I Haven't Lost Anything In Almost 3 Weeks...
Threetimesacharm replied to going_down's topic in Food and Nutrition
I am so with you, been in a stall for 10 days. I too am doing the exact same things but mine started going from pureed to soft, same foods just not pureed. I pray every night that I will be less the next morning..............so far not working. Everyone says it will break but goodness how long do we have to suffer through this? -
Mourning My Beautiful Clothes
Threetimesacharm posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
As I many on this forum have said you go through clothes very quickly. I am now going through my closet pulled out too big clothes and it is half empty! I can't beleive the rate that your clothes become too big. I am mourning my beautiful high quality duds. For me this seems to be a very hard part, I loved dressing so all my lovely clothes, on to someone else!! -
Eating @ 1 Month, 1 Week Post Op
Threetimesacharm replied to mgsmith72's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
One other thing, you mentioned teaspoonfuls. When I put a portion in my mouth it is about a quarter of a teaspoon at a time, very little. Some sleevers use baby spoons to get the idea of eating very small portions. -
Eating @ 1 Month, 1 Week Post Op
Threetimesacharm replied to mgsmith72's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am at 36 days. I have not had this problem but am still on soft foods and still chew very well and eat slowly. Maybe this will help. Use a small plate and small utensils and concentrate on your chewing/eating when you do eat. I also am only having protein; no carbs or veggies(even soft ones) yet. -
Eating @ 1 Month, 1 Week Post Op
Threetimesacharm replied to mgsmith72's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What exactly is 3 or 4 spoonfuls? Are you measuring your food? I eat 4-5 small meals a day. Depending on what the food is anywhere from 2-4 ounces. I am not hungry with the exception sometimes first thing in the morning but you have to eat. You should also be drinking at least 64 ounces of water a day. -
Infected Incisions?
Threetimesacharm replied to CCCross's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like you have an infection. I did also in my largest incision. I took antibiotics for 2 weeks and was fine, healing nicely now. -
So I have been a little bit down the last couple of days due to a stall that I am in. I know that it will break and I will continue to lose but it is hard when you are in one(those who have been there can sympathize). Anyway having lost 30 pounds my clothes are getting big so I went out today and bought a few more items that fit(size 14 pants if you can imagine). So when I came home I had a few pairs of pants in my closet that I have been waiting to get into. Well guess what they ALL fit, and one pair is already a little big!! I am so thrilled!! Everybody talks about losing inches and they are right! I exercise everyday too and I am sure that has helped. To all my sleeve buddies, don't give up, keep pushing along............and don't forget to try on any smaller clothes you have; you don't want to miss out wearing them!! CHEERS!

Testing Before Going To Mexico
Threetimesacharm replied to LezzieLez's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I didn't have tests done before going for surgery in Mexico, but trust me they are VERY thorough and do all the possible tests needed to make sure you are okay to proceed with the surgery. I had Dr. Garcia also. If you can get it done for free in the U.S. go ahead, but I say that it is not necessary. -
1 Month Out And I Stalled Already?
Threetimesacharm replied to Jenny881's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I so feel your pain. I stalled at 3 weeks and am currently stalled for 9 days. Everyone says that it will break and that we will continue to lose but right now it doesn't feel that way. It is so discouraging, even if I could lose a pound or two I would feel much better. I too hope that it ends soon, it really brings my mood down. -
Lap Band Or Sleeve
Threetimesacharm replied to Cassie1/21's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
there are many posts on this topic under "band to sleeve" you may want to check there. I had a revision on September 10th and it was the best decision I every made. I wouldn't recommend the band at all, it is not a forever and I believe will have to be removed eventually. -

One Week Out?...not Full Off Oatmeal!
Threetimesacharm replied to 052407's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
eating protein will give you more of a sense of fullness, carbs will not, only make you want more. If you are on your full liquids stage eat more thinned soups, yogurt, protein shakes. -
Who Are The Failures At This Surgery?
Threetimesacharm replied to MrsM's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Monica not sure what type of response you are looking for. Obviously people who are overweight eat too much for a variety of reasons: emotional, boredom, socially, family wise. You have to find out what your triggers are and work to get them corrected. I work on mine EVERY day and some days it is not so easy..............that's when I spend extra time on this site. -
How Much Are You Eating!?
Threetimesacharm replied to vonego82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
they say by 6 months you should be able to eat a cup of food. I can eat 4 oz of cottage cheese but only 2oz of chicken. I am out 35 days. -
What Am I Thinking?!
Threetimesacharm replied to Look@meitsEmily's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Take a deep breath, you can do this! I felt the same way sitting in a Mexican hospital by myself thinking what am I doing! It turned out to be the best decision. You will LOVE your sleeve I promise!! I wish you well -
Puree Diet...how Much Should I Consume?
Threetimesacharm replied to LadyK's topic in Food and Nutrition
I started with 2oz of pureed food and depending on what it was could take in 4oz. I had only one portein shake a day and the rest of my protein came from food. -

Eating Too Much?
Threetimesacharm replied to sleevedprissy1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
How far out are you? How much do you eat? Yes different foods fill me up differently, meaning some I can eat more of than others. 4 ounces compared to 2 ounces. -
Ahhhh Why Am I So Hungry!
Threetimesacharm replied to MommaMeg01's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well firstly you are not starving. The hunger you have is probably head hunger. Slow down and enjoy your full liquids: shakes, yogurt, pudding, jello, cream soups. You will be moving on sooner than you think. You want to give your tummy time to heal and not rush it. Occupy your self with other non-food related things that you like to do, go for a walk. Hang in there, you will do this. -
