    depress......just lost my job!

Look hang in there. I have been actively searching for employment for over a year! My good news is I just got a job offer today!! What I am saying is that even in this darkness there will be light to come. Take a deep breath, enjoy the holidays and your loved ones. Jump in head first on January 2 into the job search, it will happen for you too, just don't give up. All the best

    Boy did I mess up!

I agree with Ms skinniness, it is your home you need to take charge and control over your life. Tell your family that no foods such as cookies are aloud in your house, plain and simple. This is the time you need to start doing for yourself, the surgery was the first step. Stay away from the cookies. No one said you had to sit with them while they ate a big dinner; only you. Go into another room, come search on VST, watch TV, if they don't understand than they really are not supportive or loving of you; now are they?

Thank you for sharing the pictures. I wish you the speediest recovery!!
  4. Gastric Bypass is another WLS.
  5. Take your vitamins and KEEP weighing. It is very good to know where you are at in case you need to adjust your routine(Like in this case). Keep drinking your water and the weight will move. During my three week stall I gained 3 pounds and thought WTF!! I now stick to 600-700 calories and low carb, woohoo!! Keep going, no worries, you can do this!!

Thank you for the round of applause. What I don't understand is the lack of support from your family. Did you husband not understand the seriousness of your surgery and how strict your eating must be for quite a while? What is he doing making lasagna 3 weeks out, I find this to be a very inconsiderate and selfish act. To the poster making manicotti, try waiting till a few more months to make dishes that a) you can eat too or won't be tempted by. I am as priviledged to make my opinion and feel that you need to be in more control of your surroundings speak up dear lady!!!!
  7. Morningstar farms frozen soy products are delicious. Cheese is not too high in carbs as compared to legumes.

    Must.Stop.Weighing.Myself.

I am 14 weeks out today and disagree with not weighing daily or every couple of days. Particulary in the weight loss phase I think it is important to see how your weight loss is going. If you start to gain you may need to tweek your eating/exercise plan. It also keeps you motivated to continue on a healthy eating plan. I am keeping in mind the first 6 months; I want to do the best I can and lose the most that I can during this time.
  9. Yes you did ruin everything!! If you are into drama this is true otherwise; get a grip and move on. Do not continue on this path. Stick to your weight loss eating plan and trudge forward!! You can do this!!

6 months post op and oh so very stalled

I am so sorry to hear about your predicament. You have done a fantastic job losing 100 pounds but you are not done yet. You need to buckle down and get back to basics: protein, little veggie, no carbs and water. You need to track and make a plan for yourself: you have done this before so you can do it again. You must want to get to goal!! Plan out your food for the day, also start a list of things you can do instead of eating; clean out a closet, read a book, paint your nails, go for a nice hot bath. You need to stick with your plan to be successful. I know that this is hard but you have come too far to give up now. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!

    Paying Out of Pocket

You would get what is called a Bank Draft payable to the Doctor for the remaining amount owing.

    Vertical Sleeve 15 months

How much more do you have to lose? How much/what do you eat? Do you exercise? Do you drink water? All of this information in needed in order to provide you with a relative answer.
  18. Back to the original OP's question. Yes it can be the milk, I drank lactaid all the time before surgery but after I could not. I am at 14 weeks and considering trying it again. I would leave off the milk, I don't believe that tylenol would do that to you.

    Having issue wih meat

I do not put chicken breast in the crock pot but use thighs instead. Here is a delicious though weird ingredient chicken recipe. Chicken Adobo(philipino dish) equal amounts of light soy sauce and vinegar also lots of garlic. cover chicken in crock pot and simmer.

I am already at 197.6 this just gets better and better everyday!!!
  22. Threetimesacharm

Am I making the right choice?

He only charged me $500.00 extra for the revision. I think was a great cost! I paid $4700.00 for the sleeve $500.00 for the revision part $300.00 for an endoscopy Total $5500.00 what a deal!!
  23. Are you a vegetarian? This may be a culprit due to the high carb intake you would have.
