So I am just about one week out from surgery and i feel ok.However I am a bit of a hypochondriac. I get this pain in my left side thats really hurts. It comes and goes through out the day. I think it might be gas, but gas-x doesn't seem to work all that much. It is a sharp sudden pain and i need to stop and breathas it happens. it also happens when I eat. I am just such a worry wart. Its also hard to remember not to lift ten lbs. I picked up my laundry baskey to fold laundry and scared myself. I think im ok haha, Anyways I just want to know what i should be looking for if there is any problems signs or symptoms. My one week post op appointment is tomorrow and ill ask as well but I'd like hear from you all

Just some of the many pics and videos my lovely family and partner took of me! lol i was out of it and one point i said i felt like britney spears and that i wanted bbq sausage hahaha. The pain sucked at first, but as soon as I got settled in I began to feel good.

So I'm on my phase 2 full liquid diet and accidentally ate some pudding I thought that was on the list! I had my surgery Monday. I feel ok, but will I be ok?

Sitting here in the hospital bed I feel good. The nausea meds really work and I'm having some mild pain. Pain killers make me nauseous though. When I first awoke it was terrifying I had no clue what was happening and I was in pain, but after I got through it all was fine. I hate the catheter, I'm just peeing and not realizing it. when I walk I can feel it hanging and it freaks me out. My throat is sore also, but aside from the little things its not that bad. I had a nightmare the night before that doctors cut into my stomach and spiders came out, so when the time came I was freaking out. I'm so proud I got through it. After all these stressful months it finally came. So far worth it.

That is just so messed up that they showed that video. So unprofessional! I don't even have words. I'm sure it merits some sort of law breaking. I know how you feel I'm sure we have all had the people who put their two sense in and it's obnoxious. I appreciated the pro and cons people gave me in the beginning, but right before my big day?!? Come on ! I need positivity and support.

I'm prepared but getting very nervous for my surgery tomorrow at 9 am! !!

Getting nervous! I'm afraid of getting sick before my bug day, they told me that if I have broncitious or if I am sick I wont have the surgery. I work in daycare, so you can imagine how terrified I am. Any suggestions on staying healthy ive been oding vitamin c! Lol. My pre surgery liquid diet is for seven dsys and us coming up. How did the liquid diet go for you? I getting nervous ive never been put under- what was the pain like? I have a zillion thoughts going through my head

What a tangled web of lies! Ha jk! You know I was gonna keep it secret but I said F*** it and just told everyone at work up front to avoid lies and gossip!! I got a couple eye rolls and don't do its, but I'm doing this for me and not ashamed. Good luck And its no bodies business

I drink regularly and my surgery is Feb 4th I'm not looking forward to it but I'm going to give it up for the full 18months I was told I had too. Honestly you are putting your self at life threating risk of infection and stopping the healing process. Why even get the surgery if you cant dedicate yourself? No offence, I mean I love drinking and it would be hard because everyone does in my life. I look at like I have ko choice basically you are setting yourself up for. Failure. You should have even gotten sleeved. Not go be harsh I feel for uou- but you just got to be told how it is! Stop drinking!

I just had mine perfect as well I'm Feb 4th

So this weekend has been pretty darn sweet! I got a call friday that my insurance (aetna) approved my surgery and Feb 4th i will be sleeved and ready for my new life. My surgery will be at Abingtion Memorial Hospital and my surgeon will be Dr. Fernando Bonanni. Bonanni is such a funny guy I am glade I choose him! He makes me laugh every time i've been scared haha. I just had my sleep study done, which sucked total balls! excuse my language! but it was so umcomfortable and took me forever to fall asleep. I also just had my EGD now that was crazy! I have never been put to sleep before, so that was interesting. It has been a very busy yet awesome week and I can not wait to finally be sleeved!

Is anyone else scheduled for Feb 4th 2013 i want to go through this with you hahaha since I am some what scared. Also has anyone ever had Dr. FERNANDO B. BONANNI?
