Can Anyone Define "not Tolerate" For Me?
Threetimesacharm replied to mezanne1401's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes it is my advise to progress slowly. Don't rush each phase. Chew well and eat slowly. -
When Someone Says, "-36Lbs Pre Op....."
Threetimesacharm replied to jodimc's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
yes it depends on the person. Some have to diet for 6 months before their surgery. Some do a pre-op diet from about 1 week to 3 weeks. I did a 9 day pre-op diet and lost 9 pounds. So pre-op includes any weight lost before surgery, in any fashion. -
Dr. Fernando Garcia
Threetimesacharm replied to Jarrod1997's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I personally did not have a good experience with ready4achange but others have. I found that they are a new company, old jalopy vehicles, poor service when I needed them at the hotel. Alighterme is another option and when I was there they were VERY helpful to me. -
Surgical Experiences With Vgs Vs Band?
Threetimesacharm replied to buttrfli1's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well for me neither was painful. I had no nausea with either. I also did not have much pain with VSG but a little more than LB from what I remember. No worries! -

Threetimesacharm replied to AmandaRaeLeo's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery

Weight Stall :(
Threetimesacharm replied to Angie was Sleeved 08/31/12's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Why are you not able to get in all of your protein? Are you still having one shake a day? I have one shake a day at 31 grams and it more than helps me get in 80 grams of protein. Make sure you are eating high protein foods: chicken, fish, yogurt. -
Will The Nausea Ever Stop?
Threetimesacharm replied to okstate2000's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
make sure that you are constantly sipping your water. Dehydration can make you sick. Sip, sip, sip water and another other liquid you are allowed. -
Is There A Such Thing As Too Few Carbs?
Threetimesacharm replied to thehappycat's topic in Food and Nutrition
No I don't think it is. I usually get around 20 grams also. -
Well I would probably ask your doctor but I say yes to exercise but no to getting kicked in the stomach, ouch!

Plastics

We really can't tell you what to get, it depends on what you need. Do you need implants or just a lift? -
Confuse Should We Snack Or Not Snack In Between The Three Hour Period?
Threetimesacharm replied to Ms.Rosie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I eat 5-6 small meals a day. Normally I have 2 ounces of solid protein at a meal. Occassionally 3 ounces. So it is not snacking but an actual planned meal every 3 hours. I am just over 7 weeks out. -
Oh how fantastic 'ONEDERLAND"!!!!!!! You did it!!!! You are an inspiration. I can't wait to join you in onederland!!!!!! It must be spectacular

Need Encouragment!
Threetimesacharm replied to rockafam's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't know if I can offer advise but my story is similar. I started out gung whow for three weeks then hit a stall for 10 days and it has been slow going from there. I eat 600-800 calories a day and am only having protein with what ever carbs in food(yogurt). I exercise every day drink at least 64 ounces of water. I have at least 40 more pounds to lose and I thought also that I would be losing a little faster. I can only asssume that my metabolism is so low now that I need much fewer calories to maintain. I don't know what another explanation could be. Hormonal is the other side, many say their hormones are awack in the beginning, maybe this is playing a part to. All I know is that we have to keep doing what we are doing and not give up or give in. Keep eating healthy, exercising, drinking water, tracking food/erercise; with this we can only succeed. If we ask ourselves in 6 months from now how we are doing I am sure we will say that we have lost XXXXX amount of weight and feel great!! I think that is what it is all about! Hang in there we CAN do this!! -
Why I Dont Feel Full
Threetimesacharm replied to Mslnzee2010's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Like the other poster said you shouldn't be feeling "full" just a satisfied feeling. If you are full you have eaten too much you have to listen to your body and learn to hear the triggers for, I've had enough. Burping, coughing, hiccups just some of the things people experience. For some of us we know just when to stop. -
Will I Ever Lose This Weight?
Threetimesacharm replied to tabbymonroe's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I don't understand what you are asking, are you in a stall? What time frame did it take you to lose this amount? How much do you eat? What do you eat? Thanks this will help with answers -
Feel Like I Made A Mistake
Threetimesacharm replied to sleeve_sister's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Two weeks out I was still on full liquids. Some can not tolerate pureed so quickly. Stick with protein shakes, soup and water. If I wasn't having shake I was sipping my water. Don't rush into foods so quick you will have the rest of your life to eat. -
My Band To Sleeve Journey
Threetimesacharm replied to grammylew's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my revision on September 10th. The beauty of the sleeve is that you will probably be able to eat anything but in very very small portions. You still have to make the right food choices, not graze all day and drink your water. Best wishes. -
Diaherria Make It Stop!
Threetimesacharm replied to VitaleEM's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When on pureed you may want to stick with gentle foods: cottage cheese, tuna, soft fish, yogurt, pureed beans, canned meats. Foods made with not alot of ingredients and spices. For alot of patients eggs do not agree with them right away. -
Surgery Through A *lighter Me* And Dr F. Garcia 20
Threetimesacharm replied to muffintop's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Wow thank you for this informative post. I bet that because they were so busy they didn't have time for everyone. When I was there on September 10th with ready4achange it was the exact opposite. They were more accomodating than my group and even stopped to help me out. I know when I booked my surgery I asked how many for that day; there were 4 surgeries. I thought 4 were alot but I guess not. My surgery with Dr Garcia was flawless and would do it again. I didn't have any pain or gas so I have no complaints. -

What Are "milk Based Soups"?
Threetimesacharm replied to fgotr121's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also ate tomato soup just about everyday during that phase, loved it and had no issues. I used soy milk to make it with lots of protein. I think that the canned soups are not acidic. -
