If you think you are eating too much you probably are. At ONE WEEK OUT it certainly seems like way too much. Seems like your doctor is aware and is okay with it. Do what you think is right, remember that you are in this to lose weight and the slower you go in the beginning you should lose lots of weight, as time goes on that is when you should/will be consuming more and weight loss will slow down.

Is anyone's goal weight higher than the BMI chart weight?
Threetimesacharm replied to her1981's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I think his goal weight was set based on the percentage of weight loss you are expected to lose say 75-80% of excess weight. If you are okay with it great, if not set your own realistic goal and go for it!! My weight has actually settled at 5 pounds below the goal I set for myself, woohoo! -
Burning in stomach

Could also be an ulcer, I would get it checked out. -
Eating habits = no Bueno.
Threetimesacharm replied to cmherring's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well it is a tough thing to say but if you have had these foods at 6 weeks it will only get harder for you as time goes on. As another has said, now that you know that you can eat those foods and feel okay it could put you into a spiral and eat the wrong foods again. Don't lose sight of why you had this surgery; certainly not to keep eating pizza and chips!! Get a grip and support from your NUT or a group of others like minded, good luck. -

Arm lift, tummy tuck, compression garments - going to BajaMed for surgery
Threetimesacharm replied to crazyj's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
That pretty much is what they cost, they are expensive. Do not short yourself and buy an inferior brand/garment. Having the right compression garment is paramount in helping you heal correctly. Good luck with surgery I have been to Tijuana twice for plastics and had a great experience both times. -
I just have to wonder is your Mother obese? Or on the flipside is she thin, tinny never had a weight problem? This could make a difference in where she is coming from; lack of knowledge, jealousy, fear, resentment.

Surgery in Mexico
Threetimesacharm replied to sissy01's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mexico is a great country to have surgery in. I am sure you will do fine. What does your price include? Mine included accomodations at a recovery house and hospital stay, 24/7 support/driver, 2 years nutritionist support, 24/7 access to the surgeon. -
3 days till plastics tiiiime!
Threetimesacharm replied to Elode's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I had a breast lift and didn't have any pain with that, go figure. I have had two tummy surgeries and I have a suggestion for you. Ask what shape of belly button your surgeon does. The straight up and down one(as in the pics from the other poster) does not turn out very nice, as someone else mentions they couldn't see it. I had this one the first time. The second time the surgeon did a round one much much nicer looking. Congrats on your surgery, you will be soooo happy!! -

Surgery in Mexico
Threetimesacharm replied to sissy01's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I had two surgeries in Mexico. Who is your surgeon? What company are you going with? Bariatric Pal has a great set-up for surgery. I used Dr Zavalza the second time and he was fantastic!! -
Sleeve to bypass
Threetimesacharm replied to LisaB9511's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
If you research here I beleive that there are lots! I had sleeve to bypass on September 04, 2015. The best decision I could have made. I find it to be much different than the sleeve(in a good way). Good Luck! -
My story… OPEN Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery (RNY) in 2002; Revision in 2016
Threetimesacharm replied to MxKitty's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Thank you so much for sharing your story and successes! It is very well written and good to know of what may happen in the future. Glad to hear you are doing so great, congrats! -
I am very sorry for your loss, I sure hope it was an accident. Sometimes you need to grieve your own way and well sometimes that involves food. Try to start thinking of all of the happy times you had together, this may help lift your spirits. As far as food goes, one day at a time. right now I am eating a high protein breakfast(egg, chicken skewer from Costco), lunch is a spring mix salad and a protein(chicken, turkey, fish), dinner is another protein and small amount of vegetable and snack could be yogurt with applesauce, protein bar, hot mocha(instant coffee with 25 calorie hot chocolate, yum)! Also I enjoy turkey slice with cream cheese, rice cake with peanut butter or cream cheese. Hang in there, each day will get better and relish all of the wonderful days you had together.

Do you have a nutritionist that you are working with? The chicken nuggets would definitely not be on the list of foods to eat; high sugar, high fat and probably carbs. If you don't take the advise you read hear or research on line. You will find many appropriate eating plans that will help you lose weight again.

Gaining weight with Lap-Band
Threetimesacharm replied to Gaylene Davison's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
I had the lapband for 7 years and it was a nighmare; could eat healthy foods got stuck ended up eating slider foods, gained weight. Always wary of what I was eating because everthing got stuck(I wasn't too tight either). I beleive at some point every lapband will have to be removed anyway, I don't think it is meant to be in you for life. The GB is the best surgery decision I could have made. Weight is staying off, I get full quickly and it hasn't had a negative effect on my metabolism. I say go ahead, remove it and go with another permanent surgery option. -

Husband's breaking furniture due to weight, but still refuses surgery?
Threetimesacharm replied to Comfy_Blue's topic in The Lounge
If you didn't have the surgery what would be your outlook? Don't forget that you have been where he is. I too have quietly been critical of obese people and realize how I must have been disgusting to others. I am so glad that you have been successful; his time will come, love him or go your own way. -

Rate of malabsorption with RNY?
Threetimesacharm replied to gpmed's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
No idea what the clinical answer is but personally for me I don't have great malabsorption. They say over time that your intestines adapt and your malabsorption rate is lessened. -
I totally understand how hard breaking up is. You need to sever the ties permanently by speaking with him it still holds you at whatever level to him, that isn't making it easier for your. Let go, move on, seek new friends, cry, cry and cry some more(if you have to). There will be bright sunshine at the end of the tunnel! Oh and don't let him tell you that everyone else is doing it................because they are not. What sex acts people enjoy is personal to each one. A little funny I spoke with a woman years ago and she stated how gross and ugly she thought a man's private parts were!! I am sure we can all imagine that she isn't getting too close!! So yah, not everyone is doing it!!!
