Cheated and very scared/emotional
Threetimesacharm replied to TXGIRL80's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I whole heartedly agree with iggychic. Why the #$%^* did you get the surgery? I absolutely do not understand how you can do this. Stay away from the movies, social events, food triggers UNTIL you have a good handle on it! You could be killing yourself. Did your surgeon not provide you with some sort of pre-surgery councelling, did you pass it? I wish you the best, but get a grip on this. -
Typical rate of weight loss
Threetimesacharm replied to NurseGrace's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is all very subjective. No one should say that you should lose 8-9 pounds a month and this is good. If you have say 200 pounds to lose is this good, really? It is up to you OP. I had only 73 pounds to lose and at 15 weeks out have 15 more pounds to reach my goal. You get out of it what you put into it. You CAN reach your goal weight!!! -
Do anyone have extra saliva in there mouth after eating. I think they call it sliming.
Threetimesacharm replied to taxicone31's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are probably eating too big of a bite(should be about a quarter of a teaspoon at a time). Also you need to eat slowly put your fork down between bites. Make sure you are weighing/measuring out your portion at each meal. Start with softer foods and slowly introduce more chewier meats. -
I need diet plan help, please!
Threetimesacharm replied to Freja's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Fruit is very high in calories and sugar I would stay away from it. Things that you can have pureed: tuna, soft fishes, soft cheese(laughing cow), canned meats(chicken/ham), cottage cheese, chili. You could also puree your veggies if you need some but focus on your protein at this point as you are not taking in many calories and you need the protein. -
Pain in my left shoulder
Threetimesacharm replied to RobbiesGirl's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It has to do with a nerve in your stomach that radiates up to your shoulder. I had it on and off for 5 years with my lapband. I no longer have this pain(though it was a dull pain). -
What was your Christmas meal like?
Threetimesacharm replied to PdxMan's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
One thing is puzzling me: this saying of a two or three "bites" of this or that. What constitutes a BITE. Are you no longer weighing/measuring food just eyeballing? A bite can be very small or VERY large. Just want to understand everyone's "quantity' when they are saying, "bite". Only a few posts acutally talk about the portion of food they ate, which makes sense to me not a "bite of this or that". -
Better yet, be prepared! Bring snacks with you: protein drink, soup, RTD shakes.

Recent border problems?
Threetimesacharm replied to amytug's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
No it must be because she is drinking, stop worrying. You will never make it to your surgery date that way. There is nothing more you can do to prepare but follow your pre-op diet. -
What kind of help do you need after surgery?
Threetimesacharm replied to RedCardinal's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will be fine by yourself. I live alone also and was very fine on my own. If you have someone stop by that would be nice just incase you do need something. -
What is a onelander? Congrats though on your NSV what a great feeling!!

If you mean "for the first time" yes you can bleed. Also depending where you are in your cycle you could also bleed. Don't worry it is a natural part of life!!

Merry christmas! clear liquids?
Threetimesacharm replied to kbby's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I did stay on clear liquids for one week then went to full liquids. Don't rush it. Cream Soups, milk, thin Protein shakes would be great on full liquids. Know that you won't get much in. Just keep sipping something all day long. You are doing great!! Congrats!! Merry Christmas!! -

Feeling terrible! What's going on?
Threetimesacharm replied to mezanne1401's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try not to have soup and solid at the same meal, eat either soup or have your pureed foods. Eat very small 1/4 teaspoons at a time and eat slow. Measure out your 2 ounce serving at each sitting. Good Luck -

Threetimesacharm replied to mezanne1401's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Puree first. Beef would not be the best choice to consume I am 15 weeks out and don't eat beef. Soft meats, tuna, canned meats, canned fish and cottage cheese, yogurt are your best bets. -
If you don't drink water you will become dehydrated and end up in the hospital. Start drinking and call your doctor for help.

If you have a stuck feeling in your throat you have eaten too much. Sounds like you have it though, the feeling in your upper chest is fullness. -
8 weeks out and feeling doubt...
Threetimesacharm replied to Strangefruit's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Doctors can so lack compassion. My question though is why are you throwing up so much? How much food are you trying to consume at once? What foods may be causing this(chicken, tough meats) Throwing up is not good, this is a concern. -
Oh how fantastic congratulations!! I made it to onederland this month too!! Oh what a feeling!!!! Merry Christmas!!
