Sounds like you may need an endoscopy to see what is going on. -
What Does Goal Look Like For You?
Threetimesacharm replied to Fiddleman's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well for me I have never been under 200 pounds for much longer than on my way up. I would like to be 180 pounds. This is still considered overweight on BMI charts but for me I want a weight that I can maintain. I would probably wear a size 8/10 at this weight and this is enough for me. As of yesterday I currently weigh 209.8 pounds. WOW I can do it!! -
Sometimes I Hate Food :(
Threetimesacharm replied to suzjag's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
OP what do you consider "harsher realities" of the sleeve surgery. Did you not research first and get all the information needed. It is I guess unfortunate that your eating habits will be changed permanently for the rest of your life. There is no turning back now. Try to get back on track with your eating plan and realize that this is it for you for the rest of your life. I know it can be hard but look at the rewards it will bring you. I wish you the best, you can do it! -
Any Revisioners Hungry After Being Sleeved?
Threetimesacharm replied to timetobefree's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Interesting that you brought this up. I actually think I was hungrier, well or able to eat more in the beginning than now. All of a sudden I am full on two ounces and don't need a snack in three hours. I bet that you have something there. Don't worry it will get better and you will love your sleeve; the band, yuck!!! -

Well you might not be able to "knock it down" but you will be able to drink a tall glass full. -

Questions
Threetimesacharm replied to Sharonisshrinking's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree that you shouldn't even be thinking of having any kind of ice cream or frozen yogurt, I say until you reach goal. It is not a protein food and you could start on the slippery slope of getting into your old eating habits. Get yourself on the right track and stay there. You can do it. -
Is 4 ounces of yogurt weighed the same as 4 ounces measured in a cup? I always measure in a half cup measure my yogurt.

What Are You Eating Tomorrow?
Threetimesacharm replied to sleeve_sister's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To the OP, make sure that your turkey is moist say the thigh meat. Turkey can be dry or drier and you don't want to spoil thanksgiving by getting sick. Put a little gravy on it and enjoy. Some food for thought: those of us new sleevers, you will have many, many more thanksgivings to enjoy, food included: if you want to stay on track eat small amounts and don't go all gusto on non program foods(pies, stuffing, cakes). Happy Thanksgiving!! -

Can I See Meals/portion Sizes Please?
Threetimesacharm replied to amytug's topic in Food and Nutrition
Why not measure out a portion you are eating now and put on a saucer: 2 ounces meat-chicken, tuna, fish of any kind 1/4 cup cottage cheese one slice deli meat 2 T veggie of your choice 1 scrambled egg one cheese string one babybel cheese I think you will get the idea. When you do post the pictures for the rest of us to see. -
I think that some wear their clothing baggy when they are larger. So what happens as you start losing weight is you don't see the changes because your clothes are baggy and always were. I like to wear my clothes form fitting, always have. During my weight loss I really notice my clothing size changes as even a little bit will show up in my clothes. Try not to by stretchy stuff, buy pants with zippers and close fitting tops; you will for sure notice the changes!! I am actually down 4 sizes from a tight 18 to a 12!! Woohoo!! I have lost 48 pounds so far.

Seriously Now, What Do I Need Nut For?
Threetimesacharm replied to SweetSaso's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had my surgery in Mexico and received a very detailed nutrition plan. They are available to me via email/phone but if you are dedicated and follow your plan you should be fine. Just follow up with bloodwork at your PCP to make sure all of your levels are okay. I don't think you need to waste your money on a NUT. As others have said you can find lots of information here and even others eating programs, so you can pick and choose. -
My Month 11 Update - Down Nearly 125#
Threetimesacharm replied to CowgirlJane's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Cowgirljane you look absolutely fantastic!! What an inspirational post. Sounds so much like me I too had a lapband and don't see the thinner me until I take a picture, weird eh!! I am 48 too but think I actually look younger: fresh, clear skin, smoothed out wrinkles(not puffed out from fat). I really just want to enjoy the ride and see where it takes me!! Thank you -

Any Long Time Sleevers Out There?
Threetimesacharm replied to p77tmey's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
To the O.P. Don't they say that the majority will lose between 60-70% of the weight they need to lose? Wow, I think that you have done that, congratulations!! -
Yes you will have a scar forever. Depending how you heal and the abilities of the surgeon it may be less or more visible.

You will do great, flying colors!! Looking to see you on the loser's bench!! -
Oh Good for you, I totally understand the feeling. I have so many fat pants now and can not believe that I am fitting into all of my thinner pants; some are even too big. As we get older it is all relative isn't it?

What Are U Eating 3-4 Months Out
Threetimesacharm replied to sexy_sleevegirl's topic in Food and Nutrition
High protein foods: cottage cheese, cheese, tuna, haddock, salmon, chicken, turkey, chili, meatballs, greek yogurt, shakes with high protein soy milk. I also love roasted veggies: broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, red peppers, rutabaga, green beans, asparagus these keep well in the fridge and you can just take out a portion as needed. I tend to eat these as one of my snacks, delish!! -
Plateau And Weight Gain
Threetimesacharm replied to VitaleEM's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The same thing happened to me. What I found was I was eating too many calories. I was having 6 small meals a day and found that I really didn't need them all. I now stay around 600-700 calories and actually my hunger has DECREASED. I am losing weight steadily and couldn't be happier. I want to make sure I can get off as much weight as I can in the first 6 months, when they say it is the easiest. I also track daily my food intake and find this helpful. Give it a try, you have nothing to lose but weight!! -
In one can of sardines, 108 grams, protein 16 grams, 420 grams sodium not bad for a canned food. All fish has sodium in them.
