Hgh Versus Sleeve
Threetimesacharm replied to Fiddleman's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
HGH does not change hormone levels. It mimicks pregnancy hormones to have your body burn more calories. You also only eat 500 calories a day. There also is controversy over what method works best: shots or drops. I have done a round and it was not fun. I felt weak, hungry, moody, grumpy for two weeks. It is very strict and you can not deviate from the food plan or you will gain or not lose weight. I did keep off half of what I had lost before I got the sleeve. -

Post Op: What Do You Track (If Anything) When You Eat?
Threetimesacharm replied to Strangefruit's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I am 12 weeks today and track everything I eat. I track calories, protein and if I have a carb food then I will track that too. You would be surprised how many calories and carbs foods have so if you don't see it written down you could be consuming too many of either. I believe this is what makes me successful and I plan to track for a long time. I also measure/weigh everything that I eat. How else will you know how much it is, eyeball method doesn't work. -

Because I Cant Figure Out To Respond To Those Who Have Responded To My Post......
Threetimesacharm replied to mendymayhem's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
From what I understand it is not cured but like in remission. I have heard that years down the road your sugars could rise again. Why this is, I don't know, it really does not make sense to me if you still follow a healthy eating plan. -
Drink Only 1Oz. Every 15 Min? Why?
Threetimesacharm replied to Kerinilla's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sip, sip, sipping is the way to go! If you feel fine no worries. The Dr just does not want anyone to start drinking too fast and causing pain. Sounds like you are doing great. -
My Last Day Of Eating For A Long Time!
Threetimesacharm commented on SerendipityHappens's blog entry in SerendipityHappens' Blog
I wish you all the best. I have really enjoyed reading your posts. Just take it one day at a time; sometimes it may be one hour at a time. Remember the first few days will be the hardest, so find things to keep you busy and not think of food!! -
Is The Gastric Sleeve Better Or The Balloon?
Threetimesacharm replied to Tina87's topic in Gastric Balloon Forum
It is available in Canada and is promoted by saying that you lose 60 pounds in 6 months and then they remove it. -
8 Months Out N Stalled For 5 Months!
Threetimesacharm replied to gwynne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just looked at your weight and BMI. You now are at a normal weight, it may be that this is the weight you need to be at. A BMI of 18 seems pretty low. -
8 Months Out N Stalled For 5 Months!
Threetimesacharm replied to gwynne's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow unbelievable, 5 months!! Have you tried different things in those 5 months? As suggested VLCarb is good, I find 500-700 calories is where I need to be to lose weight. Drink all of your water everyday. -
Upper Stomach Swelling With A Band?
Threetimesacharm replied to freespirit63's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think you should post this question on LBT. Having had a revision though I know that due to constant overeating yes your stomach above the band can swell or stretch; when you have the VSG you don't have the band so you will not have this portion to swell. -
Bored With The Same Food...
Threetimesacharm replied to sleeve_sister's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Why can't you have yogurt or cheese, these are both soft foods. Try putting your meats in the crock pot and cooking: ground chicken, turkey, chicken thighs. Cottage cheese, morningstar farms foods, Boca meatless burgers, fish(all kinds). -
Please help me to understand: you had a leak which can lead to death. I am happy to hear that it is healed. Did this not SCARE you enough not to indulge in forbidden foods? Soda and breads. This type of behaviour can kill you........please go back to why you had the surgery in the first place don't treat it like it is nothing. Your weight loss is fantastic and I am sure you have a lot more to lose, please continue wisely. All the best

You look absolutely amazing, like a new woman. You deserve it!!

Greek yogurt is NOT too high in carbs. Obviously you won't be eating other high calorie carbs i.e. breads, pasta. Here are the stats on 0% Oikos Greek plain yogurt: 3/4 cup - 100 calories Carbs - 7 grams Protein - 18 grams Sounds perfect to me. Go ahead and indulge in some greek yogurt! I like to add a little of sugar free jam to mine, delish!

Yes this sounds better than "poop"

Cosmetic Questions For Post Weight Loss Phase
Threetimesacharm replied to Fiddleman's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Go for any and all of it if you and your wife are on the same page. There is nothing wrong with improving how you feel about yourself. BTW it is nonsense to wait on the plastic surgery, you are getting the skin removed, no need to wait for it to shrink. Go ahead and enjoy!! -
Protien Drinks Are To Sweet. They Make Me Nauseated
Threetimesacharm replied to joannaviviana's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I have found that the powders are less sweet than the premade. You may have to try another brand to see if it may be less sweet. I don't think there is a way to lessen the sweet unless you ad more liquid. -
At the rate that the obese are getting WLS I think this would be a success!! Nice dream!!

So Want A Soda
Threetimesacharm replied to mbabercrombie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Two things: You don't want a soda(really ever again)Thiink of the crap that is in it, expecially diet. The carbonation will cause swelling and pain in your stomach. -
Sounds like a plan. Don't lose anymore weight until you are approved. Then you can go gang-busters!! Good Luck.
