she suggested I increase my calories. I did and it worked. Some people carb cycle, some people do alternating high and low cal days. My nut is aware of what I'm eating and the calories I'm taking in, so if she suggests I increase my caloric intake, that's what I'll do. I'm 25 lbs down, so I think I'll stick with her advice.

Sorry, but I need to add in one more correction... "assless chaps" is redundant. What other kind of chaps are there?
(this is actually a running joke in my office... you'd be amazed at how often the phrase "assless chaps" comes up...)

I like the G2 grape, though I do think it's a little too sweet. Maybe that's why some people dilute it.

LT1002 got a reaction from peacequeen in Truthful Regrets, Anyone?
Thanks. I see the doctor and nut next week and also made an appointment with my PCP to get some bloodwork done. I've been eating very limited carbs, and getting in as much Protein as I can. I could probably up my Water intake - I just started using Mio to make it taste better and that's got me drinking more. I think I'm just a slow loser - without the positive reinforcement of the scale going down, it's hard to be upbeat about living through this surgery.

I'm sorry you are having such a bad experience. I have no advice for the hair issue as mine is falling out too. But have you talked to your nutritionist about the slow weightloss? Have you tried changing things up a bit? I was having the same problem so I started really cutting carbs. I eat lots of Protein meat and veggies..small amounts of fruit and the weight is coming off much faster. You might tell your doctor about the low energy level because it may be due to a medical problem such as thyroid..wouldn't hurt to have it all checked out. I hope things get better for ya -

It's all the Fluid. Don't worry - you'll lose it in a couple of days.

LT1002 reacted to O.T.R. sleever in Macho Cheese Doritos
Most people are cleared for full foods somewhere between 4-8 weeks from surgery(Doritos would fall into this category) the staple line isn't considered fully healed till 6weeks post op, so I would at least wait till then.
Now that I have answered your "technical" question I would like to add
Carbs(white carbs)like chips trigger cravings. The more of them you eat, the more you want. So I strongly recommend stayin as far away from these as you can
If you just can't resist then I recommend you buy the smallest bag you can, chips are one of those things that just won't fill us up.
And most of all write your goals down this journey is so much easier with specific goals and timeframes. When you are pursuing a goal it's it's easy to say no to those garbage foods.

LT1002 got a reaction from 7carol3 in Whats Worse Child Birth Or Vsg?
As terrible as childbirth sounds, people still go back and have more kids. They say you forget how bad it is. I think it's the same for VSG once the weight comes off - you forget how miserable it is, especially that first month!

With such willpower, why did you even have the surgery? You could have lost weight just sticking to that diet. I take great offense to your comment about "bad behaviors" we are all human and this site is to support people through good behavior and bad. Because we don't have your willpower...doesn't mean that you have the right to judge us.

LT1002 got a reaction from pretty-pink in Never Trust A Fart!
This happened to me in the hospital on discharge day. Had no idea, got up to go to the bathroom and left a trail on the bathroom floor. I had a roommate who was practically comatose, but she had visitors. Mortifying! I could barely move, was still attached to an IV, and was desperately trying to clean myself up. On the plus side, I had no problem passing gas!
