Real Reviews?
Threetimesacharm replied to coolmamma73's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I too am real and had my revision surgery with Dr Garcia on September 10th. He is an amazingly skilled surgeon and you can't go wrong with him. No worries, best of luck. -
Why I Feel Food Stuck On Mu Chest?
Threetimesacharm replied to mggonzal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It has to do with the small size of your stomach and that the stretchy part of your stomach is gone. When full in the stomach the top of your stomach at the esophogus is where you feel the pressure, say at your breast bone. -
The Stuck Feeling In Your Chest
Threetimesacharm replied to healthiermom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are eating too much too fast. Try what Holly 5.3 is doing, small spoons, small bites. Weigh or measure out all of your food all of the time. -
Why Is Meat Making Me Sick?
Threetimesacharm replied to wendy88's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It is too early for beef or pork. I make my chicken thighs in the crock pot and eat very small bites and chew alot. I didn't eat chicken until week 8. -
When Do People Notice?
Threetimesacharm replied to sramos89's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think your "friend" is an idiot, how could she not notice that you lost two sizes. I am very sorry for you, pay her no mind. -
Well, It Didn't Happen....
Threetimesacharm replied to JerseyGirl68's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am confused, if you have no cardiac issues then why did your BP shoot up? Just asking. BTW I did not have pain after my revision, lot more manipulating. Don't listen to what others say, everyone is different. You will be fine with your VSG. Good Luck. -

Why Is Meat Making Me Sick?
Threetimesacharm replied to wendy88's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
How far out are you? No one can answer without knowing this. Most can not eat steak for quite a while and chicken unless it is cooked soft can be a problem too. -

Threetimesacharm replied to TheLCSpencer's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just to correct you it is VSG - vertical sleeve gastrectomy. I had my surgery with Dr Garcia: an amazingly skilled surgeon on Tijuana. You may want to check him out a bit: he has a great following. -
Increasing Carbs
Threetimesacharm replied to SkinnyMinnie2Be's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are not getting in nearly enough protein: you should be getting 60-80 grams a day. Don't worry so much about carbs, you should be concerned about upping your protein. Fish, seafood, chicken, yougurt, cottage cheese, cheese, soft meats. -
While chewing you are sucking air into your tummy and creating stomach juices. It really isn't that bad I had the lapband and haven't had gum in over 5 years, you won't miss it.

Vitamins=Nausea
Threetimesacharm replied to mggonzal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You know it is funny that you mention this. I started taking a calcium and acid reducer pill the last couple of days and I was nauseous also. I was worried something was wrong, but you may be right, it could be the pills. So today I am taking them with food and splitting them up during the day, so far so good. -

Your stomach may be gurgling, it just went through major trauma, but it is most unlikely hunger. -

'restriction?'
Threetimesacharm replied to doxieville's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Restriction is the feeling you have of being satisfied. Very commonly used for lapband surgery as the band causes the restriction to make you feel full. -

Dr. Garcia Upper Gi?
Threetimesacharm replied to Mrsdw206's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I did have a small stomach hernia that he repaired during surgery but did not charge me extra. You never know what could happen so maybe it is good to be prepared. You can also use your credit card if needed. -
Should I Weigh Myself Today?
Threetimesacharm replied to thehappycat's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would definitely weigh. It has been one month since your last weigh. -
Fruit In Protein Drink.
Threetimesacharm replied to akwitham72's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Most fruit is high in carbs and not recommended. Some are also fibrous and seedy. Ask your NUT, but I don't think that most recommend fruit. It should be protein, veggies, then carbs if you can fit any in. -
Question About Red Meat & Pork
Threetimesacharm replied to KLNorrod's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Any ground meats should be fine 7 weeks or more. They are all soft and easy to eat. Both beef and pork are tougher meats and may be hard to digest. I am just over 8 weeks and am afraid to eat beef, thought of maybe cooking it in the slow cooker. -
Dr. Garcia Upper Gi?
Threetimesacharm replied to Mrsdw206's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Now from what I remember the upper GI is very inexpensive like $50.00. I had an endoscopy and it was $300.00. I would have it done in Mexico as it is very easy and convenient. Call your coordinator and find out how much they are going to charge you.
