Threetimesacharm replied to Lisa'slosinit's topic in Food and Nutrition
There are no good fast food choices. It's fast food garbage really. -
Going to Mexico alone
Threetimesacharm replied to coexist23's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Maybe you should post a new thread for this. It really does not relate to this post. Sounds like you are trying to sell this Doctor?? -
Going to Mexico alone
Threetimesacharm replied to coexist23's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
To the OP: No worries, I went in September to Dr Garcia. He is an amazingly skilled surgeon, you have made the right choice. I was by myself and you well meet others at the hotel/hospital. Tell Meli and Rosi that Donna says HI!!!!! -
Can you lose too much weight?
Threetimesacharm replied to daluvoflife's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well if you think you are losing too much, increase your food intake with higher calorie fare. Sounds pretty straight forward to me. Oh to have a problem of losing too much...............I could only wish -
Band 2 Sleeve - Scar Tissue Problems?
Threetimesacharm replied to AndreB2S's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
There is a forum for band to sleeve revision. There will be many helpful posts there. I had a revision after having my band also for 5 years. I had a fantastically skilled surgeon but did not have any issues with scar tissue from what I know. You won't regret doing this you will love your sleeve! Best of Luck! Happy New Year!! -
Stall/ going on 7th week and no loss for the past 4
Threetimesacharm replied to MrsM's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try to shake things up a bit: eat a few more calories one day then less the next, stick to low/no carb, I am in an 11 day stall and just lost .6 this morning. Stay away from the holiday goodies, you don't need it, you had the sleeve to be successful, remember the first 6 months are the ultimate time. -

Threetimesacharm replied to Strangefruit's topic in Food and Nutrition

Ugh....weight loss stopped
Threetimesacharm replied to gigi2195's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I too had the three week stall and now again I have been in a stall for 11 days. I am going to be 16 weeks out tomorrow. It is very frustrating I know but we need to hang in there and know that the weight loss will continue. -

Have Any Of You Eaten Solid Food Before You Were Supposed To?
Threetimesacharm replied to ginajet77's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
My only comment is this original OP posted in April 2012. It does not even look like they ever responded. We have started something back up and the original posters(including the last one in April) aren't even around anymore. I wonder how they have faired with their surgeries? -
Discrepency in cost of surgery
Threetimesacharm replied to #Redy4chg.org's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I hear that Dr Ortiz is an excellent surgeon, when I was there others at the Hotel had used him. I would chock this up to a learning experience Mexican style. Try one more time speaking to someone in your coordinators office. If you have no luck in getting a price change just go ahead and get ready for your surgery. You will not be disappointed regardless of what you pay. Good Luck!! -
I'm flying from Detroit to San Diego for $600.00 I doubt that you would have to pay much more.

Regret even after initial "omg, what have I done?"
Threetimesacharm replied to EnigmaInKY's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To this poster: your stomach does NOT GROW OUT. It may relax where you can eat a little more but thats it. What gets people gaining is poor food choices and too much grazing. -
A tummy tuck scar is 1,000 times better than a hanging belly. No question!

Questions after near death experiance in operating room?
Threetimesacharm replied to Kapoorvilla's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am sure that you signed a waiver before your surgery. It is a risk that you take. Puncturing your bowel would be lack of skill on part of your surgeon. Truly you wouldn't have a legal leg to stand on. I bet that you are doing terrific now, all the best to you! -

Congratulations on your successful surgery. I am sure that you will be very happy with your sleeve. I noticed though that you did not have much weight to lose, have you had weight issues? I agree too Mexico is the way to go!! -
Just booked with Dr Salas in Tijuana Mexico!
Threetimesacharm replied to Threetimesacharm's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Yes he does, I believe if you google his name it will come up. It is very interesting in that in Mexico you will find that most procedures are done under local anesthesia, this means less hardship not your body and a better recovery. If you contact me after the 14th of January I will let you know how it went. Full name: Dr Jose Luis Salas -
Ahhhhhhhh, Loose Skin Everywhere
Threetimesacharm replied to Catracks's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You very well can have loose skin on your back and butt. You will need a lower body lift to remove this extra skin but they go all the way around and do the tummy tuck too!! Voila a new you!! I am 48 years old and still have alot of livin' to do especially now that I am slim. I am going in January 2013 to Tijuana for some plastics. I want to be able to wear a bathing suit as I love going to the beach and hope to be doing so for many more years. -

2 months out - NSV
Threetimesacharm replied to dadici's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I totally know where you are coming from. I felt the same way buying pants and I ended up buying a size 11!! It is a new, wonderful feeling to NOT be shopping in the fat section. Somewhere inside you think you should still be there even though you truly do not. Great Job wearing a size 16, you ROCK those pants!! -
My first month was like that too. Gained 7 pounds during surgery, took a week to get it off. Stalled at three weeks then the weight started coming off really well. November I lost 16 pounds. It is frustrating but be patient it will happen.
