gained 3 pounds...very discouraged
Threetimesacharm replied to Kristi64's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How about cottage cheese, soft fish(tuna), egg(finely ground up), canned meats(chicken, corned beef). You need to get some protein in too. -
Just curious!
Threetimesacharm replied to SweetSaso's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Height also comes to play. Now I am not your height, 5'10" and wear a size 12/14 and I weigh 201.2 pounds. So it does depend on height and how your weight is carried. -
You Know You Were Fat When...
Threetimesacharm replied to Mckate's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Funny that you say this Iggy. I walk my dogs around a lake everyday and often encounter my neighbours. One day an elderly neighbour I had stopped to talk to started to look quizzically at me and said, " Did you change your hair, did you change the color"? She couldn't figure out what was different. I didn't tell her that I had lost 55 pounds!! -
Not able to stop loosing weight ?
Threetimesacharm replied to coltonwade's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think you all are missing my point. Can you seriously say that a previously fat person does not know how to stop losing weight? I find this utterly ridiculous. Yes eat higher calorie foods(because we can't eat more quantity) and yes eat slider foods(shakes:high calorie, crackers, more carbs). -

Today 203 pounds -
I wonder if anyone else has had overwhelming feelings of emotions as they progress with their weightloss. I am 3 pounds away from being under 200 pounds. I know that this will be monumentous for me but I find that my emotions are so out of control the last week or so. I am happy, sad, teary, joyful. I know it is not hormones; do you think it has to do with the change I am going through with weight loss? My guess is yes just wondered if anyone else has gone/went through the same.

Just Wanted To Share...and Get Your Thoughts.

At first I looked and thought, yah a drive through. Then I saw it a person in a wheelchair. I agree with the other poster but I am not sure why the don't ask him to come inside the restaurant. All restaurants have to be wheelchair accessible so I think that this would be more appropriate. -
Three Weeks Out And Hurts Like Hell To Swallow
Threetimesacharm replied to chum's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
If it hurts to swallow it sounds like you have a throat infection, could this be it? I guess if you are eating a teaspoon of food at a time(this is too much should be about a quarter of that) this could probably be this feeling. What kind of solids are you eating? You should be on pureed or mushee at this stage. You also need to chew very well. Don't rush the process it will/could only get you sick. Yes swelling can be an issue, it can take 6-8 weeks to be fully healed. You have had major surgery to your stomach, slow down and follow your doctors orders(hope you have some). Maybe you should be emailing your doctor and/or following the food plan that they gave you. Good luck. -
Hey Sil, I find that I still have to have one protein shake a day to get all my protein every day. I eat two ounces of my protein at each meal and one snack a day. I then normally am around 70-80 grams a day.

Wow how incredible! You must feel on top of the world!! You so deserve it, congrats!!

So sorry to hear about your hair loss. May I ask why you can't eat meat? Is it because it is to tough? I suggest using your crock pot. I put all of my meats in a crock pot and they are cooked wonderfully soft and delicious! Chicken thighs, ground turkey/chicken. Try cottage cheese very high in protein. Fish also is very high and low calories.

OMG it is so easy you don't feel a thing. They give you a sedative and numb your throat. It is over before you know it. No worries.

At 800 Cals Are You Losing Weight
Threetimesacharm replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Your body also needs a set amount of calories just to survive(function). So let's say you need 1500 calories and are consuming 700 calories. This is a deficit of 800 calories which your body will then use fat/muscle stores to make up the difference. So you can lose weight without exercise. Exercise helps to keep your heart strong, increase metabolism and gives a greater overall sense of well being. -

Enough Is Enough!
Threetimesacharm replied to mendymayhem's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
So for me when I stalled I know that my body was struggling with what it was going through. I re-evaluated what I was doing. I found I was eating too much: I cut back to 600-700 calories and one snack three meals a day. I have always been exercising(walking) and I didn't change this. The scale is DEFINITELY your friend. I beleive if you weigh yourself regularly you keep on top of your weight loss(or not). You can make adjustments if it slows or you gain. Keep in mind also processed foods, they have alot of sodium and can slow down weight loss. Try to consume more foods that you prepare rather than pre-made. -
Constant Grazing...is It A Problem?
Threetimesacharm replied to WLTrainee's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
you need to refocus and set out an eating plan. Write down and plan your meals: if you are doing 6 small meals then write them down and don't deviate from it. Listen to your body find other things to do besides eat. Be more in control of what you are eating and you should find that you will possibly even eat less. This early on I don't think you should be eating chocolate, you are in this to lose weight eating chocolate is an old/bad habit. Good luck. -
