I am scheduled for lapband procedures Aug 1, 2012. I began the liquid diet on July 18. My RD told me to have 4 protein shakes unsweetened applesauce, sugar free fat free pudding and jello. Let me say its not easy. Talking to other lapbanders they suggested substituting 1 protein shake for wonton soup ( without the wonton) of course and getting steamed broccoli and put red pepper flakes to spice it up. I even boiled the frozen spinach in water and seasoned with red pepper flakes and mucho black pepper. I then added the spinach to the soup with the broccoli and it was delicious.... Let me tell you it taste like steak and potatoes it really hit the spot and I feel confident that I could get through the next 2 weeks. So far its been 1 week and I lost 10 pounds. I want to say stay focus and keep pushing because you deserve it.
