Hair loss... My story
Threetimesacharm replied to Joy0125's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have fine hair but lots of it and yes I have lost hair at the top of my head. It is noticable to me, as you can see more of my scalp, but I am sure no one else notices. I am 8.75 months out and I don't think that it has started to grow back yet. I too have done all the pre-measures: bitoin, vitamins, lots of protein but to no avail............................... -
Dr. Paul Wizman, Margate Fl
Threetimesacharm replied to fe9104's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Maybe you can ask Dr Wizman for patient referrals to find out their experience. You also have your parents to speak to about their experience, sounded like you did not know anyone who used him. -
Gastric Sleeve In Guadalajara Mexico
Threetimesacharm replied to Nelly1828's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Your Dad really has no idea what it is like in Tijuana. I had my surgery with Dr Fernando Garcia in Tijuana and it was extremely safe and clean: just like a city in the U.S. What is the difference with Guadalhara? His price also is very reasonable and he is an amazingly skilled surgeon. Have a look at posts about him, you won't be disappointed. -
All I can say is..............GROSS

A Rant: Did you not read anything on this site before asking? Are you new here?!
Threetimesacharm replied to rebecca_dsu's topic in Rants & Raves
OMG thank you for this post. Some of the questions are ridiculous and I swear they don't even to attempt to search the forum for the answer: that has already probably been posted 100 times!! -
Minor concern
Threetimesacharm replied to bianca172's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes what are you eating, how much are you eating? I have yet to have solid beef and I am over 8 months, eat softer foods in small amounts. -
Hang in there you can do it!!
-
Fat is an important part of your diet, I say if you have to have milk, go for the 2%, the calorie difference is nominal, it tastes better, and the little bit of extra fat is good for you.

Has anyone lost and then regained ALL of their weight?
Threetimesacharm replied to AussieLady's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I doubt that you will find many here who will admit to it. It definitely would require constantly eating high calorie food; a conscious choice for sure. -
So with all this talk of cheating on your pre-op, I have a confession.
Threetimesacharm replied to LipstickLady's topic in Pre-op Diets and Questions
Tell your NUT and I am sure she will say that you are fine. No worries. -
If your trying to cheat aiready. Your notvready
Threetimesacharm replied to tlah's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just to add my two cents.................okay a nickle Everyone on this forum has a right to voice there opinion. Maybe in the OP's experience she knows what she is saying.............none of us knows what our future will hold when it comes to our weight loss and the sleeve, but going into the surgery prepared and following all the guidelines can only help us to be successful well into the future. I don't think that drinking, eating out, no exercise in the long run will keep our weight off. For most of us this is what brought us to weight loss surgery in the first place. We have all heard it before, healthy eating, exercise, no smoking, drinking in moderation too lose weight; and you know what, THEY all were right!! I think the OP has her heart in the right place she just wants us ALL to be successful, I know that I do. Cheers -
Why the sleeve and not gastric bypass?
Threetimesacharm replied to Ree's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
In my opinion go for the bypass. This surgery is very helpful if you are a sugar addict. This is a food product that we don't need to eat so for some, not being able to without getting sick is a selling factor. One of my doctors had this surgery for this reason and is extremely happy and has lost alot of weight. With either surgery you can gain weight back; it is all about choices. -
Non Scale Victory - Smallest clothing size yet! *pic*
Threetimesacharm replied to smbergie200's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Wow you look fantastic!! Hot, Hot, Hot!!!! -
Removing 85% is the normal in the U.S. and Mexico, not the exception. So we are right on track with what they do in Australia. I think YOUR doctor is the exception, taking only 70% is not the norm.

Agree with others that you should have more snacks: nuts, cheese and fruit, protein, veggies. Have a protein shake with fruit. There are many ways to add healthy calories, you can do it.

Vets: Anyone lost too much weight?!?!
Threetimesacharm replied to NewSetOfCurves's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well for me if I stick to my eating plan during weight loss, yes, I could continue to lose weight. I find that I have to eat more food, some times higher calorie to prevent this. To the one poster that wants a BMI of 22, that seems to be a low weight have you thought you may be too skinny at this weight? For me right now my BMI is just under 25(normal) and I have very little fat and I do have loose skin, it is what it is as they say. As you get closer to your goal you may change what you want to weigh. -
does anyone know why?
Threetimesacharm replied to moviemom05's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I have not waited for any of my surgeries and have had excellent results. They say to go with 20 pounds of your goal because if you are having excess skin removed will result in a weight loss and also you may need the fat to move into another part of your body(think: into your butt). I say go for it you won't regret it!! -
Itchy/ numb skull
Threetimesacharm replied to simonetwentynine's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
It could be related to hair loss but also dry skin. With the low amount of food that we eat I think it also drys our skin. I do take biotin but I still have itchy skin: tummy, head, arms. I use alot of creams too! -
Deposit at marriott in tijuanna
Threetimesacharm replied to confidence's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
I stayed at the Marriott September 2012 and did not have to pay a deposit. Who is saying that you have to pay one? -
I cant eat T.T
Threetimesacharm replied to Mohammed Alshamsi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Try to eat when it is not meal time, at night, grab a protien bar and put it in your pocket. I am not sure if you may have to disclose your surgery too them. I doubt that they could discriminate against you because of it. Good Luck -
My wife is pissed!
Threetimesacharm replied to O.T.R. sleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tell her that you prefer to see her loveliness in more feminine attire and compliment her when she does. Maybe she will stop wanting to look all frumpy in your big old clothes. -
What is a slider?
Threetimesacharm replied to nursepez's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Foods that you can eat more of and typically make you want to eat more of them: potato chips crackers popcorn cookies cake high sodium/fat/sugar can all be contributors to this. -
