You can get a surgery that only uses one scar right down center(underneath) I had a breast lift and they used this method. You can't even see the scars.

It is probably a physchological thing. You can't eat so you want to feed everyone around you............It is not bad, just make sure that you don't eat it.

Pj's Or Nightgown For Hospital Stay?
Threetimesacharm replied to amykins's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wonder if anyone can answer my question about................underwear! Can you wear them during surgery? I could when I had my lapband. The one thing I will feel weird about is if I can not wear them. -

Nothing at McDonald's is healthy. We should never be going there and eating or drinking anything. It is pure garbage foul food! -

Dr. Oz On Tv Right Now Promoting Gastric Bipass Surgery
Threetimesacharm replied to NDN_RN's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think you may be jealous of his "not manly body". He is fit, slim and eats right!! What we all should be doing. -
Dr. Oz On Tv Right Now Promoting Gastric Bipass Surgery
Threetimesacharm replied to NDN_RN's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I totally agree with Kathy. I watched the show and do not believe Dr OZ would promote this if he did not believe in it. He has his reputation on line. The sleeve is a component of the bypass, whether he did or did not discuss it, I think that it is wonderful that he stands behind weight loss surgery. He has put the information out there for those who may be considering the surgery. He states that a very low percentage, I think it was 3, of people who qualify who actually get the surgery. Obesity has become an epidemic in America and I am glad the surgery is being discussed. -

Threetimesacharm replied to Hoping2BSleeved's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Hi lulugirl, I too need to have a revision from lapband to sleeve and was considering Garcia. If you see this how did it go? Were there complications removing the band? Thanks for any help you may provide I am very nervous to get it removed. -
Is The Band That Bad?
Threetimesacharm replied to SleeveandRNYchica's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
The sleeve, on its own, has not been around longer that the band, approximately 5 years. The complete surgery including re-routing that included the malabsorbtion portion. Doctors then found that success could be found without that portion and started to do just the sleeve portion. -
5 Weeks 1000Calories!
Threetimesacharm replied to TakeTwo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You also have to factor in what caloric needs your body has just to function not just exercise. So if your body needs say 1700 to maintain than any less calories, without exercise should mean a weight loss. -
Screw It! I'm Ready For This!
Threetimesacharm replied to DanaInNewOrleans's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am seriously considering this surgery and I can not wrap my head around how I can do this. How do you go from always thinking about food to not. Any advise can you give to someone contemplating the surgery? I can not even imagine what it would be like NOT to be so consumed with my size and losing weight all the time! -

Family Concerns
Threetimesacharm replied to joann852's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well yes there can be complications as it is a foreign body inside of you. Abuse of the band and from what I hear just faulty band/installation can contribute. There is risk with any surgery but with the band it is a contraption inside that can cause issues, have you thought about the sleeve? -
Chat Rooms, Anyone Use It?
Threetimesacharm replied to meyouus's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
I think the system shows anyone who is logged into lapbandtalk not necessarily chat. I did go into chat just now and saw 3 other people but noone was chatting. I think the idea of having a time to meet is great. Evenings are good for me too. -
Your stomach can be irritated and maybe inflamed so it can affect your restriction. Eat only your one cup of food that you know you can eat and you should see your restriction come back.
