You probably had the surgery like I did so I wouldn't gain back any weight lost with the band. I have gone on and lost 45 pounds since my surgery, woohoo!! You did the right thing don't second guess yourself. You want your weight loss to be forever, so the sleeve was the best choice. You will feel better, one day at a time!

Drama. Drama. Who's Got The Drama?
Threetimesacharm replied to AmandaRaeLeo's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
OP, if you are not okay with all the drama...................then don't read it. Seems to me to be for entertainment purposes only!! -
Lopez/pv, Garcia/tj. ?
Threetimesacharm replied to amytug's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I think you should really be concerned about the surgeon you pick and his credentials and history with this surgery. Where/how far/ how long a flight will mean nothing if you are dead!! Just saying it doesn't matter how long your flight is you can get a blood clot on a one hour flight or a 10 hour flight: no difference. -
There are so many posts already about him. You should review them. Revision September 10th. No issues no complications no pain no gas. He is an amazingly skilled surgeon. Enough said

Dr. Ortiz (Or, Dr. Jesús Elías Ortiz Gómez)?
Threetimesacharm replied to icon23's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Well he seems to be a very new surgeon with not many surgeries under his belt. For peace of mind I would go with Dr Garcia: he has many years experience and has completed thousands of successful surgeries. -

Does Starvation Mode Really Matter?
Threetimesacharm replied to wendy88's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
If you misread my post I did not say anything about it being good. Sleevers are all in starvation mode consuming so few calories, that is all the point that I made. I am using MY TOOL fantastically!!!! -
This Is A Sample Menu Week For Me Through Kaiser

Seems there is lots of salad options and higher carbs. Some of us are not having salad for months as they add bulk without the protein. Hope that it is working for you. -
Wish I Could Puke Like A Normal Person
Threetimesacharm replied to Justine13's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Justine get it together girl!! Look you can do this. We have been sleeved about the same time. Get back on track, write down what you eat, measure everything you eat, no more than 2 ounces max at a time. No eating after 8:00pm. No more that 6- 2 ounce meals a day. Set a goal each month for weight loss and track it. What do you want to weigh by December 31st? You got this!!!!!!! -
Yes it gets better but make sure you eat slowly, little bits at a time. Small bowls, measure out your food small forks/spoons.
-
Oh how wonderful can't wait to join you in "onederland". Congratulations!!

Threetimesacharm replied to Goodgonebad's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
40 pounds is a TON of weight to lose in one month. It only makes sense that you will slow down temporarily at some point. Be happy with your loss so far and keep on keeping on!! You will lose it all! -
I Don't Know If It Is Normal
Threetimesacharm replied to mezanne1401's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I know that I burped alot in the beginning right out of recovery. It does sound like gas. For some cold water is just too cold, try warm or hotter water maybe with flavouring in it. Hot herbal tea might help too. -
Please Help Me
Threetimesacharm replied to soccermom1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry to hear you are not doing well. I hope that the doctor thinks you are okay to be home. Try different temperatures of water cold, warm, hot. Some will go down better than others. Try adding flavour to your water this may help too. Maybe a hot herbal tea.
