How Do You Get In 1000 Calories
Threetimesacharm replied to Threetimesacharm's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Thank you so much for your response. I really am not feeling hungry during the day and am quiet satisfied with this amount. I have struggled to lose more weight and since recently having a de-fill have recommitted to this journey. I like my protein but really enjoy the veggies too. I will try to eat the 30z protein and that will help with my caloric intake. -

How Do You Get In 1000 Calories
Threetimesacharm replied to Threetimesacharm's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
this is what I had today: Protein shake for breakfast( I don't always have a shake) made with 110 calorie protein powder, 1 cup almond milk, 1/2 cup mixed berries Lunch: 2 oz chicken thigh, 1/2 cup broccoli with IT full fat caesar dressing Dinner: 2oz halibut with 1 slice tomato, 1/2 cup cauliflower rice with 1T butter and 1 oz cheddar cheese I find that I am satisfied with this amount of food and feel very good. I will probably have a tea with a little milk later on. -

Need A Mentor To Help Get Me Back On Track
Threetimesacharm replied to mommymary81's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I can totally relate to everything you said Mommymary. I lost 60 pounds and then learned all the ways around the band went back to old eating habits and for years did not lose weight. My band was actually too tight so I really couldn't eat the healthy stuff and like others was embarrassed to go into see the lapband doctor. Why are we embarrassed we paid alot of money for a great service, hold our heads up high and go and take the support that we are entitled too! I have recently had a small de-fill .5cc and am now doing great! Planning, eating slow, listening to my band, staying away from food triggers, using this site and having a goal in mind all things that are helping me. Put your self number one, if your husband is not behind you then put him on the back burner and forge ahead we are here for support and encouragement. You CAN do this............use the tool as needed to be successful!! -
The Psychology Of Size
Threetimesacharm replied to Sojourner's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A little off topic here but congratulations on your weight loss! Can you tell me how you were so successful in such a short period of time? How many calories are you eating a day? Do you snack? I am so struggling and on the fence as to are calories important and should I snack or just have three meals a day. thanks for any help you can provide -
The Psychology Of Size
Threetimesacharm replied to Sojourner's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What an interesting topic you post. I have noticed in many of the after, or getting to after, pictures that many are obviously wearing clothing many sizes too big. The clothes before were baggy and after too. I am not sure if it is a cost issue to buy new but all of the pics I saw were like that. Enjoy the new sizes you can get into, you deserve the satisfaction of becoming a smaller person and wearing a missy size! Congratulations you are a missy!! -
Lap Band Take 2, Fail Surgery #4 Success!!!! Now To Decide Whats Next!
Threetimesacharm replied to emialiaubri's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
first of all I would like to congratulate you on your 100 pound weight loss this is fantastic. I too worry about the long term life of my band. Maybe some other stomach surgery would have been better. Best of luck to you with number 3!! Just think you will be doing liquid/mushy/soft so hope for a great weight loss!! -
Regret?!
Threetimesacharm replied to nathansmommy1020's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
that sensation, tightness, lump in throat is the lapband. Are you drinking too fast? If you are on soft foods you need to eat very slowly, put your fork/spoon down after every bite and STOP eating when you feel this fullness. Remember why you had the surgery to lose weight and get ahold of your eating problems. It is not an easy road but stick to it and you will succeed. -
Do any of you eat like this?
Threetimesacharm replied to Rachel412's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
it sounds like you need a fill. you should not be able to eat that much(2 cups) even with a little restriction if you dont chew you can get stuck. You should contact your DR for an appt. -
Bandsters In Windsor, Ontario
Threetimesacharm replied to Threetimesacharm's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am looking to see if there is anyone in my area who would like to start say a coffee club to discuss their experiences with the lapband. There is not a need for me to post more on line if there is not anyone in this area. Are you from the windsor area? -
Hello, I am in windsor, ontario canada and am looking for other fellow lap band members who may want to support one another. I have been banded for 5 years and have not been fully successful.
