I have in the past and lost 100 pounds with it. When I used them they had the palm kernel oil in the shake powder! Not sure if they still do but the shake was very good.

2.5 Weeks Out And Can't Eat More Than Three Bites Is This Normal?
Threetimesacharm replied to Auburngal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
yes it is normal. I have 4oz of shake for breakfast then 4oz for a snack. I also am drinking as much water as I can between my protein consumption. I think we are on our way to success! -
Pushing It?
Threetimesacharm replied to lisa.mccroskey@yahoo.com's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think at this point you should still be on full liquids, don't push it take it easy you are in this for the long haul. Protein shakes yogurt thinned creamy soups strained sf pudding sf jello soupy cream of wheat You will have the rest of your life to eat, let your stomach heal and be good to it. -
Orange Juice Is It Ok To Have 4 Day Post
Threetimesacharm replied to jentheyo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well if you are on clear liquids no. It is also very acidic so your stomach may react best to stick with apple juice for now. -
Vicious Cycle
Threetimesacharm replied to buforu21's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am no expert but maybe you need to be taking an antacid more frequently throughout the day. I am like you when my tummy is empty I feel a tad nauseous but I know I need to eat(in my case drink) I make one of my yummy shakes and take a sip and I start feeling better. Maybe have a shake in the morning to start you off, or a warm cup of water with lemon. I know at night when my tummy is empty I get the feeling again but just go to sleep and wake up to start another day. So try something to get your system started in the morning, shake, warm lemon water, herbal tea, or a liquid that you like. I wish you the best I hope it gets better. -
Band To Sleeve With Dr Garcia
Threetimesacharm replied to cadezma77's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I just had the band to sleeve revision with Dr Garcia on the 10th. I did not have an erosion or scar tissue. He did an amazing job I am so happy that my band is out. You will not be disappointed with him. He has done so many surgeries that he really knows what he is doing. -
Wieght Gain After 2 Months ?
Threetimesacharm replied to skinnycupcake13's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Did you have IV fluids in the hospital? This will definitely cause weight gain but it will come off. -

Dr Call Me ( Garcia)
Threetimesacharm replied to nurseghana's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I had my surgery with him on Sept 10th. He is absolutely a master at his craft. His nurses are very professional and no worries you will be well cared for. The wait for surgery must be tough though.................................... -
Mexico Octosleevers! Add Your Name, Date And Surgeon!
Threetimesacharm replied to zenoosh's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Zenoosh don't freak you will do great I have already had my revision with Dr Garcia on Sept 10th and he is awesome! The nurses will take good care of you. FYI: ask for a pillow top bed at the Marriot, I got one without and it was hard as a rock! -
I also do not think that you will have a problem changing your surgery date. In my opinion normally the deposit is not refunded if you change your mind against the surgery, but I could be wrong. Check with your coordinator, they will advise you.

Small Pains In Middle Of Chest
Threetimesacharm replied to Fiddleman's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Gallbladder is more to the right and radiates to the back. In the middle is your stomach. Could have been what you consumed. How severe was the pain? Gallbladder in my experience would last alot longer than 30 seconds. Could be hours of pain. -
Dr Garcia
Threetimesacharm replied to ready2bskinny's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I had surgery with Dr. Garcia on the 10th. I asked my coordinator, Alma, and I had a BMI of 36 so she said to do one week. I did 9 days instead and did not have to have the extra incision to hold up my liver. As the other poster said, if you can do it longer it will only benefit you in the long run. -
Skin Removal Surgery
Threetimesacharm replied to Looking Ahead's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Really a question for the surgeon but in my experience I had tummy and boobs at the same time. I have inquired about arms and legs too with a Costa Rican surgeon and he did say that he could do both at the same time. -
Post-Op: Really Confused On What To Have?
Threetimesacharm replied to Dubai's topic in Food and Nutrition
no fruits on full liquid. Fruits are also very high in sugar. Full liquid is soups(thinned), shakes, pudding, jello, all sugar free, soupy cream of wheat. I have been having shakes and soup, I don't like the sweetness of pudding or jello and would prefer to consume only foods with protein to help get that number up. -
From Band Ti Sleeve Same Day Surgery?
Threetimesacharm replied to freespirit63's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just had my revision done in Mexico on September 10th. I had the band for 5 years. The surgery went great up and walking an hour after returning to my room. It is definitely the best way to go. I would have hated to endure two surgeries. Best of luck to you. -
Your post op diet is totally different than your pre op. Agree with the poster you says you need to find a protein powder that you like. You will be consuming shakes for quite a while. You may want to get soups, yogurt, jello and pudding these you will also be consuming in the beginning.

Endoscopy And Colonoscopy Fearful
Threetimesacharm replied to Dee-Texas's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I only had the endoscopy and was so worried. It ended up being a breeze! They give you a sedative, put some spray in your mouth that you are told to swallow and presto you have no feeling of the scope at all. You'll do fine. -
Let Me Try That Again. Do People Really Eat Baby Food During The Soft Phase

Feel Like Im Losing It.. Help Please
Threetimesacharm replied to Joy1961's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't think the sleeve is to drastic. I had a revision on the 10th and the best thing that I could have done. The band is not forever and I believe that many over the years have complications and need it removed and it is also high maintenance. The sleeve is for life and no maintenance. Don't get me wrong it is a lifechanging surgery so you need to be prepared but in the long run the weight loss will overcome any obstacles. -
Let Me Try That Again. Do People Really Eat Baby Food During The Soft Phase
Threetimesacharm replied to Joy1961's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am going to differ with you here RN. I HAVE had my surgery I am on my full liquids stage. I can guarantee you that I will be at this stage for at least one more week. Some progress slower and may stay at the puree stage longer. It is quite inappropriate to speak of which you have not experienced yet...........just my two cents. -

New & Revision Is Scheduled!
Threetimesacharm replied to ashleytn's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I just had my revision surgery on September 10th. It is very different than the band. You literaly can not eat beyond your full point. Right now I am up to 4 oz of shake at a time. It really is a glorious feeling, and the thought of not being able to overeat again is wonderful I wish you all the best and no worries: you will do this with the band! -
Gonna Attempt Protein Shake Again...
Threetimesacharm replied to billyvmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So when you were consuming the yogurt and soup did you add protein? I am not getting all of my protein in and anything that I consume has to have protein in it or it is a waste to full my tummy on that.
