  1. This may be a dumb question, and I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but I had my surgery a little over a year ago and I'm wondering if getting in a lot of protein is still a big priority, or if that becomes less important the further along you go? And if so, does anyone have any quick & easy (and especially cheap, I'm on a tight budget) ideas for getting in protein? After a year, I'm getting a little sick of the same few things I've stuck to and I'd like to change it up. I really did not like the protein powders that they recommended in the beginning, so that's not really an option for me. Thank you in advance!
  2. I had my surgery a little over a year ago, and I still get gassy, and I do believe a lot of it has to do with how much air you take in when you're eating. I just try to eat slowly and not gulp my food (or drink) down. I've also noticed that when I eat yogurt or drink milk, I get gassy. I've been wondering too if my stomach has changed now that it's smaller and no longer tolerates lactose as well as it used to, but I read a bit about lactose intolereance online and I don't think what I experience is severe enough to make me concerned about having developed the intolerance. If you do think your gas is severe enough, you should definitely ask your doctor the next time you see him/her, though I think, if anything, it could just be your stomach adjusting to the changes and food you're re-introducing to it.
