Hi everyone. I am wondering if anyone has used scar creams and what he or she thinks about them? I have three previous scars from having my gallbladder out plus five more from the sleeve. I look like I was stabbed, lol. Sent from my iPad using VST

mnm6282 replied to PiggyPantsPaige's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I do t know why you say this. I was 245 and BMI was 42, I am only 5' 2" so am short. Have you ever tried to lose 100 lbs on your own? This statement made me kind of mad. Sent from my iPad using VST -

Mine was two weeks liquid, including full ones. Then one week each of purée, soft, the add regular foods one at a time. I am two weeks out and already did cali roll, Cereal, and quiche. That is cheating some I know but I was fine. Everything else has been liquids or Popsicles. It is weird though that the bluebell SF sickles are too strong in flavor so I got some of the cheap old fashion ones in plastic tubes and they are great! Sent from my iPad using VST

Cant Get In My Protein
mnm6282 replied to traceylynn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OTRsleever, thanks for pointing that out about the collagen protein. I'm going to ask my NUT about it next week. Does anyone suggest another non-filling form to get protein? I'm concentrating on water but have been trying protein things also. I can't wait to eat real food. -

Cant Get In My Protein
mnm6282 replied to traceylynn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have the same problem. Try liquid whey protein, some call them protein bullets. One brand is New Whey Protein and it is ok. I mix mine with some water. Walmart has it in singles and in a box of six. My bariatric nurse said it is a good option if shakes are too filling and take all day to drink. They are 0 sugar also. It is much easier to sip 4 oz of liquid than 16 to20 of a thick shake that is gross after a while. Try the liquid protein and let me know, I like the grape but want to try the fruit punch next.
