advice please from people who have had plastic surgery
Threetimesacharm replied to CowgirlJane's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi CGJ, Here is only my opinion as I have had several plastic surgeries: tummy tuck breast lift and pubic lift at the same time arm lift and labiaplasty at the same time. Personally I don't think that I could handle doing arms and TT or LBL at the same time. You can barely move/use your arms much for the first two weeks though it does get better as time goes on. You are hunched over from the TT and I am sure a LBL will leave you quite immobile for a while as it is all the way around the body; lots of slow movement and such. Breast lift for me was very easy so I could have combined that with anything. The scar for the arm lift is long and well is noticable though I only had it done in January and I hope that it will fade more as time goes by. I will say though that my arm shape is fantastic and I can now fit into all clothing; jackets, tops with arms and I look great. I know that the more PS I do the more you kind of need/want. You just notice the other parts of your body more as the one part looks better the other ones start to look worse, if you know what I mean. Good luck with whatever you decide, it is well worth it for sure. -
Tummy Tuck in Mexico...Any recommendations?
Threetimesacharm replied to scubadottie's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Hi Dottie, I went to see Dr Salas in January for some work. Please PM me and I will tell you all about it. I do NOT recommend him. Congratulations on your weight loss, you look fantastic!!! -
I have worse breath than my dog!
Threetimesacharm replied to bmbrush413's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I never had bad breath and lost weight steadily. You are not supposed to chew gum not because you will swallow it but because it creates saliva which in turn creates stomach acids and extra air(gas); you don't want this in your tummy. -
Can I get the sleeve at the same time my band is taken out?
Threetimesacharm replied to marfar7's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yes I had my lapband removed and sleeve done in the same surgery and did not have a de-fill before surgery. The procedure went fantastic no problems at all. -
Sleeve vs. lapband
Threetimesacharm replied to need2bthin!'s topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I had my revision on September 10, 2012 and it was the absolute best decision I could have made. I had my band for 5 years and had many of the problems you have read here. Don't even consider the band; I now have a $16,000.00 souvenir!! -
Fruit can be very fibrous, be careful and stick with protein and your applesauce.

Has anyone had any complications with Dr Garcia doing the sleeve?
Threetimesacharm replied to latina1974's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
You should have specified Dr "FERNANDO" Garcia as there is more than one Dr Garcia. -
How Soon Can I Resume My Pre-Sleeve Eating Lifestyle?!?!
Threetimesacharm replied to AmandaRaeLeo's topic in Rants & Raves
Here, here Amanda Rae!! I am one of those sleevers who can't help myself and answer the posts of those performing the ridiculous food anticts as you stated above. I just don't understand it I hope that with a little shaking up they can realize what they should be doing and seek the help/guidance to get there. I don't believe they should be coddled; sometimes I think they tell half the story just to see what type of responses they will get; you know the "I have gained weight/ can't lose weight/ am a slow loser". Expect some sound advise from those of us who have been successful, take it for what it is and use it if they choose, don't complain when someone answers you honestly, for them the truth hurts and they don't want to hear it. Happy journey to you Amanda I know you will be successful!!! -
So many Dr's in Mexico!…help!
Threetimesacharm replied to mlecompte's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Mi Doctor hospital is a full service 3 story hospital. They also have an ICU if needed. Dr Fernando Garcia, who did my surgery, operates out of this hospital. Careful because there is another Dr Garcia, as mentioned here. Dr Fernando Garcia is an amazingly skilled surgeon, has performed over 4 thousand surgeries and completed my revision. I had no real pain, no gas and was very well cared for. I have had no complications, have exceeded my goal weight and am thrilled with my outcome. If you want any further information don't hesitate to PM me. He also is very reasonable so you can't go wrong if price is a concern. -
I love PB2. You can put it in your protein shakes, both the regular and chocolate are fantastic. Enjoy!

Stopped losing weight
Threetimesacharm replied to BPN80's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes it is normal. Shake up your caloric intake; higher a day, then lower a day or two. This worked for me. -
Baby Food for Puree Phase
Threetimesacharm replied to Yoli3925's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
It is a good idea but remember that you really want to stick with eating protein at this stage as you really are consuming so little food. -
Can you lose too much before surgery?
Threetimesacharm replied to rebecca_dsu's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh no problem in Mexico. As you said you are self pay and they don't have any restrictions on how much or how little you weigh. Lose all you want and then enjoy the benefits of the surgery. Have a great time in Hawaii!!! -

Why am I a Slowwwwwwwww loser?
Threetimesacharm replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Not sure why you are getting so upset with me. Is it because I hit a nerve and I am right? Your heading in your post is, "Why am I a slow loser?" Expect that people will answer you. I do still feel sorry for you...............overreacting won't get you anywhere........in life. -
I think he was just saying like a man would, take it for a grain of salt. You were the big girl and if it was correct to call you this or not; men don't think like woman do. If he is younger, say under 30, give him a break, he hasn't been trained yet!! He clearly likes you, see where it goes, maybe you will be the one to set him straight; if not for you then the next gal.

Right upper arm pain (put on side during surgery?)
Threetimesacharm replied to katikati's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No, there is no reason to be put you on your side at all. I don't think that pain in your right shoulder has anything to do with your VSG; now if you said left side yes, but not right. -
SLEEVED at Florence Hospital with Dr. Garcia!

Why am I a Slowwwwwwwww loser?
Threetimesacharm replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am only giving her MY opinion which I have the right to do/or not. I am far from being rude as I have have read in her posts, to those just trying to help. As I said she can take what I say or not; but understand it is coming from a sleever who has been very successful AND reached her goal weight. I won't encourage those who blame everything/one else on why they are not losing weight, she needs to be accountable; to be successful. -
Why am I a Slowwwwwwwww loser?
Threetimesacharm replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
To Newgrandmother: why are you so self righteous? You post on here about OOHH how you are a slow loser, yet when someone(butterbean) who has been VERY successful at weight loss offers their insight you lambast him!! I truly feel sorry for you. I don't think you are eating right(I have read many of your posts) eat way to many carbs and calories and are now way past the 6 month mark. Take advise/criticism as it comes and use it to your benefit or not, but don't lash out at someone who is just trying to help you because NGM you obviously are not RIGHT! -
Am I sabotaging myself?
Threetimesacharm replied to Luchie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Definitely don't worry about the calories in your cheese, you consume so little, eat the good stuff. I have never watched fat in anything I eat and I am at goal. Good Luck with your issue, I hope your doctor fixes it. -
I just looked at the pictures you posted(yuck) I bet if you googled how many calories, fat, sugar these donuts had in ONE, you wouldn't want to eat one.

ad·dic·tion /əˈdɪkʃən/ Show Spelled [uh-dik-shuhn] Show IPA noun the state of being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit-forming, as narcotics(or food), to such an extent that its cessation causes severe trauma.
